We don't live in the area, but were in town to drop our car off the Tint World shop nearby. We decided to find a donut shop for breakfast and Yelp helped us find Pam's. The shop was clean and neat, and the lady who helped us was very nice. They had some very cute character donuts to go along with the regular type donuts. It also looked like they had a pretty extensive food menu as well, but we just ordered donuts. They were delicious! We will be sure to come back, next time we are in Temecula. read more

Today I went in to get my daughter some birthday donuts. After ordering my donuts I asked for a pink box, since that's her favorite color, and told them that it's for my daughters birthday after making the request. He loaded the box and took it to the register. When it came time to pay, the cashier asked if it was my daughters birthday, and I replied "yes she is 6 today!" And at that moment he told me that the donuts were on the house. It was so sweet and generous, he added some "happy birthday" stickers and wished my daughter the best day. Was sitting in car waiting in line to drop off donation at Salvation Army and a lovely lady comes up asking if we would enjoy a free donut curtesy of Pam's Donuts. Of course our answer was yes yes. What is this magic combination? I mean, donuts and Chinese food is the best idea ever. I just thought it was only alive in my own head rumbling around with other foodie fantasies (Others may or may not include: Hungry Bear After Dark Breakfast: Delivered to my house in Del Mar, Puesto: Anywhere in North SD, Italian Food and Pie, Good Thai Food in North SD, Red Oven Pizza downstairs from my condo, etc) We rolled up before a wine tour actually just looking for a corner store to buy waters and saw the sign, did a double take, and screeched to a halt to check it out. It's exactly what it sounds like! A case of sugar overload with a Chinese Food Menu hanging above. It's was 10AM - it could have gone either way, or both ways, but I went donuts and bookmarked this for future Temecula take out adventures. The donuts were pretty good (Not great, the donut game is a hard knock life in SD with places like VGs and Nomad on the scene) One note on Pam's is that they take debit cards! So nice! The owners were totally sweet and helpful and welcoming. Of course they encouraged us to order more but this time all I could do was stare in awe as I ate the donuts holes I had bought. It's not fancy, kind of a hole in the wall - but the possibility of orange chicken AND a glazed donut live here so who cares? When I saw Chinese Food, I mean American Chinese food BTW - although some reviews report that they creating things off menu on occasion too. This place sucks...the donuts are icky and the Chinese food even sucks. They are rude, they look at you when walk in with a stare like they want to know why you are there interrupting them and their business that can only thrive with, well you know...customers. They do not say hi, thank you, and they don't seem to take pride in their food either. The old-fashioned glazed donut was so dry and crumbly it was sad, I mean the donut was personally sad so I still ate it to put it out of it's own misery. I also asked for a specific "cream stuffed" donut that I pointed to. She then goes to the other side of the donut counter and grabs one that looks like it, but it wasn't what I pointed to...this would make a child cry... on top of child crying it was stale, hard and had very little cream. I also got a ham a cheese croissant, it was not even good, lacking ham and cheese and part of it was missing, like a whole end of it...she didn't care. She threw it in the bag without asking if I wanted it heated up, I asked if she would please heat it up, she flashed me the look of death while her kids in there continued to sweep up the floors with what I'm sure is the broom she rode to rode work on. This lady nuked that bitch of a croissant so flippin' bad that when I got it out it was a rock hard nuclear chunk that came in meteor style from planet Mars, I'm pretty sure of this. Chinese Food - 3 stars Donut - 5 stars Came here for a late lunch ...probably arrived slightly after 1pm. As I expected, the steam table wasn't overflowing with choices. I ordered a two item, half rice, half noodles with Mushroom chicken and orange chicken. The rice was good, the noodles were okay. The orange chicken tasted like your standard orange chicken but the batter was soggy. The mushroom chicken had an odd gray cast to it...it tasted fine though and I didn't get sick eating it. For $5.99 you get the food and a medium drink. Skipping the drink, like I did, does not lower the price. Overall, I thought the food was okay. Nothing different from other Chinese food steam table type places. While I was here, I decided to get a donut for a late afternoon snack. I wasn't expecting a whole lot since it was after 1pm. But that donut tasted as fresh as if it was just made. It was soft and buttery...not dried up. If that donut tasted that good after hours of sitting in the display case, I can only imagine what it would be like freshly made. I will definitely be back for the donuts. I think I will relegate the Chinese food to those times when I'm in a hurry and don't want to stray too far from work. read more

Pitiful, yet when I'm low on money all I needs is some quarters ($1.50 for 2 maple bars) and I'm good to go. Speaking of maple bars...hot damn! I'll admit to being a bit quirky when I eat my treats such as candy bars and Hostess Cupcakes, and I'm the same with donuts. With maple bars I turn them over, eat the bottom cake goodness, then flip it over again and enjoy the maple topping. The maple bars at Pam's give me such joy it's sickening and the maple topping sends a jolt of sugary sweetness to my brain and taste buds it's better than any shot of caffeine. Even the day-old cake donuts make my mouth happy! I haven't considered any donuts quite as delish since my childhood haunt in Aurora Mall of Shoreline, WA. And the sprinkles...omg, the sprinkle donuts make me want to dance and kick my heals. They also sell Chinese food here during lunch time and it rocks my stripey socks off. This place is great. Friendly staff that are always happy and in a good mood. You can't help but leave in a good mood. They don't accept credit or debit cards, so be sure to have cash handy. There are several "Pam's Donuts" in Temecula. This is by far the best one. The owners are cheerful and friendly and NICE! Nothing against the others, but they tend to just want to fill your order and push you out. These owners seem to be friends with everyone (and after my 2nd time in with my twin toddlers - seems like we are part of the friend crowd now too!!). The donuts are fresh and don't have a funny after taste like some others (that don't change or filter their frying oil frequently). They have a good selection and my favorite is the Apple Fritter. It is a solid 4 star on the donuts but the staff push it a whole lot farther with their friendly service to a 5 star donut shop for Temecula. I used to enjoy the casual atmosphere and fair priced breakfast sandwiches (especially that egg and cheese croissant mmm), but I took my girlfriend here not too long ago ago and everything was fine until I noticed the expiration date on the drink she ordered from the fridge they have in the dining area. I can't say I want to go there again fearing I might get something else expired. The drink she ordered was one of those bottled Starbucks coffees, but it was months beyond the expiration date.
