I went in for a Mani/Pedi last Saturday and left in tears! The manicurist and the pedicurist got into a full blown argument. The tension could be cut with a knife, it got so heated that she packed up her desk and basically quit, all the while I kept asking for someone to help me understand and finish up my partially finished mani, which took a few tries. Finally a nice manicurist came and said she'd finish me up after her client. Meanwhile the guy doing my pedi was getting a bit aggressive pinching my heels when trying to move the , so i asked the lady to tell him to stop that. I started to get an anxiety attack and started to cry because the other lady came back and apologized to me while also crying. I was finally done then asked if because of my bad experience if there was at least a discount ? The answer was NO, so I paid and did not tip! I got a pedicure here yesterday and overall, I really enjoyed coming to this salon. The only thing I found uncomfortable was being asked directly about tipping. When I mentioned I usually pay with Venmo after being asked "cash or card," I was immediately asked, "what about your tip?" I always tip and value the work that's done, but asking outright like that feels awkward and unnecessary. I thought this place was pretty good! Basic spa pedicure. Had an appointment for 11am on a Sunday - they were super busy but we didn't have to wait long. The only thing that was bothersome is - why give me the entire nail color palette and then NOT have that color I picked. She told me the color I picked was gel only - soooo wouldn't it be useful to let me know which colors are gel and which are not so then I can get the color I chose? I returned to Palladio Day Spa today after my last gel mani/pedi in July to get my nails done because I had an event tonight and I was excited to get a sparkly purple gel manicure as I was going out to see 'Prince: Sign O' The Times' with girlfriends at IMAX and I wanted to show love to the purple one. Anyway, I'm used to the technicians here asking if they can cut my nails but I didn't want them cut today because it's weird they always wanna cut my naturally long nails, a trait my brother and I inherited from my mom, when the industry thrives off of women needing acrylics and press on nails to achieve what I can grow naturally. I wanted to rock my natural as always, so I declined. The technician then says, "It's $40 extra if you keep the length". I wasn't happy about it, but whatever. Then the host brings his ass over talmbout, "Oh I'll need to check you out now." I stood up and told him, "That's okay, I'll just leave." Of course they thought they could try this bullshit with me and then backpedaled talmbout, "It's okay, you can just pay afterwards, it's okay." I said, "Nah, it's too late, I've been here plenty of times before and was never asked to pay ahead of time and this is on top of her telling me I have to pay $40 on top of what I'm already paying just because I don't want her to cut my nails? Nah, I'm leaving." I walked right past them and out the door. This is my second time here, the first time I came in to get an acrylic fill. Kim did a great job exactly how I wanted it, she didnt over file it from the cuticle so it doesn't look grown out. I paid $55 which seemed a bit pricey to me. Today I came in for a basic pedicure, it was $35 plus $10 for gel which came out to $50 with tip and it was super basic lol. I went in for a pedicure today & also got my first ever mani. The pedicure was great, but the guy that did my mani was really rough not very nice. I let him know it was my first time getting my nails done and I wasn't sure what exactly I wanted (dip, full set, or gel). I showed him a picture & let him do his thing. He was very rough the entire time and when he was using the electric nail file he cut my 4 of my cuticles & 2 of my fingers when he was filing the underneath. I let him know it was hurting me & he was being too rough I said OW multiple times & he saw me bleeding. He didn't apologize or even acknowledge me saying ow he just tried to brush the blood off. The only time he was nice to me was when he was asking if I wanted to leave a tip. For a first mani experience it was terrible. read more

I have never been more disappointed than I was today when I got my nails done. I came in to get an acrylic set. I was sat with a lady and she started applying the acrylic super chunky. When she was done applying my nails were super uneven. Some nails were thin some nails were super thick. Then she told me that someone else was going to finish my nails because she had an appointment. I was fine with that. The design I requested was a simple black French tip with a 3d pink flower. She tried to fix how uneven my nails were and I was grateful. But I was severely disappointed with how she did the French tip. It was nothing like how I wanted at all. She had to keep sanding down my nails to even them out, and by the time she was done my nails were short not long like they originally were. When I told her I wanted a 3d simple flower she said she couldn't do it and offered to put a gem on instead. There were hardly any gems to choose from. Overall 0/10 experience. i went to palladio day spa last wednesday to have my nails done for my son's wedding. they asked which service i wanted and i chose a gel nail manicure. my thumb nail began to chip and peel of saturday, the day of the wedding. i was disappointed, but since the polish was light it didn't look so bad. however, by monday 5 days later my nails and cuticles looked like i had been digging in a garden or scrubbing floors with a brillo pad. shameful! when i went back to show them my hands, they tried to tell me it was something i was doing wrong. i explained that i use gloves while doing dishes and cleaning and that i hadn't even done much of anything since i got my nails done for my son's wedding. they still tried to convince me that i did something. then after i refused to accept their excuses, they said gel nails are not good and do not hold up!!! they told me i should have gotten the dip!!! why sell a service that you deem inadequate?? why blame a customer for poor service??? they refused to refund me and offered to redo my nails. i will never trust a business that blames me for their poor service and sells a bad service! i had the rest of the gel mess removed and left palladio with no intention of ever returning. beware! read more

