I was in the mood for an açaí bowl one day, so a friend and I decided to swing by before going on with the rest of our day. We arrived at 12pm on a Sunday. It was busy but our wait-time was still under 10 minutes. They have your standard açaí and pitaya bowls but what really caught my eye was the Matcha-Chia. They offer 2 sizes, Regular (~$9) and Large (~$13). I went with the Regular Matcha-Chia Bowl (~$9). It's a matcha base with coconut chia pudding, blueberry, banana, sliced almonds, granola, raw honey, and bee pollen. Basically, it's bomb. First of all, I love the presentation of all their bowls. Secondly, the bowl was so refreshing and addicting. I couldn't stop eating it! I loved all the ingredients, especially the fresh blueberries and banana slices while complimented the crunch of the granola and almonds. My friend, who introduced me to my first açai bowl a couple of months ago, and I had this place on our bucket list and we finally got a chance to go. Despite being a rainy and cold day, we were able to enjoy the super refreshing bowls in the welcoming, bright, cute shop. With so many different bowls to choose from, I will definitely be back to try a different one each time. Food: Gatherer Bowl--$9 I finally decided on the Gatherer Bowl after staring at the menu for quite a while. This had an açai base made with cashew milk and was topped with strawberries, blueberries, goji berries, almond butter, bee pollen, sliced almonds, granola, and honey. The combination of toppings added lots of flavor and texture to the refreshing açai base. The bee pollen and almonds added crunch while the goji berries were a chewy delight. The drizzle of almond butter and honey made it all a sticky goodness while the fresh strawberries and blueberries were juicy and sweet. Tips: - If you think you will be coming more than once, make sure to grab one of their loyalty stamp cards up at the front and get it stamped every time you buy a bowl. You get a free bowl after buying 10! - The large bowl sizes are huge--basically two regular sized bowls in one. Get this if you want to eat half when you buy it, and the other half at a later time. Incredibly overpriced for the quantity that you get, but definitely the best and tastiest acai in Berkeley. They have several options for bowls, such as a PB bowl, superfood bowl, pitaya bowl, classic bowl, etc. They also offer toasts and coffee. A small bowl (12oz) will run you $10 and a larger bowl (16oz) is $13 - that is definitely the better deal but as someone who grew up paying $8 for 20oz of acai in Southern California, I can't help but feel ripped off. I got the small Hunter bowl, which was topped off with cocoa nibs and peanut butter. It was delicious - I savored every fresh bite. It took ten minutes to come out, but I attest that to the fact that bowls are made to order. Seating for ~15 people max. It's quiet and the employees are friendly. I ended up spending two hours here finishing a book and will be returning back to Palm for a great healthy-ish snack to accompany studying in the future! read more

I got the OG, the Palma (smaller size, which is still large @ $9). I am glad that their granola does not have nuts, as I have a nut allergy and most acai places use granola that has nuts in it. It is not near where I live, but I do stop by the Rockridge area, as my nail place and doctor are in the area often enough. Next time, I will have to try the Tamalpais, without the sliced almond though. Can't beat the price and I like that it is not overly sweet like some other places. read more

No joke took a 5 minute bus ride to go here one morning; it was far enough that I did not want to walk. I was that desperate for a tasty acai bowl lol. It's very bright inside and has the perfect lighting (and decor) for pictures. It's a pretty small spot, so seating is limited. I couldn't decide on a bowl because they all sounded so yummy. The cashier recommended the matcha chia bowl, so I went with that; this is the first time I've seen a matcha-based bowl (which I think is unique because I love matcha-flavored foods). The matcha base was refreshing and different from the traditional, sweet, fruity acai. I really liked the chia pudding (this new trend for acai bowls is not widely available, but I like to order it when I can!). The bowl was topped with blueberries, bananas, almonds, bee pollen, and granola. I would've liked there to be a little more fruit, though. All the flavors of the bowl went well together, and it was delicious! The regular is the perfect serving size for breakfast! The service was friendly and quick! All the regular bowls are $9 and the larges are $13 which is kind of pricey. They also serve avocado toast. I'll for sure come back when I have the time. read more

This place is so cute! I used to come here all the time as a freshman whenever i craved acai. I've tried most of their different bowls including the gatherer, the dragon bowl one, and the palmer. The bases are more on the sweet and icier side if you know what i mean. They pack in the base but i wish they balanced out the ratio between the base and toppings more. Some people like it with more base though this is just my preference! There isn't that much seating space but there's enough to sit down for a bit and a really cute backdrop to take your pictures.
