Came ten minutes before closing and then they still had so many options and everything was so fresh. We drove 30 mins to come here because we had a pan dulce craving in this rainy weather. It was worth the drive and the calories. So good! I recommend the concha and pan de elote.

We been looking for a pan ducle place since we moved out here to Riverside. Sometimes it's a hit and miss so yesterday we decided to wing it and try this place out. And so far we are not disappointed at all. Usually places like this close early but we got there around 7pm and they were bringing out some fresh pan. My dad and little sister approved. The people were nice and it was pretty packed when we went. And as we were leaving people were still parking and going in.

Best bread ever! We love it and we travel 24 mins to come all the time! It's a must! The bread is so good and worth the drive

Friendly staff I stopped by to get pan dulce for the office to share for the holidays. Great selection and bread was fresh. They boxed it up nice and all the bread finished I was worried there was to much. Everyone said it was do delicious.

So good!! Most fresh concha's I've ever had! So perfectly baked.

I've been on the hunt for a good fresh concha place for a while and this is definitely the one!! It's about 30 minutes from where I live but it's worth the drive every time. The concha was so fluffy and soft and the chocolate on top just looked and tasted perfect!! Best concha's ever I will definitely be coming back again and again

The reason for this review is because of the lack of comfort and welcoming in this establishment, I walked into pick up a cake that my mom ordered and the first thing once I walked in none of the ladies greeted me nor my wife. Secondly, I had asked that I'm picking up And they just gave us a dirty look for no reason once she charged me she brought out the cake and typically you would expect a cake to come in a box or something to cover the cake but no these lady simply just gave me the cake as is , I asked if there was a box or asked if they provided boxes and they all looked at each other and giggled and responded that is how all cakes Come mind you it was on a thin plate .ALSO $85 for a cheap cakes with paper not even edible decals just cheap paper all this for a quick buck .I drove 45+ minutes to come and pick up this cake for these ladies to be super unprofessional never order from here and I will never return again and I'll make sure that everybody in the area knows not to come buy any cake from here. Not even food 4 less or Vons is this unprofessional I was better off there

One of the three cases they have, this one's full of drinks like milk soda and sandwiches

Delicious bread, and great service in both English and Spanish, don't be shy to stop in. They also have champurrado, hot chocolate, and coffee for sale next to one of the bread cases. Bread is always fresh and they have a pretty good selection.

$15 is wayyyy too much for these items.

This bakery is good, however I was just charged $15 something for these six items. This seems way overpriced for what we got. I even questioned it, oh well won't be going here again.

This place is amazing. My husband goes on weekends to grab us some sweet bread and tamales. Go early for tamales. Sometimes they sell out.

I usually make it a habit to go to Pepe's Panaderia on Madison, but I was too early since it opens…read moreat seven so I went to Yvette's bakery instead. I had been there two times before, but couldn't remember why I stopped going well now I remember!I got two puercos and a tamale which was decent but nothing spectacular the ones at Cardenas taste better. I have attached a video of said Mexican bread that literally felt and tasted like it was made Thursday, it was SOOOOOOOOOO DRY it crumbled when I tore a piece off! This place is not cheap by any means so I expect FRESH items and that was not the case. Next time I will wait the additional hour and Go to Pepe's they open later but AT LEAST everything is fresh!

This is a small bakery that opens early, and was busy with a steady stream of customers, which I took as a sign that this place was good. Most were getting pastries and bread (which you help yourself to and place on a tray & pay at register), but some were also ordering tamales. They also serve smoothies! Ordered two and a half dozen tamales (18 cheese and a dozen pork) but when we got home realized that all the tamales looked alike; as none were marked or separated; and we were given chicken instead of pork. Once reheated, the tamales tasted amazing. We also got a dozen mini conchas at 70c each. Pretty affordable and tasty. The tamales were $35/dozen. Will be back again!

