Do NOT go to this location!!! I normally go to the one in Tustin but I was pressed for time today so I went to one by my house. The lady checked me in with my usual tan. The booth was different however I usually do the two angle one and this was four but she didn't tell me this. That's not professional but that's not even the issue. The issue is that I came out with streaks all over myself and, even though I use the towel for my feet, you can see the bottom of my feet are completely dark. They were completely black when I came out. WTF!! I have a performance tomorrow on stage and I'm going to look like this?? When I came out to ask where the lady was who checked me in five minutes ago, a male employee said that she left... In the 30 seconds that I got the tan?? Are you serious? Horrible experience. all of the beds are dirty but especially the spray tan. Every time I got in or out of the booth it would stain my skin because they didn't wash the spray tans off from previous sessions, not to mention it ALWAYS streaked. The icing on the cake was when went to cancel my membership and they gave me the run around - giving me a phone number that said they would get back to me within 24 hours. 4 days later they finally returned my call only to tell me I could do the whole thing online. Unfortunately, by this time it had rolled into a new month and they charged me for it. Its Saturday 11:30. 3 waiting, beds no cleaned. One person working on a busy day again. It takes 15 minutes to process 1 person who wants to pay extra for 1 tan. Just like last Sunday. As I waited people are coming out of tanning beds complaining and I quote "this place is run like a joke". Perhaps the owner needs to have 1 person helping the front desk person. If you work normal hours, you cant tan after work on a Friday because they close at 5 on Saturday so you have to squeeze a tan in on a Sunday from 10-2 when its very busy. I've been a member at the 17th street location since I was 16 (it was still legal back then lol) and while sometimes the front staff can be less than welcoming/a bit stand offish- they're overall nice girls and it's a nice/clean facility. I did, however, have one AMAZING interaction with Hailee Milligan, who I believe is one of the higher up managers at the company. Long story short- they didn't tell me what their plan was in regards to my membership and continued to bill me (even though I obviously couldn't use the service because of the covid-19 closure). I hate being that "can I speak to the manager" type, but I admit I wrote a very stern email expressing my concerns, and within 12 hours Hailee responded promptly, professionally, and courteously. I am shocked to say that during a pandemic this place continued to charge my card. Not only that , when I was finally able to get in contact with them , a week before my next month would auto charge , I asked them to make sure I would at least not be charged again in the future. my local salon was still closed for pandemic . They told me they couldn't cancel it and that I in fact would be charged again. Refusing to refund was one thing but refusing to not charge me again a week in the future after I told them I cannot afford due to Covid is truly heartless and on another level of human disconnect. This place sucks. Get here at 130 pm. The OWNER of this corporation has decided new covid hours are till 2 pm. He also closed the 19th street location permanently and the harbor location the mystic tan has been broke 2 days . Needless to say at 130 we have five women standing outside to be spray tanned . It's now 2:15. The tans are getting lighter and lighter. They either have changed products or there diluting the solution. I wouldn't bother getting a membership here. For 39.99 a month the "free tan" you get no color at all. If you spend 26.00 you'll get a barely noticeable tan. Poor management to say the least. read more

If it was possible to give zero stars I would. This location of Palm Beach tan is an absolute joke. I love to spray tan before any event, trip, or even just the weekend and the quality and price for the unlimited spray package is great, which is why I keep coming back. With that said, AVOID THIS PARTICULAR LOCATION AT ALL COSTS! Every single employee that works at the 17th street location is absolutely incompetent. Actually, incompetent would be an compliment to these women. They can't even put together sentences. Every single time I have been there, I have to wait at least 5 min to even be acknowledged, the girls get extremely overwhelmed and visibly stressed/annoyed over the small amount of responsibilities they have (I know there's little to do because I worked at a tanning salon). They are not welcoming, are very rude and short in conversation, are texting, and overall extremely unprofessional. They have no clue how to properly ring anyone up, run credit cards or enter new members - they always have to ask someone else or call the manager for help. The tans were good, so I have never complained until today, when I reached the tipping point. I'm leaving on vacation and need a spray tan so when I went to the store at the opening time of 9 am, I expected to avoid the crowds and be in and out. WRONG. The doors were locked and no one was there so I decided to wait a couple minutes because things happen and people are late. After about 15 min I decided to run an errand and come back. 9:30 am and still no one there. I left and came back for a final time and when I arrived, 4 other customers were outside waiting and told me I couldn't go inside because the girl who was scheduled to open just arrived and couldn't figure out how to turn off the alarm.... at the point it was 9:50 am I was supposed to leave for my trip at 9:30. This is unacceptable for any business established. This woman should be fired. I left and went to the location on 19th and had such an incredible experience with an associate named Morgan. She is amazing and I will NEVER go to the 17th location again. In my opinion, it should either be shut down or get an entirely new staff. I have been going to PBT for 10+ years mostly in Ladera Ranch but recently moved to NPB. I had been pretty happy with the company overall, especially Ladera, until today. I received a random voice mail at 18:35 hours from a district manager "Celeste", stating they have footage of me taking lotion on March 11th... I'm thinking, what the heck is she talking about. She concluded by saying that if I don't call back by 7pm, they are going to turn over the footage to the police, so she's giving me 20min to respond but then states " Call us back when you get a chance". Geez, this incompetent manager is all over the place. So let's brake down this accusation of theft. I went in to tan, I asked the girl behind the counter if I could smell the hemp lotion & decided to purchase it. We had friendly conversation as she mixed the mystic solution & rang me up for everything. She then pulled out a new bottle of the hemp from underneath the counter, thinking she was giving me a fresh one, I handed the existing one back to her, ( I'm sure this execution is on film too but no mention of that in the manager's threatening phone call). The girl replied "oh that one is yours, this is the replacement one for the shelf." she rang me up, walked me back to the booth with my lotion I had purchased in hand, I tanned & walk out. There was also a male employee present when I bought the lotion. So not only do I have a witness, but how the lobby is situated, the costumer stands at a lower level than the employees on the other side of the register, not to mention the Hemp lotion is on the back wall on the very top shelf. It is physically impossible to even get to it from where I was. I also find it funny that they called five days after the supposed incident. I've spent 30 years in public service as a fire captain & paramedic, Married to a Police Lieutenant. We both take great pride in our jobs & helping the public so to be accused of theft is far beyond anything I can imagine & goes against everything I stand for. If I didn't pay for it then she failed to charge me, in the midst of conversation I didn't pay much attention to the total as I've trusted the employees who have worked there over the years, kinda like a small town bond built with local businesses over the years. A phone call stating, "hey we accidentally forgot to charge you for the lotion" would have been perfectly understandable, I would ( & will) gladly square up if that is the case but to call a loyal costumer accuse them of theft then threaten to take it to the police., you better be damn sure of what your talking about. Perhaps taking ownership that your employee failed to charge me might be a more appropriate approach. As far as Celeste's management style, I certainly hope PBT reconsiders her position as she is not fit to manage & could land them in a civil suit. This is by far the WORST tanning salon I have ever been to. For starters, I felt like I was overly pressured to buy their very expensive tanning lotion when I signed up. It felt like a used car sale. I explained to the guy that I have my own lotion and I'm very allergic to things. He swore up and down that no one has ever come back with a reaction and it would be fine. Low and behold I break out in hives and had to get prescribed prednisone. However, I will not get a credit back on my card, they never refund people money and I will get a credit to buy more lotion. Well I have contact dermatitis and am not about to keep trying more lotions just to use up this expensive credit. So I then have to call my Dermatologist and get her to write me a letter stating that she does not want me using any of their lotion. Finally the district manager calls me after this whole drama and tells me she will refund me and does not need the letter from my doctor. So I continue to come in there, using my own lotion, and wanting to tan in the bed I signed up for, "the diamond bed" only to find out that the diamond bed is the same bed that been there for the last 10 years or so and has the same wattage as the basic beds at my old tanning salon. So great, I spend all this money for the BEST tanning bed and now I have to tan in their best bed which has the wattage of the basic bed at my old salon. Oh but wait, they are getting the new diamond bed. Well apparently there were some complications with the install and it's going to be two more weeks. So for most of the month I had to tan in a crappy ass "diamond bed" and that was "if" it was even available and if not, then I had to drop down to an even lower bed. Sometimes I would wait for 30 minute with multiple other patrons that had the same complaints as I did. One time I came in and an incompetent employee sets me up in the "new diamond bed" only to find out the lights are having a glitch in the bed. After undressing and trying to have her restart it 5 different times, finally it works but I didn't get to tan the full amount of time because she said she didn't know how to restart the time. Each time she would restart it, it would take time off of my tan time. Great!!! Another time, I was waking out and they had boxes of new inventory laying in the walk way and I tripped over it as I was walking out. Update 2: Now my most recent issue. I canceled my auto membership back in August. I go and look on my statement and there's two charges for the monthly membership and it was never canceled. I spoke with a manager, Ali I believe her name was and she claims I never canceled my membership and they are not going to refund me the two months I was charged and never came in. I asked Ali to have the DM call me, it has now been two weeks and no return phone call. This place is an absolute scam. Horrible customer service, liars and thieves. I will be calling my American Express to dispute the charge. Update #3 It is now December. I have now been charged 3 times and they are trying to charge me for a 4th time after I canceled my membership back in August. It is absolutely mind blowing to me that they have zero record of me canceling and are STILL trying to charge me. I've disputed the charge with American Express AGAIN. read more

Wanted to try the spray tan out. Went in I was told the prices,around 30 bucks for one session,which then became close to 70 bucks, because they had to add some type of bronzer???? Kelsey is so sweet. I had forgotten my lotion at home and she literally let me pick which of her own personal ones I could use. I would have purchased a smaller sample, but they didn't have any for sale apparently.. Which was kind of odd. Beds are always clean.
