Stopped in for a casual meal on a Saturday evening. The place was about 1/2 full so not too busy. Placed our order at the counter and went find a seat. Most of the empty tables were free of used dishes but had not been wiped down so we had to ask a waitress for a rag to wipe the table. Things weren't starting well. I had ordered a gyro and my wife ordered chicken wings with a tiramisu for desert. The gyro was brought out quickly. As it turns out, too quickly. The chicken wings took another 10 minutes to arrive. When I told the waitress that the gyro was now cold, she explained that the wings take longer to cook. I realized that attempting to explain that timing the completion of the orders is what a restaurant is supposed to do would be a waste of time. We simply finished our meals with me eating a cold gyro. One consolation was that I don't think the gyro would have been any good if eaten warm. A few thin, tasteless strips of meat do not make for a good gyro whether it is warm or cold. Once we were done with the entrees, my wife waited for her tiramisu. Unfortunately, the timing of service continued to be lacking. Finally, I had to go to the counter to see if the dessert was still coming. Based on the reaction, if I hadn't asked we would likely still be waiting for dessert. While my wife ate her tiramisu, which was pretty good, I figured out why the place seemed to performing so poorly. I watched the manager walk by our table to return to a booth to sit with what I assumed was a friend. The manager had been at the booth throughout our meal, sharing videos from his phone with his friend. I watched both the manager and his friend go behind the counter to get glasses for soda. When we left, the two were sitting in the outside eating area smoking cigarettes. I don't know if this restaurant was better in the past, but I wouldn't expect any improvement in quality or service with this caliber of management. read more

I don't know what happened to this place, but it has gone down hill FAST! I call in a delivery order this evening at 9:20. They close at 10PM. Some twit named Haley answers the phone with a tone that screams, "I hate the world!" I say I would like to place an order for delivery and she says she doesn't think they are delivering anymore this evening. She starts having a conversation with someone else and then decides they are still doing delivery. This may have something to do with the fact that they are still open for another 40 freaking minutes, no? I rarely place the orders, so my phone number has not been updated with our new address (which they just delivered to last week!). This broad says they do not deliver to our subdivision. I call bullshit since this twat is talking out of her ass. She maintains she does not think they deliver to my address and if they do, it won't be tonight. Guess what Palio's Crossroads...you are just lost a legit loyal customer (see my previous reviews). Haley has got to go. Papa Johns was more than happy to fulfill our $60 order. What happened to this place? I know the rent is not cheap in that barn looking building. Pair that with the fact there are 7 other pizza places who will deliver to our community without any employees giving a hard time to. This location may not be around much longer... read more

They're trying hard, but you might want to wait and see if they make it first. FYI - Order at the counter when you walk in, then find a table and wait for it to be delivered. Not that they tell you that when you walk in. First off, their Caesar Salad is horrific. Romaine Lettuce, shredded Mozzarella, and Italian dressing, served in an stainless steel mixing bowl. ACK! The pizza was ok, but very expensive. 1 large pizza, side salad, and soda was over $24.00 Pizzas are cut into squares, not traditional slices. It also got quite soggy while I ate. Near the end of the meal, the crust couldn't stand up; you had to eat it with a fork. Flavor was ok, but I've had much better. If they don't improve their menu and prices, this location won't last. read more

My grandmother lives close by and we were looking for something for dinner. After looking at reviews, we decided on this. We got two vegetarian pizzas (Mederterrain and Greek) , a Meat and Cheese Delux, and a beef and pineapple. They said their typical crust was thin, but they had a thicker option. We went thicker. It was all absolutely delicious. Although both veggie pizzas were yummy, the group favorite was the Greek. Next time we come to see our Meme...we will probably be getting this again. read more

In town visiting friends and they suggested this place, even comparing it to a really nice pizza joint back where I'm from. Sadly, it was anything but. The only reason this gets two stars is because the girl helping us at the front register was super friendly and helpful, as our order was to go. Beyond that, I cannot comment on the wait staff or dining room experience, but I CAN comment on the quality (or lack thereof) of the pizza. I was skeptical when we placed our order and, with the place being busy, TWO pies were ready inside of 10 minutes. Thin crust, which is fine, but dry as the desert. "The Jimmy" was supposed to have jalapenos on it, but instead had 9 total slices on a XL pizza. It was overcooked (hence the dry comment) and was quite short on flavor. I'd use the word "cardboard" to describe the crust, in fact. The other pie was a basil, onion, and black olive. Kudos for LOADS of black olives and onions, but using dehydrated basil is just plain tacky. Seriously... spring for whole, fresh basil leaves and put them on, as the flavor will be MUCH better. Maybe I just got a bad pizza, but I'll definitely not be returning to this place as it was extremely underwhelming. read more