She listened to what I wanted in regard to length, shape, and color (she even took the time to add an additional layer to ensure I got the chocolate-y hue I wanted) . This mani has also lasted a full three weeks and is still going strong (I am tough on my nails and typically a dip mani only lasts two weeks on me, but so far no lifting at the cuticle line or cracks!) Pros: Conveniently located in a plaza. Building and devises seem to be reasonably new. They accept walk ins. Cons: The salon is busy. 10 staff talked together all at the same time. You would feel you are at a fresh market or something. Too loud and too inconsiderate staff. The gentleman who did my mani and pedi, was not careful with my body, and did not listen to me. He hurt my feet in many occasions. I should have left!!! The nail polish that I asked for and showed ( nude color), resulted in peachy color. He made a mess on my toes and I stopped him from putting nail polish on my hands. He first painted my toe nails with gel and after it dried he noticed it is uneven and started to shave only pieces of the gel and only did one layer of paint in those areas. Dude, here is not a car shop, it is beauty salon! Obviously, those nail polishes are chipped! Pictures are taken exactly one week later and are descriptive. I had hoped to return. I will not. You may recall we negotiated a $100.00 gift certificate that included a 1/2 hour massage, leg waxing, and a manicure. We specifically went over prohibiting upgrades and it appears there is only $20.00 left for her 1/2 hour massage. My wife said she didnt ask for additional services nor agreed when offered. This appears to be an ongoing issue for the nail service industry which is why I made it a point to talk about your specific services and our strict budget. The day my wife arrived for her appointment, she felt rushed, confused, and accommodating. Staff were taking walk-ins, in a fervor, that comprised her relaxing and enjoyable experience. She was placed in a "staging area" where a triage-style holding pattern was mitigated to handle the overload. While I understand one needs to maximize staff and the onset of unexpected business spikes, there should be a flexible schedule that can absorb the influx. In closing, we need to reschedule her massage and have the gift certificate corrected to cover a 1/2 hour massage. This is my first time at this nail salon location because my usual spot was closed for Easter. I only needed to get my acrylic nails removed. The lady that helped me at the salon was very soft spoken and nice. However.. getting my acrylic nails removed here was a horror. The typical acrylic nail removal process I'm used to at every other nail salons was an acetone soak, and then removal. The lady didn't soak my nails at all, she sat me down and then went to the back to grab her little tool box. I was surprised that the tool she decided to use to remove my set of acrylics was a single acrylic nail tip. She used her acrylic nail tip and began to wedge/slide that under my existing acrylics from the cuticle end to pry my acrylic nails out. I was uncomfortable with how she was doing it so I asked her if my nails needed an acetone soak first but she said the process will take too long, and that if I did I would've need to soak it for 30 minutes. So I decided to trust the process because she is suppose to be the professional here but eventually she accidentally ripped a third of my middle finger nail clean off along with the acrylic. It was painful, and she didn't apologize at all, just gave an awkward laugh and said that my middle finger nail was very thin (but somehow my other nails are still strong?). I tried mentioning the acetone soak again but she insisted on continuing to pry the rest of my acrylic nails off with the acrylic tip. I wanted to cry but I could tell she was trying to be more careful with the rest. She then asked me if I wanted a manicure but at this point I just wanted to go home. It made me regret coming into this nail salon and I probably won't come back here again. I feel bad making this review because despite what happened, the staff here are nice. The lady really did seem sweet and nice. I just don't agree with the method she chose to remove my acrylics and if this is the kind of shortcut they take here...who knows what other questionable shortcuts they use when they perform other services. The method was painful and the process made me feel like if I wanted to remove it this way, I could've just done it myself at home but I wanted to rely on a professional. If you are looking to get your acrylic nails removed, I highly recommend you all to look for another salon instead and be sure to ask what method they use for acrylic nail removal because after this removal experience I definitely will. read more
