I'm usually hungry after eating at a breakfast diner because it's breakfast, isn't everyone starving when they wake up? I was particularly very freaking hungry this morning and we came to eat here. They were pretty busy, and as a group of five, we got seated quickly. We got our drinks right after ordering them which was nice.I was with four coffee lovers who drink coffee like a fish. Our waitress was attentive and kept coming around refilling everyone's coffee at various times. I ordered this veggie plate with scrambled eggs, but when the food came, the eggs were fried instead. I didn't say anything because, honestly, it looked so good. I was actually happy they brought me fried eggs instead and everyone else's food was correct and hot. It was a delicious plate of food, which was also very filling. I liked it and mostly liked the big windows that provided natural light to the whole place. read more

Breakfast Burrito $11.49 3 Scrambled eggs, fresh hashbrowns, bell peppers, diced ham and chorizo sausage rolled in a flour tortilla with melted pepper jack cheese. Served with a side of hashbrowns, our homemade salsa, and sour cream. Well, there sure weren't 3 eggs scrambled in it. The side of salsa and sour cream needs to be asked for. The bacon in the Bloody Mary definitely wasn't a good drink garnish. Totally dehydrated and broken in half. The coffee was good. The pancakes were good. The side order of bacon was definitely cooked, I mean dried out. The French Toast was pretty good. I'm glad I didn't order a fresh squeeze orange juice as are bill was already $68 before adding a tip. This was our fourth visit. Wow! What a complete and total embarrassment. Server lacked the attention span to remember anything. Asked if we wanted straws, wife said yes, I said no. Server comes back with waters and no straw in wife's water. While looking through menu noticed small stickers after some of the menu items but was unable to figure out what they were for. The favorites and veg thumbnail behind other items was easy to understand and menu clearly had legend explain at bottom of page. Server came back, asked us if we wanted straws, wife said yes and got straw. Server begins to take food orders and I ask what the little sticker with three * mean. She looked throughly confused and shocked and said "I don't know" and left it at that. No effort to find out or ask someone else who worked there what it meant. As she stood there thinking she decided to go with "oh those are items you can order with options". This after looking at the items again made no sense but what I was ordering didn't have that behind it anyways so we just ordered. We both ordered the same thing, sausage eggs Benedict with hash browns and added American cheese and fried onions to them. Server went and put the order in. Food came out in an acceptable timeframe. Server asked if we needed anything else and we politely asked for ketchup for the hash browns. Server disappeared after and we never saw her again. Cut into eggs Benedict and both our orders were completely overcooked inside. Part of the experience of eating Benedict's is seeing the yolk run out when you cut into them. These were not properly poached eggs and from the looks of the yolks I'd be willing to bet the poached eggs were made ahead of time which is done in many restaurants but they were improperly reheated which is pretty hard to mess up. We were both disappointed but came to the conclusion we didn't want to eat our meals. We were waiting for the server to return with ketchup so we could tell her but eventually had to go to the front and tell the manager that we needed to leave and couldn't wait for our food to be remade. No apologies from manager, didn't seem to care in the least. Was happy to write off our meal and let us walk out the door still hungry and disappointed. Server had zero common sense or concept of efficiency of motion while working the sections and straight up forgot our ketchup and never returned. With how expensive everything has become I felt compelled to write this review to hopefully prevent anyone from eating here who maybe is conflict averse and having to have an unsatisfying meal with terrible service because you don't want to feel like a jerk. We really felt like going out for breakfast this morning, so we went where we knew they had a lot of space to distance their tables. They do a great job of spacing it out in there. They had 3 hosts and lots of servers. However, we sat for almost 10 minutes before seeing anyone about drinks. We waited a LONG time for our food too. But the main issues I have with the Pancake Cafe now are the prices. For what you get, the prices are ridiculous. My 10-year-old ordered an orange juice, and when the bill came, it was a $6 OJ! I mean, seriously?! I know they make fresh OJ, but she is a child. Then we asked if it'd be possible to add chocolate chips, but the $3 up charge to add 6 chocolate chips is insane, on an already $10 meal. If you have more than 3 people in your family, I don't know how you could afford to take them here. I could've bought her a steak for what her meal and Oj cost ($19!). I think for our budget's sake, we will try somewhere else next time. read more

