I'd definitely recommend this place especially if you don't want to drive farther out to Orange County or La area . Glad we did. This time was different. Two dishes, the black bean ribs and the salt & pepper pork chops, turned out great. Not only did they have good flavor, both dishes were quite generous and meaty. And if we had stopped ordering right there, I wouldn't have had any reason to drop a star. It was the dim sum that almost ruined it. The siu mai (8 pcs) were small and oddly fishy tasting, lacking the traditional aromatics. One bite and I knew there was no way I would continue eating them. No reason to bring them home either. Was I willing to just throw away my $13? No. Disappointed, I bravely told the server, and then, the manager. I got a "deer in the headlights" response, followed with a "what's wrong with it" query. Awkward moment. But, minutes later, the server returned from the back kitchen, and the most miraculous, unexpected thing happened. She said they would take it off my bill! Honestly, I was not expecting any resolution. But in wisely doing this, they frankly rescued the situation and my attitude. I respected that one gracious gesture. So, while the siu mai will still never be anything I order here, there is a vast menu to explore, and a few dishes I already know will not let me down. Two of these were from our first time, the char siu baos and the shrimp with scrambled egg. These were good. That said, this is a decent business that proved they wanted my business. It took about 40 minutes just to get our drinks and have our order taken, and then another 50 minutes for the food to arrive. I politely asked several times when our food would be coming out. The restaurant was not very busy and there were several open tables, so I wasn't sure what the delay was. After waiting an additional 15 minutes, one dish came out, and a few minutes later the rest of the order arrived. Unfortunately, the server also brought the entrée I had clearly canceled when placing the order. I explained that I had canceled it, but she insisted that my mother had ordered it. I calmly told her that I was the only one who spoke and placed the order--my mother hadn't even asked for anything. She continued insisting that we keep the dish because it was already made. When I politely declined, she pointed at my mother and said she had ordered it. My mother responded that she hadn't even spoken. At that point, the server raised her voice and became aggressive, saying we had ordered it and had to keep it. Her attitude shifted completely from polite to confrontational. We remained calm and did not escalate the situation. Eventually, when she realized we weren't going to argue or cause a scene, she took the dish back and walked away. That reaction was completely uncalled for. Additionally, I observed something else that was concerning. A group of African Americans and Hispanic men came in, and there were about four tables open at the time. They were told they had to wait 40-50 minutes to be seated, while other guests who came in after them were seated right away. From what I witnessed, it felt discriminatory based on how they were dressed. That was very uncomfortable to see. At the end of the day, this is a business. We can't pick and choose who gets service. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect. This is my personal experience and observation. I won't take away from the fact that the food was delicious, but the customer service was awful and the delays were absurd. If a restaurant is busy and the food is this good, there should be enough staff scheduled to provide proper service. Because of the service experience, I will not be returning.

They work hard and serve up your food fast. I ordered the tofu and they make it fresh when I order it. They no longer have the sweet and sour tofu, but they can do orange tofu. They Orange tofu is great. I'm a huge fan of the thick noodles when it comes to the chow mein. So good! Ambiance was busy. It's always busy. You can place a to go order and pick it up.

They are pretty limited on plate combos where you sort of mix and match items to build your own plate so be prepared to order a few entrees if you want to try a few things.
