I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with my long-term experience at Palm Beach Tan. I have been a loyal customer for many years, but recently I feel misled, overcharged, and ignored by management. One of the first things I have noticed over time is the extremely high employee turnover. Every time I visit, there seems to be an entirely new staff. This is concerning and does not reflect a stable or well-managed location. Originally, I had a basic membership. A previous manager strongly encouraged me to upgrade so I could utilize the Versa spray tan. I agreed and upgraded my membership, only to later realize that the basic Versa color included made little to no difference in my results. Despite paying more monthly, the spray tan was ineffective unless I paid extra for higher-level colors. I then purchased an additional upgrade for higher Versa colors during a three-month promotion. However, earlier this week, I was informed that my current membership no longer includes Versa at all. I was told I would now need to upgrade again--this time to a membership costing over $100 per month--just to continue using Versa spray tan. This feels like a complete bait-and-switch and a rip-off, especially given how often my membership benefits seem to change after the fact. During my most recent visit, I was assisted by Trinity Davis. She was friendly, professional, and very helpful, and I want to make it clear that my issue is not with her. When I asked to speak with the manager, Trinity attempted to contact them, but the manager refused to speak with me. I then requested the corporate number and called the following day. Although I eventually received a call back, I am now unable to get anyone to answer or return my calls. I feel that management has made no effort to resolve my concerns and instead has actively avoided them. This is extremely disappointing for a company that expects long-term loyalty and significant monthly payments from its customers. I have been a customer for several years at PBT. I am really disappointed in Palm Beach Tan this past year. Their service has really gone downhill quickly! The staff in the salons is always spectacular - especially given the circumstances that they have been giving to work with this year. It seems that nearly every time that I come in to tan there is an issue with either the spray tanner or there is no lotion for the spray tanner or there is no electricity, or the beds are not working or there are no hairnets, or there are no paper towels, etc... I mean most of these things are simple and basic supplies necessary to the running of the business that should always be in stock. And yet customers are now having to bring in their own supplies because you never know now what will be out of stock that you need for a successful tanning session. And I cannot count how many times that I have had to drive from one salon to another because the tanning beds and spray machine on MacArthur is not working or out of supplies. And the workers are always so gracious and so apologetic. I feel terrible for them. They have to face the poor management above them. They truly deserve a huge raise!!! I am not related to nor do I personally know any of them. I just see how well they manage difficult situations that they are placed in. Maybe the management levels should switch-flip flop. Upper level management could learn much from the lower level management! The only time that staff ever had an issue was when PBT was having a hard time keeping any staff and every week there were new workers and they were all being trained - so it was a continuum of people constantly not knowing how things worked and getting things wrong and taking forever(!!) to tan!! It was crazy! Seriously! And no apologies from PBT. They just kept debiting my card in full tho offering much less than what they originally offered on signing up. I came in about a week before my wedding and had not been to a tanning salon in over 5 years. Wow, how much technology has changed! Courtney educated me on the different options, and I went with the Diamond package. It offered exactly what I needed, and I have been tanning in their highest quality bed. To be clear, I had gone in six times before my wedding, and the bed was so effective that my tan lasted nearly three weeks after my wedding was over. I finally went back a few days ago, and they had wondered if I was going to come back in! Needless to say, they were very welcoming. I want to thank Courtney and Shannon for their outstanding service, knowledge of products and pricing, professionalism, and energetic vibe! Even if they are not in the front when I walk through the door, they immediately acknowledge that someone has entered and let me know they will be right there. And they are always working! They make you feel like family when you walk in the door. I hope there is a Palm Beach Tan in Virginia when I move because I will miss the beautiful bronze their beds have given me. I was just visiting orange county from San Francisco for a huge work event that I had to look good for. This salon definitely helped me out so much and exceeded the results that I was looking for! The girls, Lexi and Haley put me in the "Matrix" sun bed then we did a mystic tan with a Caribbean kit and WOW I got amazing results! I actually couldn't believe that just one bed tan and one spray tan could get me as dark and beautiful as it did. This is for sure not like the mom and pop salons that I am used to. If I lived in the area I would have taken advantage of their very affordable membership. I felt so confident for my work event. I used to tan here a while ago but then went to a Palm Beach tan in a different area. I recently was in the area and decided to stop in to this location just to check it out again and was pleasantly surprised! It has really come a long way. It is so clean and the employees were really friendly. I was actually running low on my tanning lotion so Lexi helped suggest a new one for me that is actually a world of a difference better than the walmart one that I had been using before. I will never go back to using cheap products on my skin. My skin now feels way less dry and I am seeing way better results a lot quicker than I ever thought was possible. read more

This is definitely my favorite Palm Beach Tan location! I am obsessed with both the mystic kiss and the versa spa and will alternate between the two. The mystic kiss gives me such an even, customizable tan, and is so quick and easy to use! I also love the versa when I need to get my legs extra dark and the post moisturizer really helps lock in my color and keep my skin moisturized. Can't say enough good things about this place. One note for everyone when spray tanning, don't forget to get sticky feet, otherwise you're feet will be brown at the bottom. read more

This salon has really come a long way with the new management! It is so clean and I really love the matrix and kbl tanning beds. They also have both versa spa and the new mystic kiss which gives me the most even spray tan that I have ever had.
