Pan Pan is a cute spot that is popular online and was packed on a Friday at 11:30am. I wish I would've read the previous reviews about the wait time because I didn't not think I'd be here for almost 1.5 hrs. Came with a party of four and luckily we were able to navigate the lines inside. When you come in be sure to ask which line is for ordering or pick up !! It can get so confusing because the space is so small. Otherwise, inside is decorated so nicely and would definitely make a cute spot to meet friends or have a date if it was less busy or even bigger ! The pastries offered were being stocked consistently and the service was positive. We ordered the Matcha Fresca con creama, double earl grey, and a strawberry matcha. The pastries we selected were a hit and everything we had tasted delicious. The only complaint was the sausages in the breads being too small for the price point but otherwise everything was delicious. The matcha we received was great as well.. but unfortunately it was not wait in line for an hr great. The early gray matcha I received was powdery and lacked a strong early gray flavor, for how long I waited I wish the matcha lived up to the hype. For the other people in my party, the matcha was perfect and they would definitely come back again. I would love to come back, but I don't feel the wait time is worth it. The food was good, the workers were nice, and the place itself is cute (just very small inside), but definitely not "four hours good." The only reason I waited that long was because I drove 30 minutes from Dallas and had been wanting to try this place since living in Indiana, but the line moved so painfully slow it felt like working a whole shift. Saw this place on TikTok and had to try! We went on a Saturday afternoon and the line was out the door. Parking was not too bad actually. We waited patiently and as we waited we watched the staff working so well. They were calm and kind and not any chaos that you could feel even if maybe they were busy or may have felt stressed. The lead was making sure his team was well taken care of. I could also see the owner helping and doing a great job. They sent an employee to offer water to people in line. I love that it is a self serve because I always love picking my own pastries! I got a banana pudding matcha even though I don't normally love banana, a jalapeño cheese bread, a matcha cookie, and despite not being a big fan of them normally, I got a concha (churro). Y'all when I tell you that concha was LITERALLY THE BEST concha I have ever had in my entire life, I ain't lying. It was I credibly soft and moist and perfectly sweetened. It was unbelievable and will be a thing in my dreams now the jalapeño bread with sausage was delicious and that matcha cookie was on point, it was so rich and decadent. This place is great!!!!! I heard so much about PanPan and didn't have high expectations because many matcha places don't make their matchas right. However, they have a variety of large cookies, conchas, savory breads, and etc. They also have shirts and pottery you can buy from. The employees are extremely nice, always greeting with a smile and enthusiasm. The drinks are pricy, but I wouldn't expect less from a small business with quality drinks. Omg I finally got a chance to try out this place after all the rave, and let me just say the matcha was so good! The shop is a little hidden, and is a little small in the inside, but the interior was so cute!! Parking might be a little of a struggle but theres extra spots across the street. The day I went the line was all the way to the door, and it was literally 30 minutes until close. Word is getting out about this place! It is little but mighty, with still enough space to enjoy a treat or coffee. They make a few items such as conchas, banana bread, cookies, kolaches, croissants... they all looked delicious. I opted for the salted buttered bread & the ham 'n cheese croissant made with salted buttered bread. Fluffy, pillowy... yaaaaas! They also offer some coffees/teas & have a small refrigerator next to the counter with additional items. The hospitality, the staff being so friendly, the immediately feeling welcomed in. But now the food and drinks.... 10000/10! Waited just over an hour to get in and get some conchas and more. I think it's a cute little shop with excellent customer service. Every staff member I interacted with was absolutely wonderful. They're really good at replenishing the shelves and making sure those still in line to pay have a chance to get new stock if it wasn't there when they came by. The decor of the place was very cute. Due to the long wait, they do have umbrellas available for customers to borrow to shade from the sun or rain (which is absolutely so thoughtful of them.) I love that business has been so great for them and I think it's well deserved, but some things that took me away from a 5-star review is just that it's not worth waiting 1+ hrs for. Yes, the pastries are good but they're not magical or to die for by any means. My ham and cheese roll had a singular slice of ham inside - not worth $5 in my opinion. I didn't quite enjoy my tres leches latte (personally I think it was too concentrated for a latte but that's just my preference), but my fiancé's strawberry lemonade matcha was good. They do have tables, but it's 4 tables with seating for 8-10 people. And then people are standing around waiting for their drinks so it feels awkward. I waited 15 mins for the drinks. Again, love their success, and I'm sure this wasn't something they thought would happen to their shop and they're doing the best to accommodate for the influx of customers, but two drinks alone cost me nearly $20, my ham and cheese roll had one slice of ham and cost me $5. Yes the long lines are very real. However, all of the baristas try their best to get the drinks done as fast as possible and they are extremely nice and welcoming. I also love the bread hair clips and apron fits. It's so cutesy. I love their Asian-Mexican flavor conchas. It's so unique and you can't get it elsewhere. I was genuinely excited to try the sticky rice matcha, but my experience was completely ruined by what I witnessed behind the counter. Before pouring the matcha into my drink, the staff member in a burgundy shirt sniffed the matcha in the pink bowl -- and then handed it to another staff member to sniff as well. This was done openly and casually, as if it were part of the preparation process. I found it extremely unhygienic and completely unacceptable. I recorded the incident after noticing she did this for several drinks, not just mine. If this is what happens in front of customers, I can't imagine what takes place behind the scenes. I strongly believe the health department should be made aware. Unfortunately, my entire order -- nearly $26 -- went straight into the trash. I couldn't bring myself to drink it after witnessing that.
