The management here is poor. The head manager Orlando who lives here has 4 parking spots(they don't belong to him, he just does what he wants)while the tenets with 2-3 rooms have to share one. It is ridiculous, and just so you get an idea of how bad it is: there is a new assistant manager (under Orlando) every 1-2 months. I AM NOT exaggerating. If you have an emergency, water leak, broken toilet, GAS leak, they say please leave a message when they go home at five. We waited for new closet doors (when we moved in they were already broken) for 6 months. 8 months later, and we are still sharing one parking spot. Keep in mind, we requested a new one almost every month. The newest assistant manager is SO rude and unprofessional. When I asked about a new parking spot, after 8 months living here, she said she'll work on it because she has only been here for 3 weeks. I told her she didn't even know my name, what apartment I live in, what parking spot I am in so how was she going to fix it? And she responded"I wasn't done talking, you didn't let me talk." After the entire conversation, she STILL didn't take down any of my information. I 100% recommend you look elsewhere, especially considering you are paying for the pool/gyms amenities with them being closed. I understand due to COVID they can't open, but with CA opening up they should allow it with restrictions, or lower the cost. Oh ya, and after one year here they can raise your rent up. They will always raise your rent up. Deposit? Forget about it! Everyone I have spoke with has told me they have never gotten it back, or if they do it is a laughable amount. There is only 3 guest parking spots for two buildings. Keep in mind one building is 2 stories, the other is 3 stories. 3 parking spots. If you park in the "management spot" even after they close the office, or are not here on Sundays/holidays you will be towed. 3 guest parkings spots. read more

Tenants say the previous management company was great but since Quality Management took over things have got really bad; they are prompt to increase the rent while the quality of the apartments declines rapidly. Most repairs are not done by professionals, they are doing repairs on the pavement all the time forcing renters to move their cars out of the property or they will have them towed, in the summer there is people being loud and drinking in the pool and the courtyard until very late, when I came here I was told there is no dogs allowed but now there are so many dogs in the property that it seems like renters are in a competition to see who has the largest dog, if they pick up after their dogs it wouldn't be so bad but the problem is they don't; there is dog poop in a lot of areas that you have to be careful not to step on it; there is an area that stinks really bad where dogs pee and poop and owners leave the poop behind killing the plants, management and maintenance are walking all over the property and they are well aware of the problems but choose not to do anything about it. There is just too many problems with these apartments and they are not that affordable anymore that I honestly wouldn't recommend anybody to move here. read more

Moved in about a month ago and I LOVE IT HERE!!! The complex is very clean, safe and quiet. It also has a gated entrance, laundry on site and a small gym. Most of the people that live here are professionals so it's very quiet in the evenings. It's so quiet at night I can leave the windows open and not be disturbed by people or loud music. Amber and Jocelyn are very nice and helpful. Move in was a breeze and they even had a basket full of cleaning supplies and other goodies for us! Such a nice touch! I love living here! read more

I was contacted by the regional manager at Palm Central South and she is giving me a refund for the charges I had on the apartment cleaning and carpet spot cleaning. When you first move in everything is great and they are so helpful and kind. It's a bit loud but you can't fault kids for playing. Although, I could hear my upstairs neighbor pee in their toilet. If you're looking for a clean place this is a good apartment complex, although not so much for privacy. There is only one assigned parking spot. My fiancé and I both have cars. He unfortunately got his car broken into on the street so be careful. While Palm Central South Apartments south is a nice apartment complex the neighbors in the area can be sketchy. The management of the place was super attentive while I was living there. When it came time for us to move on though (went moved out of state) their tune changed drastically. I went from feeling valued to another person to pull money from. I settled all accounts so that wasn't the issue, it was more the feeling of becoming a number. Don't bother really cleaning the apartment before you leave. I steam cleaned the carpet three times and they still charged for it despite them telling me to do it myself so I can get my money back. They charge you anyway and you don't get your deposit back so don't put too much effort into it. Most people can expect to not get their deposit back in from most places. Since palm central south treated us so well while we were living there, I expected more from them as we were leaving. Don't assume! They really are just like every other place. read more

