Small family owe ex pizza shop in a strip mall. The woman behind the counter was so sweet and apologized that there were other customers in front of me. I ordered a small pie with onions, mushrooms and extra cheese. The ingredients were fresh and plentiful. The crust (I chose thick) was doughy, perfectly cooked, and surprisingly flavorful. The vegetables were fresh and they go light on the sauce (which I appreciate). Vey good pizza, although a little pricey. read more

I like this place so much. I'm biased It's a block from my house. I get a combo everything pizza. It's a mom and pop. Maybe just pop Place. One employee. Just the owner , chef, front counter guy. He's nice. The pizza uses canned or pre prepared sausages , olives, pepperoni. The accouterments are pretty salty. I take the pizza home and put fresh sliced tomato on it. Located off of Lake Otis near the Lake Otis Post Office and in the same strip mall as Thai Orchid. Lalo's Pizza is a small family run restaurant that basically consists of a counter and just a few small tables. Their menu consists of various types of pizza as well as sub sandwiches including gyros and philly cheese steak, salads, chicken wings, pastas and calzones. Their pizzas and doughs are made to order and are stretched by hand in a stone oven. I happened to discover Lalo's a few years ago when I lived in the area and was looking for an alternative to the standard pizza delivery places. Though Lalo's doesn't deliver but only offers takeout, I decided to try them one day on the way home from work. I called and placed an order for a small chef's mistake which includes pepperoni, Canadian bacon, sausage, mushrooms, black olives and green peppers. Their smalls are 10 inch pies and for that particular pie the cost was $10.95. The large pizzas are 16 inch and run anywhere from $12.00 - 21.00 for one that includes pretty much everything including the kitchen sink. I was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. When I picked it up I was greeted by a young girl and the pizza was just coming out of the oven. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste. Needless to say the rest is history and I have been a customer since then. I have tried a variety of pizzas including your typical Hawaiian to a greek pizza and standard combos. The dough has always been made fresh and cooked to order. The pizza dough is not overly heavy and reminds me of some of the other pies in town including Pizza Plaza. Though the prices at Lalo's are quite a bit cheaper. I have yet to branch into their other offerings but have seen them pulled out of the oven and they definitely look good. The interior of Lalo's is nothing spectacular but it is clean and they do have tables if you happen to arrive early and wait. Just be sure not to challenge any of the extraordinarily large plants that home themselves in the restaurant. Someone at Lalo's certainly has a green thumb. Lalo's also has daily specials running numbered from 1-8. For instance their special #1 is a large two topping pizza with antipasto salad and a two liter salad for $22.95 while their special #3 is a family special of 2 dinners with your choice of pasta (baked lasagna, spaghetti, beef or cheese ravioli) with antipasto or Caesar salad and a two liter soda for $44.95. They also offer tortas. While my experiences continue to remain with Lalo's, I will continue to visit. A great stop for a quick tasty meal. read more

Decided to check this place out considering my local deli had given me the recommendation. People apparently love them on Yelp. They have a sticker and reviews to prove it. However, I came by to try a slice during their business hours ... and they are closed? I thought maybe I messed up or the sign on their door was dated, however checked other sites and the hours reflected the same. I ordered take-out the other night and got the Lalo's combo and Greek gyro to go. Picked it up in 20 minutes and was out the door. This is a nice little joint and there are only a couple of tables for in-house eating. There is no arctic entry so in-house eating in the summer only. Pizza was hot and delicious. I really liked the pineapple with all the meat and veggies; it's a good combination. Hehehe. I ate the gyro a couple of nights later and was not disappointed. The toppings on their pizzas are perfectly proportioned, the sauce has just enough acidity that it doesn't steal the show, and their crust is thin, crispy, and slightly sweet. So far all I have had was their Gyro's on several occasions, and they come with potato salad or a house salad. Usually you have to pay for sides. I don't eat in even though they have like 3 fourtops. The're good because I keep coming back. Soon I'll order a pizza! I think it's great for local takeout especially if I'm visiting the Lake Otis Post Office. They're across the parking lot from it. We ordered the gourmet italian pizza and it took 20 minutes like they said. As others have said before the crust wears perfectly soft and crunchy :) the pizza was good, but there was no sauce so it was a bit dry. I really like the sauce part on my pizzas. I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to be, but I will ask next time I place an order with them for any pizza. I thought it was bizarre so that's the reason for a slightly lower rating. Sauce probably would have bumped them up to 4 stars, but I'll be back! :) read more

Great Pizza! The dough is delish and the service is fast. Today however when we picked up our 20piece order of wings, my husband watched the cook drop one on the floor and turn around, it seemed like he threw the dropped wing back into the basket before tossing it in sauce and serving it. Still giving the benefit of the doubt (because we really enjoy this establishment) he let the cashier know we saw him drop the wing, if the order contained 19 wings we'll keep them but if there are 20 there was no way we were eating them. They counted the wings together and there were 18 wings!! He gave us back our money for the wings. Very disappointing. On top of it, we asked for a salad and were told they were out of salads - although their fridge was full of lettuce - it's possible they were out of dressings. Who knows.
