Let's start with service 15/10 rating like wow and this praise goes to the entire staff not just our waiter. When they say team work is the dream work they mean it. Even the MANAGERRRR Bryan made sure we were taken care of from clearing dishes to bringing out food to checking on us every minute they were amazing. Went here a couple months back from a friend suggestion. Was looking for a brunch place that I hadn't tried before and the Alexandria area as a halfway point for a friend and I. When we arrived, we were seated immediately, which was surprising for it to be a Saturday afternoon, but I think because of the time brunch was about to end so we probably missed the busiest hours. They had a brunch buffet on Saturday and Sunday, though the both of us were not really hungry. We were more so there for the brunch cocktails and mimosas. The small plates that we did order were extremely flavorful. Eating the small plates made me definitely want to come back to try other dishes on their menu, including their brunch buffet, love the atmosphere of the restaurant. Went in for brunch with a friend on Saturday. We were able to get seated right away without a reservation. We sat outdoors and the server quickly greeted us and took our order. We got the bottomless brunch with passion fruit Bellinis each. Our first round of food came out shortly after but we didn't have utensils until our second round of food came out so we had to wait. What a friendly establishment. I was treated with care by every staff person. I visited Palette 22 on Friday afternoon and we did have a reservation although it wasn't at all packed. There's indoor and outdoor seating. Parking can be really difficult in this area so just be prepared to get your steps in if you don't luck up on close by. The restaurant is spacious and inviting. I was hoping to still be able to have brunch but that's only on weekends. The food did not disappoint. And I tried quite a few items. I forgot to get pictures of them all. I ordered the unlimited menu which is worth it because you still get a nice portions even though they are tapas sized. I'd have to say my favorite item was the wild mushroom pizza. So yummy! The glasses they come in are super cute, both were very good! The juice tastes like they make it in-house, but I'm not quite sure. I pictured only some of the plates we had. But the standouts to me: Churros, Jerk Chicken Skewers, and the Avocado Hummus. The habanero sauce on the jerk chicken skewers was so good, perfectly spicy and the chicken was amazing. Celebrating a friends birthday, she chose Palette 22 for a Sunday brunch! All dishes are tapas/small plate style and are bottomless for about $27. What a cute concept! So you can potentially try several food items on the menu and not feel like an entire pig. WINNING! All 8 of us took advantage of the bottomless tapas and 7 of the ladies took advantage of the mimosas which I think were $4.44 a glass. Options such as hibiscus, watermelon, and pineapple were offered. Bloody Mary's and Bellini's are also offered. Let me put y'all on to game...the best thing to do is to order 2 dishes at a time, because the food comes out sporadically and you wouldn't have to wait for each plate you order. Each time the server came out, we made sure to give her our next drink and food orders. Some food takes a bit longer to prepare, so it was a steady flow. Some of the runners bringing the food to the table aren't the friendliest and were often flinging our food on the table, hence the deducted star rating. Other than them seeming to be tired of coming to our table, our server was friendly and on point with our orders. She even gave the birthday girl a free mimosa for the occasion. It often took forever for the table to be cleared with our previously used glasses and plates, so our table was a bit cluttered with dirty dishes that neither the runners picked up and our server only picked up close to us departing. Our server and runners did wear gloves, which I appreciated and the runners wore masks and I GREATLY appreciated that. The food was hit or miss. A few of the stand out stars were the chicken and waffles, jerk chicken skewers, pumpkin donuts, and Cobb salad. The churros were burnt and wasn't worth ordering and the breakfast taco really missed the mark. Was attracted by Yelp reviews. Came for late lunch. Nice weather, chose a table outside. All outside tables ( including mine) were dusty and have birds poop marks on. I noticed but all tables were dirty, I thought not big floral, they just started outdoor sitting, I am sure the first thing the server will do will be to wipe the table. Well.... He didn't.