Update review! Because I am so pleased with palm central south! AMBER IS PHENOMENAL!!!! We have locked ourselves out of our apartment twice now, and both times she was QUICk to come to our rescue! Tonight we even were locked out at midnight & she answered and came to help us and our new baby!! I am so blessed that we live here and we have such a helpful apartment manager... most places would have you call a locksmith.. amber is friendly never made us feel like we bothered her and was very kind to help us! I've been living in here for 1 year and i love this place. When I moved in they had a basket full of house essential supplies, that's a nice thought! I have a 1 bedroom apartment and is very spacious, also is a month to month rental agreement! That's even better. The premises , parking and the pool are always kept clean, is a gated community and your building is also gated.Amber (manager) and the staff are very friendly and quick to resolve or answer any questions. Nice complex within walking distance of the Central/Magnolia intersection. The complex offers, studios, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, and 3 bedroom units. Central air is not available in the units but there is a wall unit. The interior of the rooms are dated but clean. Covered parking is available but not all spaces are covered. Secured gate entry was recently installed at the complex. The neighborhood is quiet and there is plenty of street parking. Common areas are clean as is the pool area. The complex is a pretty good value for the location. Entrance to the 91 freeway is about 1.5 miles away, the 60 is 5 minutes away and the 15 is about 15 minutes away. I am single mother, lived here for four years just me and my daughter and I just want to say how awesome my first apt experience was. If I needed something fixed there was never a delay. They would sometimes give me a complimentary call to see if I needed any assistance with anything. It was always extremely safe. The neighbors were always lovely. I cannot express enough how wonderful the management team here always was. My favorite was always the surprise breakfast treats me and my daughter received on our way to work/school, they even have resident appreciation day and we got delicious tacos! I moved out only because I bought my own home otherwise I would have been here for even longer. If you are looking for a safe, secure, clean, affordable apt to rent this is definitely it! read more

I have been living at Palm Central South for 6 months now. I will say that the only reason they aren't getting 5 stars from me is because it is very noisy here. No expectations of such prevalent noise levels were discussed upfront which was a bit irritating, but once I got used to the noise, it hasn't been so bad. I will say that if you are nice to your neighbors here, they will be nice to you. As for the children, kids will be kids. People need to remember that this is their home too and the only "backyard" or play space they have is outside. Trust me, I don't have children and am not used to such noise, but having a little humanity helps make it okay. Amber and Sheryl work in the leasing office and are extremely attentive, caring, and problem-solving. I requested that we should get a recycling bin added to the complex upon moving in and Amber said they were working on it... 2 weeks later, we had a recycling bin! These ladies do all they can to ensure the tenants are happy. Tony and Miguel Angel are the maintenance guys and they truly care about the tenants as well. They are always willing to help out with any problem that needs fixing. Plus, seeing them around makes me feel safe. All in all, I love living here. It's always spotless, there's always a smiling face, and the rent prices are unbelievably affordable. I get plenty of storage and my own parking space. The fitness and laundry rooms are always clean. Just keep in mine that this is an older complex, so you will occasionally hear your neighbors plumbing, along with some other noises. If you're okay with that, then this can be a nice place for you. read more

