The server returned moments later admitting he "jumped the gun," bringing them out separately -- a small mistake, but reflective of a larger lack of care. The octopus salad was equally disappointing: the potatoes and beans were overcooked and mushy, and the octopus itself was rubbery. Upon first walking in, the ambiance is so warm and welcoming. It's a small quint restaurant with gorgeous decorations. THE BEST COCKTAILS IVE HAD EVER. The place is super cozy with amazing detailed interior design (the lights, candles, plants, wood themed furniture...). It has outside dining, inside dining and mini yard dining area too. When I first walked in I noticed the higher priced point. However the food + cocktails were SO worth it in my opinion. Pasta had ingredients that you'd see else where, but something about it made them SO good I couldn't stop gasping every bite. This place is beautiful! It has the cutest covered patio in the back decorated with fresh flowers. They are following covid precautions - temp check, contact tracing, tables 6 feet apart and plexi glass dividers. For cocktails, we ordered the mezcal and gin drinks which were both delicious. The gin drink reminded me of a pisco sour with the egg white. For dishes we ordered the eggplant appetizer (INVOLTINI DI MELANZANE), pappardelle alla bolognese and fettuccini ai funghi. All of them were delicious but my favorite was probably the pappardelle. The fettuccine was gluten free and it was my first time having gluten free pasta and I was surprised that I didn't hate it. You can probably get the same quality for a cheaper price elsewhere in the city but the decor and service were top notch here. Would recommend for a nice date spot or brunch with friends. read more

I came here with a friend on a Wednesday night and had the best time! I ordered the pappardelle with bolognese, it came out quick and the waiter grated fresh parm on top. It was AMAZING!! The restaurant is small but it has a very cozy and intimate vibe. I recommend having a reservation here as it's hard to get a walk in table. My friend originally made us an outdoor reservation but upon arrival the host was able to get us inside and was very nice about it! Let's start off with the service. The hostess was so energetic and sweet when she sat us down at our table. She also loved to talk about her dog, which made me laugh and happy. Our waitress was outstanding and made our experience amazing for the first time at Palma. My family and I were here for Thanksgiving day and we got their Thanksgiving special. The amount of food we received was incredible and everything tasted great. The calamari and gnocchi were my favorite items. The calamari wasn't overly fried and right the right amount of crispiness. It's kind of classic NYC restaurant. Sat at a tiny table in the front room and it was too loud to really hear what my friend sitting centimeters away from me was saying. The food is good but extremely over priced (especially for the super small portions), but you're paying half for the ambiance. The restaurant is adorably decorated and probably a good spot for a date (if it's quieter). I just prefer my restaurants more lowkey! The servers are really nice ( I think? I couldn't really hear them lol). Would recommend the Agnolotti agli Spinachi; would not recommend the Ravioli Cacio e Pepe. The Focaccia is just okay and only come with 3 small prices. We had a reservation for 2 after the dinner rush on a Sunday night. Palma had a lovely atmosphere, we were asked to wait for around 10-15 minutes upon arriving for our reservation. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks and then brought them to our table when they were ready. We got the artichoke appetizer and each got a pasta. Food overall was excellent, service was where they lose a star. It took 15 minutes to flag someone down, and then another 10 to even have our check delivered. Our dinner ended up being extended by like 40 minutes as a result. Other than that, was very cute, good for girly dinner, would come back, definitely pricey though. read more

We had a double stroller and the patio was closed for a wedding so even though the outdoor seating in the front was not being used they opened it so we could fit. Excellent customer service! As far as the food goes I have zero complaints. My brother's PAPPARDELLE ALLA BOLOGNESE was delicious but my FETTUCCINE AI FUNGHI was the star of the show. We sat inside, but I preferred that anyway being near the bar and seeing the kitchen close by. They had a great sommelier, and our server was fantastic. She seemed to be serving every table, so I'm assuming she is an owner or manager as well. We started with a cauliflower and salad special appetizer that were both excellent. Had the absolute pleasure of going to Palma Restaurant last night from the Ambience to the warm welcome from staff, to seeing one of the Great Chefs of NYC for the last 40 years. What a exquisite meal each bite was a trip to Italy. The flavors so true so well done I was in heaven. The appetizers were all eaten before we could take any pictures unfortunately, the melon & Prosciutto were perfect then the Chef sent out arancini made to perfection you could see & taste the sauce inside and the fresh ciliegina mozzarella taste was phenomenal. We wanted at least 10 more lol . Chef Angelo sent out a simple Spaghetti & Vongole that was made in Heaven , too perfection. No one talked until each dish was finished, then my son in law said that was absolutely delicious and believe me he's a tough customer. My husband was blown away as my daughter. The pasta was a perfect al'dente with the flavor of Summer of the Ocean. I will leave it at this scrumptious. The entrée was then brought out. The presentation was beautiful. The first bite was unbelievable delicate delicious chef Angelo did fish with cannellini beans from Italy and delicate little cherry tomatoes. Fantastic I make sure I cleanse my palate before trying each presentation to get the full effect of taste, and I was not disappointed . Next was the desert, all handmade and prepared by Chef Angelo a semi Fredo of almonds with fresh cherry sauce unbelievable not overpowering, not sugary, but the truth, flavor of almonds and cherries to perfection. Bravo Angelo, Don't even get me started on the tiramisu. It was phenomenal. Fresh, delicious, and a definite try.My family was so impressed by the quality of the food and blown away by the taste. Chef Angelo did not disappoint from the time we sat down until he accompanied us out to say Goodbye. This is a definite go to restaurant you will not be disappointed if you understand true Italian food the ambience is beautiful. Did I mention that they have private rooms where you could have parties in a setting like a house I'm telling you this is the place to go to . I asked what our waiter would recommend for a sweet wine and he brought 3 glasses out to try. Our waitress was so nice, she gave us the specials multiple times after we forgot and was so attentive. We sat in the back in what looks like a greenhouse type of setting. It was absolutely beautiful. It was covered in flowers, leaves and lights. I can't wait to go back in the summer when they open up the roof! The food was amazing. We ordered the Tagliere Misto which is basically a charcuterie board but Italian. Came with peppers, pickled veggies, fresh mozzarella, fresh focaccia, prosciutto and olives. Delicious. We also ordered the ravioli cacio e pepe, fettuccine al funghi and the parpadelle al rugu. The pastas were all amazing. My favorite was the ravioli but you really can't go wrong with any of them. I love ice cream, so the baked Alaska was definitely my favorite thing of the night.