The mimosas were good, but given we ordered the make your own mimosa it isn't really hard to mess it up. Wait staff is overworked and understaffed. The worst thing about the experience Sunday morning was they got our pancake order wrong and within SECONDS came back with "fresh" blueberry pancakes. When my dad asked the manager (owner?) about it the guy said they pre-make the pancakes and keep them for what he says is "a shelf life of up to 2 days." Thought we would try this place, when ever we travel we try to find a place that is not a chain restaurant. The only redeeming quality was the bacon would have been a little better had the end not be burnt and the middle was under cooked. The rest of the food was at best boring. The biiscuit was flat and hard. The sausage gravy was terrible. The chicken tasted like it was from a freezer pack. They weren't even tenders more like chicken nuggets and they seemed like the kind you buy in the bag at Walmart. Bot sure about the hashbrowns, they were still little raw in had some weird grease flavor and were not crispy at all. One person in our party had the breakfast burrito and he said there was really no flavor to it. He had to dump half a bottle of hot sause to get it to have flavor and spice. Our daughter had the a sausage links with her meal amd they looked and tasted like they also came from Walmart freezer section. The sparkling wine in the mimosas was flat. There was no fizz to them at all. Are waitress was terrible took forever to get our drinks and our food the cook actually had to come out of the kitchen to get her from the table she was sitting at in order for her to go back and get her food and I had to get up and go ask for a another cup of coffee after mine ran out. Even the decor was bad. There is a picture on the wall that was naming coceye. The entire place just seemed like no one really cared. Plus one of the employees was sitting at a table eating food in-between helping people. Like really... To sum it up, bad, boring or undercooked food. I've been here twice. There will not be a third time. The first time was shortly after this location opened for business. The food was overpriced and the service was slow. The floors were sticky. The manager insisted that we take pictures of our plates and post them on social networks. The second time was just as disappointing. We were one table of the four tables seated in the restaurant. The initial service was good but the food took forever to come out. I ordered "homemade" corned beef hash and eggs. The only thing "home made" about it was that someone added additional salt to an already salty canned variety of Hormel hash! Again the food was overpriced and underwhelming. The floors were filthy. Whomever is doing their night cleaning should be replaced. I do not recommend this business to anyone. There much better breakfast spots in the Stoughton area, where they actually provide good breakfast at reasonable prices. read more

They have gluten free pancakes and I found them on the find me gluten free app. I ate there today and did not get sick so for me that 5/5. When I talked to the owner he said they clean the utensils before cooking. I cannot tell you the last time I had pancakes but they were awesome. read more

First of I would like to say that it was to expensive for the quality of the food. I had ordered a spicy chicken sandwich when it came it was not like the menu describe. It looked terrible the server forgot to ask me if I would like anything on it. I had believed that it came with all the things stated on the menu. I was very disappointed if you want a place to eat breakfast do not come here their are other places with better food and a better price. Also the place didn't look sanitary the walls where all beat up the tables where also all scattered. The steak was incredible also which surprised me for being a little cafe and the eggs were fluffy. A good experience today for Labor Day 2020, we caught a glimpse of a clean new Pancake Restaurant and decided to risk a try,...we got there a few minutes before the closing at 2pm on a Holiday CoVid 19 limited hours. The server was friendly, hostess was super nice and the best was yet to unfold for our dinning group. Even the owner came out to make sure our food and experience were top notch. It was an AMAZING restaurant that surprised me silly, I stopped in because I was passing by and barely saw it. After stepping inside the place, I noticed how new and clean and pleasant it was, then the Service was good with a very conscious young lady, named Kaytie and I even got the pleasure of meeting the Owner. Chatted up the hostess and talked about how we were looking forward to eating here as we ate at the one in Aurora. She was a bit defensive and we couldn't really understand why. she came back after two minutes and said has anyone taken your drink order? Once seated our server was the quick to get our order, which was a difficult decision because there were so many delicious choices on the menu. As previous one star reviews indicated the service here is abysmal. Thirty minutes after ordering, we still hadn't received our food although tables arriving after us had been served, finished eating and left. Forget about coffee refills as we didn't see our server again after taking our order and serving the first cup. Finally got up and left. The food took a long time to arrive, even though there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant. We won't be back. We tried to support this place because they are local and COVID has been pretty rough on small businesses. The last 4 times we've ordered online from them, it's been messed up, missing items completely. Every time we've called/returned to have it fixed. The first time the order was messed up, we had ordered the 3x5. It's 5 eggs, 5 pancakes, 5 sausages. We made no changes/edits/additions, just ordered the menu item the way it was listed. We got home before we realized we had no sausage in the entire $30-40 order. We called to tell them, they said they'd have it ready and waiting at the front for us to come back to get it. So we make the 10 minute drive back just to get the sausage...we get back home..they only gave us 4 sausages. Today, the fourth and final time, we ordered the $3 oatmeal, added blueberries for $1 and pecans for $1. Got all the way home and found they missed the additions completely and what we did receive was less than a 1/4 cup of cooked oatmeal slopped into a square styrofoam container. I drove the 10 minutes back to have it corrected and before I could specify I didn't want milk or cream because of a high cholesterol issue, the manager on duty took the container from me and went back to make me a new order. She came back with a slightly bigger portion with the nuts and fruit this time, but with the full fat milk in it. I took it and left, dropped it in the garbage and went to the grocery store to get what I wanted instead.