My husband and I have been at Palm Central for almost a year now. We first moved into a large one bedroom unit and just a month ago, upgraded to a newly remodeled two bedroom apartment. Amber is THEE best! With the news that our family of two was soon to become three, she quickly met our needs in finding a two bedroom unit asap. We absolutely love it here and we are so glad we got called in by Amber for an available unit a year ago. True story...My husband and I were in the middle of signing a leasing contract for another apartment complex, when I received a call from Amber about an open availability. We saw it as an answered prayer as we were hoping to originally move into Palm Central. From there on, our time here has been outstanding. Thank you Amber and the rest of the staff for your service, and for keeping Palm Central a safe, clean and friendly environment. My wife and I recently moved in a couple weeks ago, and so far we love the place. The environment is family friendly, and the tenants are courteous. The property is kept clean at all times and is gated for security. The manager and her assistant are very friendly people, which sets the​ tone and atmosphere of the apartment complex. But if you're listening to the TV too loud and they ask you to turn it down(which we very politely did) they can ask you to move out. But the little shit kids still run around making noise! Double standard? UPDATE: moved out two years ago, after living there for 3 years. The manager amber, didn't like that her husband has wondering eyes.... don't talk to him or she'll say "you've had two noise complaints so I think it's best you find somewhere else to live" AFTER 3 YEARS ONLY 2 NOISE COMPLAINTS.... she's just the worst person you could possibly meet, a double headed snake. read more

I've lived here for a few years now. I have watched staff change numerous times, in the leasing office. Things have gone from ok, bad, to worse. Theft is a huge problem here. Domestic issues, tenants screaming at each other, police called regularly, not to mention washers and dryers that do not work. Each floor has two washers, two dryers. 80% of the time..they do not work. It took them over a year to replace one of the washing machines on one of the floors. This is extremely frustrating because this is what we pay for. We pay for security here, at least that's what I thought. So, when main doors to the property ( which are supposed to be locked - and you need a code to get in), are propped open by tenants, it's annoying. This means anyone can wander in and have access to the property. Kids running around, screaming and yelling. That's a whole other issue. And this is at night. You absolutely get what you pay for, and this property is a prime example of that. If you cannot afford much, and don't mind the issues I've noted in my review, this might be for you. read more

My experience at this complex has been very good! The apartment complex is kept up nice, very clean. Most of the tenants keep to themselves and it's a pretty quiet complex. The location is great, right next to the 91 and down the street from the central plaza. Management has been awesome, they're quick to respond to any troubles you might be having, and they're really there to help. Parking is probably the only annoyance I can think of. The layout of the apartment is great too with lots of storage. Also these apartments are affordable. Would recommend to anyone. read more

We've lived here for almost 12 yrs. Amber the manager is very professional and really makes her residents feel welcomed. Unfortunately she leaving us later this week, but Lori will be taking over, and we do have the pleasure of knowing her. This complex is family friendly, and we know 95% of our neighbors by name. Tony is our maintenance man and he is just as wonderful as Amber. I can not say enough good things about this place, I guess that's why we've been here for 12 yrs. Great place to live. Like many multiple level complexes the noise of neighbors above you is problematic especially if the above neighbors doesn't care that they are above you. However, the staff is wonderful and prompt. If you guys read this (management) please consider removing some of the concrete jungle that is the complex and adding some kind of greenery or play area for kids. To start with I would give the staff a 5 star rating separately if possible. Having said that... The complex is very clean and seems well maintained. The buildings and parking lot are gated and well lit. There are bike racks and barbecues in the central open-spaces within the buildings. The barbecues are VERY clean which was nice to see because I will use them often. The staff was very friendly and helpful during the whole process. Brittany was particularly helpful and took the time to both find a parking spot that would accommodate my truck and walk the complex and show me all the facilities. I was very impressed with her professional and friendly manner. This was by far the best service I have had at any Riverside area apartment complex!! A good value for the price in a good location within a nice neighborhood. The buildings are older, but they are always working on improving things. Gated entry is also secure. I have been living at Palm Central South Apartments for almost 9 years. I have always thought they were pretty great, but under the new management they are even better. The security is good, especially with a gate around the whole community AND coded gate around each individual building. The maintenance here is on point. If I put in a work order they always take care of it within 24hrs and then they call me the next day to make sure I was satisfied with the job they did. All of the staff are very professional and friendly. Community interaction has really increased since the management changed. Amber is really great! I loved the egg-hunt that she planned for Easter! The rent and location are unbeatable, as well! 5-15 mins from the freeway, several grocery stores, movie theater, outdoor plaza, restaurants, downtown, and several good schools. Honestly, if you're looking to rent in Riverside, look no further. My only criticism is the parking. Resident parking is fine, but guest parking can get hairy sometimes. There are only 3 visitor spots and although there can be lots of street parking, depending on the time and day of the week that you are looking, sometimes you might have to have your guests park down the street and around the corner. Especially on street-sweeping days. But I also recognize that there's not much the ownership can do about it. Overall, this is a wonderful place to live! Highly recommended. :) read more