The food is good and very fresh and I am surprised at the negative reviews of this place, people talk about the food. I had the chicken club sandwich and the chocolate cherry cheesecake. Both were yum yum from my perspective. The prices are normal for when you're getting fresh food. I think people think about the 10 pizza hut pizza and forget that real fresh food cost and that's okay with me the prices are not over the top. Beautiful place to take the kids and family. Thin crust pizzas loaded with fresh and original topping combinations, excellent Greek salad, country music playing in the background, big screen TV with sports and friendly service...very nice! Be sure to ask for the manager's specials. They're usually offering a deep discount on a 2nd pizza. Molly's and Grace's Alfredo are two of our favorites but am looking forward to trying some of their sandwiches on our next visit, especially the gyro. I like Palio's. Ate at one in Flower Mound years ago so when this one opened up in Aubrey, I was excited. There is Dominos, etc. in the area but it's hard to beat Palio's pizza. The good thing about Palio's is not only the pizza, but their pasta dishes too. They were way better than the Italian place in the area. They have some great dessert here too... cheesecake, cannoli and tiramisu It's an order, grab a drink and sit down kind of place where they bring your food to your table. TVs are usually tuned to something sports related. Cons: It is kind of pricey and they don't offer coupons that I know of. I think the crust on the pizza is good, but could be a bit more crisp on the bottom. Since they cut their pizza in squares you end up with floppy pieces, especially the center pieces. read more

This is a great little restaurant to meet and eat with friends and family. There is a wide assortment of seating ranging from booths to hightop tables to a screened outdoor area. My family has never had to wait for seating. The food is always good and reasonably priced. My son loves their chicken Alfredo and the wife likes the chicken parmesan. I enjoy their salads which are numerous and have always been well prepared with fresh ingredients. For the kids, they serve ice cream and have a great selection for an after dinner treat. My only reason for making this a 3 and not a 5 star is the service. This, like the other Palios, has staff consisting of teens mostly. While friendly, the service is frequently spotty and inconsistent. I like the food, the price is decent and it is a very casual place to have a meal with family. read more

The restaurant never made our to go order for over 90 minutes and when I called and asked for resolution the solution was to cancel with no apologies. Highly disappointed. My family just moved here and we wanted to try a local place. We spent over $50 for delivery buying 2 spaghettis, 1 lg pizza and a "deep dish chocolate chip cookie" dessert. The pizza was by far the worst we've ever had. The crust is like an overcooked sponge. It was so hard, we couldn't even tear it apart, and it was hard to chew. The cookie was so burnt it looked more like a brownie, and was hard as a rock. The spaghetti was cooked right, but the meatballs were overcooked. We recommend you skip this place, and order from a big chain for better food and to save some money. Worst pizza we've ever had, and its our favorite food. Extremely disappointed. I LOVE the pizza from this place. I have them deliver way more than I care to admit. I always order the same thing (Extra-Large with double-cheese), and it's hit or miss as to whether or not the resulting pizza *actually* has extra cheese on it. Sometimes, it's just oozing extra cheese, and other times it's like my request for extra cheese went in one ear and out the other. That's the reason I'm giving them 4 stars and not 5. Half Mediterranean half bbq chicken. Crust was thin and not dough-y. The bbq chicken was the best of the two. Loved that the bacon on top was crunchy and not chewy. Wow! I have been living down the street from this place for 6 months and just got around to trying it and holy calzone was I missing out. Staff was great and friendly, price was very reasonable if not LOW and the dining area was spotless and well furnished. My wife and I had a "King" calzone and the little people ate a large sausage pizza taking advantage of the managers special. Both were amazing and we could taste and see the freshness of the ingredients. How in Gods name is Dominoes and Pizza Hut still in business around here? Certain places just can't figure it out. This would be the third failed attempt (months apart) at getting pizza delivered from the 380 Palios. I called at 7:40 given a 45-60 minute delivery time. I call back at 9:10 to check on it as it had almost been an hour and a half. I never once received a phone call from them and I am in their system (plus they have caller id. They give me some lame excuse about their credit card machine going down and their systems being down from 6-8 (mind you when I made the order there was no mention of a system being down and I was paying cash. If it was then they should have been able to look at caller I'd to call people back. I was then told they are closed and won't deliver but that she could give me a discount for next time.... why would I want to try a forth time from a place that doesn't have their stuff together. You should have offered more than a discount- just saying. The last time we ate in there the pizza was horrible- the margarita pizza tastes nothing like a margarita should. Won't be back! read more

I've been to several Palios in area ...Frisco , Plano , McKinney but this one off the beaten path and kinda in the middle of nowhere is the BEST , hands down !! Super clean , they always are so friendly , and accomadation my crazy food allergies . We just arrived thinking they were open until 11pm but instead they close at 10pm and the mgr insisted we could place an order. Well done ! One of my favorite places! I know all of their food is good but I am stuck on the Maria's BBQ pizza (add jalapeños)& my husband is stuck on the Tony's BBQ pizza! Amazing think crust gourmet pizzas. Great pizza. Have only ordered carry out and delivery so I can't speak to the service in the restaurant. Usually they're pretty quick for pick up orders. Delivery timing depends on the time of day.
