You have been warned…read more Triskell was hired by my land lord in La Mesa after water damage was found in my ceiling as I am a first floor tenant. The source of the leak was never truly determined and to bypass responsibility the land management team blamed the upstairs tenant. They subsequently called Triskell to assess and fix the situation. I had nothing to do with the source of the problem but it resulted in water leakage to my suite. The employees of Triskell strong-armed me into signing their legally drafted document. They told me that unless I signed their multi-page document in legal verbiage (which was not easy to understand) that day that they could not have access to my suite. The reps on site told me what came to something like, "don't worry about this, insurance will cover it". They pressured me to believe that without signing this or if I delayed to be able to look for a comparable company that any damage can and will get worse. I asked for a fee quote in case insurance refused coverage. The Triskell rep never provided one despite me asking twice for a quote. Foolishly, I signed their document after the scare tactics and that was a mistake. I found out from the upstairs tenant's insurance company that due to California law, I was unable to piggyback onto his claim. Triskell sent me a bill for over $2,000. This is exactly why I wanted a fee quote in the first place. Unless I was to open a claim of my own and be out my deductible and have this mark on my insurance record, I was then stuck with their $2,000 bill. They essentially had a free range to do what they wanted without any oversight or worry about the cost. I called the company afterwards, explaining the unfair practice and asking for at minimum a discount on the service provided for them to tell me...no! Ridiculous. Unethical business practices on their part. I really hope one day these people get what they are serving up.

From getting a quote, to them communicating with my insurance company, to having the actual restoration scheduled, the entire process with SCCR was a total headache. The team was extremely unresponsive and disorganized. When I did finally get a contract from them, there were added costs included that I did not ask for (I.e: painting). I sent a note back, asking for the item to be removed and requested an updated contract. This never occurred, yet the company sent someone out regardless! I contacted Drew to get clarity, and he ensured me a new contract would be sent and the work rescheduled the following week... None of which happened. Very unprofessional! I now have to restart the process with a new company; hopefully they are a little more organized and more responsive. This was a very poor experience.

Fortunately we had USAA Homeowners Insurance (they're the best to work with), which recommended SCCR, among others, to restore our home. We chose SCCR because they were local, and the initial conversations with them went well. The entire kitchen needed to be gutted, along with portions of the dining and family rooms. We selected a proposed rendering of the reconstruction that needed to done, and the work began. First, the mitigation crew came in and demolished the entire kitchen and portions of the other two rooms. Then, they removed or neutralized the resulting mold. Next came the reconstruction of the rooms, which included drywall and flooring. Then came the installation of the cabinets, slab countertops, and backsplashes. Beginning to end took almost five months, but the time was well spent, and the installation was top notch. They restored the functionality of the kitchen as quickly as they could. During this period, they (the owner and the crew coordinator) constantly communicated with us, never leaving us uninformed, and were always responsive to our concerns and questions. They finished everything, to the smallest detail, and earned their five stars by completely satisfying our expectations from beginning to end.

We had a water damage in our home and our plumber recommended this company. Started in our bathroom…read more, put new flooring down, and did a great job. We asked them to do repair the drywall because of damage. The drywall guy they used as a subcontractor was fabulous but the plumber asked them to wait for a few days to drywall our dining room to let the walls dry out and to see if there was any more leaks .... That's where the problem started. Because Salvador was in a hurry to finish the job they did the drywall right away and YES... there was a small leak. After drywalling on a Friday, on Monday I noticed a stain . Called Salvadore back to examine the damage, he said to call the plumber. The Plumber made a small cut in the drywall and realized it was damp so they tore it out . At that time Salvadore said he noticed there was some mold on the drywall and wouldn't touch it. ( after a few days, really!!!) I was furious. Thankfully, our plumber took care of the problem and hired another drywall person to come in and HIRED another drywall person to finish the job. This company seemed to have too many jobs that they were overwhelmed. His wife and two of his sons ( BTW are still in their teens) were doing the job. I personally would not hire Salvadore again but I do have to say his drywall subcontractor was fabulous.