After 5 days the contacted me on Thursday and said there was one open apartment. I made a appointment for 1:30 the very next day. I drove over 1 hour to find a sign saying they would return at 1:40. A rude lady came finally at 1:50 to tell me she had no idea of my appointment and they had nothing available. She them made it sound like they have 50 appointments a day a said they can't possibly call and cancel all them. What lies. I've never seen a place ran si unprofessionaly. Stay away from this terrible place. They slap some new paint on and think they can treat everyone however they want. She lies she maybe had to cancel a few appointments but that 1 minutes phone call is less important than my pointless hour drive there. read more

My family and I have been living here for 2 and a half years and still going strong. We love it. The managers are attentive and quick to help if there is any problem. What we are grateful for the most is that there is an easy communication process, whether it's with Amber (the manager), or maintenance. It is more than just, "Okay, got it,' they actually go out of their way to make sure we are accommodated and satisfied with our stay.They really do care. Also, security was a big factor in moving to Palm Central South, we wanted somewhere that was private enough to not worry for our safety, yet welcoming enough when we wanted our friends and family over. Every neighbor I have met has been kind and courteous. And nothing is done, renovated, or updated out of the blue, there is always at least a two week notice if there will be anything changing, which is greatly appreciated. Palm Central South is an amazing community! My husband and I moved in to our large 1-bedroom in December and couldn't be happier. Our apartment has all the living essentials including a stove and dishwasher. The shared courtyard area is perfect for our needs. We grill our food often and could enjoy the beautiful SoCal evenings using the patio furniture that's provided. We make use of the gym as well, using the bicycles and treadmills when it's too cold to walk Mt. Rubidoux which isn't too far away! We love the location of our complex as it is walking distance to the Riverside Plaza. Most importantly, Palm Central South is very safe. We were greeted by security when we were moving in and often see site patrol making rounds to make sure we are safe. It's a gated area which makes us feel very secure. Our neighbors are all very kind and courteous. I could go on and on about how much I love living here! read more

I loved living here! There was a recent change in management, and as a resident I definitely noticed the change. They started planting plants, doing daily walk throughs and adding improvements to the apartments. I loved how management always keeps you in the loop either by a note taped to the door, email or a simple voicemail. Communication is important to me, and I feel they are doing a great job! For the most part the complex is quiet and neighbors keep to themselves. The only thing that the apartment is missing in reference to other apartments are patios/balconies and guest parking. There are three guest spots for the complex! This is definitely a headache at times but unfortunately that was something the person that built the complex didn't consider. The location is great, the price is fair, and the facility is kept very clean by the hardworking janitor, but the absolute incompetence of management has recently caused many families, including my wife and I to move out. To attempt to cover up their mistake in receiving my rent checks the managers have accused me of giving an invalid check, and on another occasion of not having sufficient funds to pay rent. Both of these accusations were completely false, and even after I proved it to them they did not accept responsibility, nor did they remove the fines that they had placed on my account. In addition to this, the other day I came home to find a notice on our door (and every door in the entire complex) threatening to throw away all bicycles that have a flat tire unless it is fixed within the next 48 hours. This was the final straw for us, and several of our neighbors. Please do yourself a favor and avoid ever having to deal with these idiotic managers. read more