uncle fluffy... more like daddy fluf--…read more ...*ahem* my bad. Uncle Fluffy has been on my list for like a gajillion years not even joking. my mother is a cheesecake fanatic.... and also an almond mom. so japanese cheesecake is that woman's dream: lighter, less dense, and less sweet than american cheesecakes (the higher protein content from fluffed egg whites also means u could make ur fellow gymbro into "making up" the calories too) the regular cheesecake was yum and the texture was divine: basically if you imagined a fluffy soufflé pancake and cheesecake had a baby. it didn't wow me though, especially since i love things on the sweeter side and it definitely wasn't. for a tiny $11 dessert, it didn't taste like i was indulging in a dirty little sweet treat. so i'll stick w my dense caloric diabetic cheesecakes from the freezer isle at vons. BUT TO EACH THEIR OWN! my mom ATE THAT UNC UPPPPP. she ADORED the cheesecake. also service was quick and sweet. uncle fluffy def has daddy potential xoxo ;P

I've been trying to get to Isabella's Cupcakes for two years and today I finally made it!…read more The shop was bumping with energy, the aroma of baked goods was pouring out the front door and the staff were serving happiness. I was quickly greeted by a staff member with a joyful "Welcome! What can I get for you?" This was gonna be one of the toughest decisions... which cupcakes do I get?!?!?? I knew I couldn't take one of each, that would be crazy. There were just too many to choose from. I finally decided on the Strawberry Shortcake (for me!), a Carrot Cake, the Lemon Lemon and the Salted Chocolate Caramel. Now that I got the goods, the next step is to get home as quickly as possible so I can enjoy these delights!!! Worth the wait! I took a bite of the Lemon Lemon and the Strawberry Shortcake...devine! Frosting was perfect, flavors were on point and I loved the cake was perfectly moist. 500 stars!!!

While the presentation was appealing, the overall quality and flavor were underwhelming. The cake lacked the freshness and texture I would expect from a specialty bakery, and the frosting was overly sweet without much depth of flavor. The ingredients tasted more similar to commercially produced products than the premium, homemade quality that the shop's reputation suggests. That said, the customer service was excellent. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout my visit, which made for a positive experience despite my disappointment with the product itself. I understand that taste is subjective, and others may have a different experience. However, based on my visit, I did not find the cupcakes to live up to the high praise they receive. I appreciate the outstanding service and hope the quality of the cupcakes will better match the level of care shown by the staff in the future.

Fabulous and affordable option when you want a sandwich…read more Service can be hit or miss and the person taking orders can seem incompetent/inconsiderate of the time. Ambiance is not the best, as the interior of the restaurant can feel dated--the art does not help--and the booths that comprise the bulk of the seating is private (which I love) but always dirty. Despite the service and ambiance leaving something to be desired, the lunch is great option in the downtown area. I do no recommend the breakfast--the potatoes lack flavor and many items are better made at home, imo. My go-to lunch options Grilled Smokey without onions- a fancy grilled cheese w tomato Tomato soup pairs very well with the grilled cheese Grill Smokey with bacon- solid but sometimes I don't want bacon/meat Tuna melt- so good and I tend to not like celery Black bean soup- solid Upgrade to the pesto pasta salad OR the loaded potato salad Don't recommend the pastrami sandwich-the meat was lowkey gross Baked good/desserts Princess Cake- I'm royalty and this cake hits the right notes and spots Sticky buns- get it Cinnamon bun- get it Cookies (molasses)- yummy and good texture Bagels- great quality bagels to add to a meal Baked breads (when in stock)- love fresh bread and recommend the sourdough

Definitely 5 stars for the breakfast Atmosphere inside is very welcoming and cute nothing fancy just an old school feel which I like Customer service 5 stars for sure. Employees have been friendly each time and they bring out food to you on the patio. Unfortunately the location is increasingly a problem at least while sitting outside. Lots of homeless people around some on drugs and some unstable. Last time I was there a homeless man threw an orange at someone who was eating next to me for no reason at all.
