5-Star Review Date of Visit: July 12, 2025 I've been a loyal customer of Palm Beach Tan for over 15 years, and while I've had one bad experience in the past with an individual employee, I knew that wasn't a reflection of the brand I've come to love and trust. But YESTERDAY? These two incredible girls totally blew me away! In all my years, I've never been offered a robe for mixed tanning--such a thoughtful touch! On top of that, they gave me a carry bag for my new lotion (which I got 30% off!), and even threw in 2 red light therapy sessions that I absolutely LOVED. Their professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail reminded me exactly why I've stayed loyal for so long. I got super ripped off by this place. I signed up for once monthly spray tans for $15/month. I hadn't used more than one spray tan over 6 months and of course all the remaining ones that I paid for expired. So I went there the other day out of desperation (I was short on time and my usual place wasn't close to where I was). They tell me that I missed a month's payment (my debit card had expired a few months back) so they charged me for that month. Then I had to pay extra for a combination of two bronzers, extra for the rapid tan solution and extra for the primer. All in all, I spent about $60 in addition to the $15 monthly over 6+ months that I got nothing out of. Also, they use their own brand for spray tan booths and they're awful! The color is so uneven. PBT used to be great but their corporate greed is officially out of control. And the quality is AWFUL when it comes to spray tan services. I usually frequent one of their competitors. That competitor uses Versa Pro spray tan machines, which are so much more effective and way cheaper! I only spend about $70 monthly for unlimited spray tans and also get the use of sauna pods and red light therapy at no additional cost. Do not go here if you are big on spray tans. It's the biggest rip off. Needless to say, I cancelled my membership. read more

I have not tanned in many years. I was nervous. Sandy was more than helpful. I let her know what I was looking for and she set me up with exactly what I wanted. She didn't try to oversell me. It was obvious that she was just there to make my experience great. She definitely succeeded. I got to meet Rylee after my first tan and she was just as sweet and helpful as Sandy. If you haven't tanned in a while or your new to tanning, I give this place 100%. These girls are great. read more

the young woman working here with dark brown hair was one of the rudest employee interactions i have ever experienced. We understand their is a long wait around valentine's day, but she repeatedly said jesus under her breath when customers walked in. Our friend didn't have an account and she was incredibly rude saying how much of a "long ass process" it was to sign up her up. We felt like an inconvenience as we checked in. I have always had great experiences with the workers here and come a few times a week. Really hoping she isn't working next time I come in. read more

It's 5:15 on a Monday and there's one person working the front desk. There is a line of over 10 people who are waiting to tan and no beds are clean. Unacceptable. Get your act together and learn how to write a schedule. read more

This location is WAY friendlier than the other one I occasionally go to near Hulen Mall. The staff is very friendly and even told me things about my plan that I didn't know (there are better beds included in my plan but they have never been offered to me). I discovered that it's not really that far when going home from the gym, so I started going here more often. I love that they have late hours, so I don't have to rush my workout just to get in to tan after the gym. It also looks a lot cleaner than the other location. read more

I think it's safe to say that everyone on this staff is extremely rude and snobby. Not only are the girls rude there, but the guy that work there are also. This has got to be one of THE WORST EXPIERENCES I have ever had at a buisness in my life. The guy that works there was WAY too pushy about me getting a different package than I already wanted to purchase. I probably told him no about seven times before he stopped. Then I let my bracelet in the room where I was tanning and he REFUSED to let me walk back there and go get it. Is this their way of keeping customers? Or is it just their way of getting expensive jewelery in his case( for the girlfriend he probably doesnt have). I ended up disregarding what rude remarks this man or should I say, ''child'' had to say and going back there to get it myself, I don't care if its company policy (so he said), my bracelet was three rooms away from the front. For Gods sake, you work at a TANNING SALON I really dont think its necessary to attempt to run the salon as if it were a boot camp. A male working at a tanning salon... and he's RUDE??? Not to mention the other two girls standing behind him as if they were his muscle while him and I were literally arguring about if I could go back and get my bracelet or not. I came here for a wonderful experience and to get a beautiful summer tan, I absolutely did NOT come here to be face to face challenged by three college kids on a power trip who work at a tanning salon. Shame on this company. I also called the manager and she didn't even seem to care! I will not be going to this Palm Beach ever again. If you like this company (which I still some what do) save yourself some drama and go to the one on 7th street, the girls there are sweet and very helpful!!! read more

Great experience! The manager, Summer, was fantastic and so helpful. Although she is the manager her first priority was not sales and commission, it was customer service. She listened to my wants and offered her advice and help. I've been to many Palm Beach Tanning salons where the girls have made me uncomfortable for not purchasing all the lotions that you "need" to tan. The salon was also very clean and I didn't have to wait whatsoever on a Saturday morning. Great customer service, terrific employees! read more

The new staff, which apparently took over recently, loves to use high pressure lotion sales tactics on everyone. Not only is this irritating, it prolongs your wait time for a bed. They don't take NO for an answer. They'll look up your account information and tell you that you MUST buy lotion. For many, many years it was possible to lay in a tanning bed and get a tan. But not anymore! Now, according to Palm Beach Tan, you have to use their stupid high priced lotion or you are waisting your time tanning. The staff is so nice and always so helpful whenever I have any questions! I love the hours that Palm Beach has, so I can tan after work. The salon and beds are always clean and presentable. I really like the atmosphere the girls give here. read more

The spray tan is quick and amazing, at my age I'm concerned about using the beds because the last thing I need are more age spots! Since I hate wearing hose, I'm getting a spray tan (again) for my trip to Beverly Hills to hide those pesky veins and my awful winter skin. I have been a member here since 2007. I have never seen worse service than the girl Caelyn who works up front. I have stopped my payment of $83/mo because I no longer need that package and don't want to tan my skin anymore. I go in two months later to by a single tan and she refuses to sell me the tan because I was still a "member." I told her I have not been a member for two months and the draft no longer comes out of my account. She still had my debit card on file and once I left, my account all of sudden was debited for the $83.95 again. I called her and she had poor customer service over the phone as well and told me again that I was a member even though I have not had a debit withdraw in two months. Not impressed! Their spray tan made my skin orange and was never cleaned. You are suppose to step in a dry booth and it was never dry. I do not recommend this particular Palm Beach to anyone. read more
