I visited Pak Sweets on a Saturday morning and OMG -- it was PACKED!!! After a short wait, we got a table and ordered right away. We had the halwa puri, and it was absolutely delicious. It genuinely reminded me of Pakistan -- the halwa wasn't overly sweet, just perfect. The channay were so flavorful, the puris were super fresh, and I loved that they served achar on the side. The chai was authentic and fresh, exactly how it should be. Easily one of my favorite spots for brunch. Highly recommend! read more

Recently went with a large group and looked more carefully at the receipt. They charged a 7.5% service fee that we weren't aware of. I don't appreciate being charged without my awareness. This wasn't well advertised if advertised at all. Food is still good but would appreciate them advertising this fee vs slipping it in unknowingly. read more

Pak Sweets on Devon is shockingly unhygienic. Staff handle food after sweeping floors without washing hands, and there's constant in-and-out traffic to the kitchen by random people. The kitchen is overcrowded, from kids to older individuals, and early morning staff appear unkempt, as if they just woke up in the kitchen. Avoid at all costs! read more

Excellent breakfast: we tried maghaz masala, omelette paratha, and halwa poori. All of the dishes were flavorful. The paratha and naan were great. The establishment is family run and service is fast and friendly. Its setup as a fast casual restaurant, clean, and well maintained. We also ordered sweets and samosas as gifts. was visiting from mo just went in there to check and there was live music on loved it we tried pani purri it was amazing like always and then the owner gave us the full bowl of chaat which was amazing love it and free live music omg it was amazing she was singing the old music but good had so much fun the owner said they do this every Saturday will definitely come next time on Saturday read more

We went here for an Eid day snack... samosa chaat! It's located a little down the street from Tahoora - the idea is the same, with shabbier decor. I haven't tried more than just their samosa chaat and chicken paratha roll (which are both BOMB and better than Tahoora, IMO) so i can't speak much to the overall comparison of other food + desserts between both places. When we went, it was packed but the crown fluctuated in size... it wasn't annoying. Parking on Devon is usually hell, but it wasn't too bad we found something right across the street. This is a no frills , family owned business serving authentic Pakistani food. Everything that we have tried so far has been exceptional with a home made taste and we find ourselves going here over and over again. We went here because they offer Zabiha Halal Pizza. It was very good and I would recommend checking it out. We got the Chicken Tikka Pizza and it was very delicious! It's the simple things in life that are often the most enjoyable, and in this humble sweet shop among the company of friends you'll find the nostalgic experience of visiting the aunt and uncles house for breakfast. Your tray arrives with a stack of three, fluffy puri: fried lightly on the outside and chewy on the inside. With them come an incredible potato and garbanzo bean dish, yogurt sauce, mango pickle, and of course the halwa. The halwa is not too sweet, but subtle. You'll wonder how three puris is possibly enough for all the sides, but once your tray has been cleared with the necessary help of your friends, you'll wonder how it's possible to eat any more. Of course, you've ordered some samosas on the side. Go for the beef filled crunchy variety over the larger, potato filled one. The aloo samosa lacks proper spice and peas that make other samosas superior. Finishing off the meal with chai is a must, but here you'll find a blend overly infused with milk. Ah well, the home cooked breakfast has been the perfect way to start the day, except now taking a nap sounds like a very solid option. read more

5 stars hands down! The family run and owned business has amazing food. The sweets are by far the one of the best and better then competition around. The restaurants appearance is not impressive, but keep in mind your there for the authentic good taste of the food which is there. The cashier was friendly and nice. Now only if they would clean the finger prints on the front glass i would find a way to give them 6 starts. Highly recommend the: Regular barfi Soan halva Halva puri was excellent also. It's a shame that this place doesn't get as much recognition as is should. As far as décor goes, Tahoora wins, but Pak Sweets beats them in every other category. It tastes better, it's fresh, the cashiers are more friendly and it's slightly more affordable than Tahoora. I made multiple trips there this summer to order boxes of sweets to send out with the wedding invitations. Each time I ordered a different mixture of meetai (sweets) and was never disappointed. BONUS: They don't put nuts in their halwa! For people like me (with nut allergies) its rare to be able to enjoy halwa puri without worrying about having a reaction. read more

Went for halwa poori nashta with a group of friends. We had omelette paratha, aalo paratha, halwa poori and chai. Halwa poori came with cholay and aalo which was really good. Paratha was good too but omelette was extremely salty. We had two omelettes and both were very salty. Not sure if this was a mistake or that's how they normally make it. I was not a fan of their aalo paratha as it wasnt crispy like it should be. It was mushy and soggy for my liking. Finally their chai was pretty good They need to work on cleaning the place more often. We had to clean our own tables and there was literally food on the floor from previous guests. For appetizers we had crab cakes, sweet potato chaat, and chilli cheese kulcha, all excellent. For main courses we had lamb shank Nihari, butter chicken, and Ghee roast prawns. Service was top notch and the decor was fancy yet inviting. We had the celebration dessert and left very full and happy. Would come back here again in a heartbeat.
