This spot has such a great, local, homey feel--exactly what you want in a breakfast/lunch place…read more The customer service really stands out; they make you feel welcome the moment you walk in, like you're right at home. Everything from the dining area to the bathrooms and even the kitchen was noticeably clean, which I always appreciate. The menu has a wide variety of options at really reasonable prices, and I love that they offer weekly specials. Food-wise, everything we ordered was excellent. My son had the Cobb salad with added chicken, and the portion size was perfect for an athletic teen--very filling. I went with the steak and eggs with a side tortilla, and it did not disappoint. Make sure to order their salsa on the side--it's so good they honestly should bottle and sell it. We also tried a burger (which my son really enjoyed), plus a pecan waffle and a buttermilk pancake for the table. Both were outstanding, but that pecan waffle is something I'll definitely be ordering again. Overall, this is the kind of place you find yourself coming back to again and again. Safe to say--it's officially in our weekly rotation.

It opens at 6:00am. Country ambiance with lots of locals up early. KNIX Country Music in the background. Ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with fried potatoes and biscuit. Large portions, could not finish it. One of the best I have had! Service from Leslie was excellent, coffee cup was never empty. Definitely on my favorite list!

We had meatball wedding soup, chopped salad with Genoa salami and five tapas. Lovely presentation and scrumptious. Grows and sources local produce and some meats. Wine, beer and thin crust pizza. Indoor and so much outdoor dining spaces creating your own private convivial spot with your group. We did the olive 101 tour, which was real interesting. Tour covered the history growing, harvesting and pressing olives into extra virgin olive oil. This place is the only olive mill in Arizona - go figure! Tour included how to taste and sample olive oil. You can sample all the olives, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, pickled veggies and check out many cool gifts in the store. It's a home run in agru-tourism! It's a home run - grows olives without pesticides, focusing on caring for the soil. Does not use pesticides. Operation is solar powered, conserves water, and composts. Two thumbs up for the farm family and the operation that takes care of the hundreds of guests that show up each day. It was an enjoyable time to tour and eat lunch out.

Our specialty peach pizza was severely lacking in peaches and the balsamic peach reduction. It tasted mostly like a cheese pizza. 3. The live entertainment featured mellow hits from the 70's. It was not our vibe. 4. The prices are high - $23 for a 12" pizza. Despite these concerns, it was not all bad. We were appreciative of the military discount and enjoyed the gelato.

This is a handful of breakfast spots I frequent, for good reason…read more The food is wonderful and their bread and bacon is immaculate! I haven't mixed it up and tried much on the menu, but can imagine you can't go wrong as I've had friends and family confirm how much they enjoy the food here. I am a sucker for customer service and I absolutely cherish the staff! They remember me when I return, they're very friendly, accommodating and have very charismatic personalities. The open seating policy makes it a good flow as well and the ambience is very appealing. I am a lifer and hope you give it a try if you're in the area!

Our first time at this location...have been to the downtown location several times over the years…read more As we walked in, we were told to find our own seats. After looking around (they weren't busy at this moment), we choose a table closer over to the kitchen and their view window. I always love sitting near the chef's watching them prep and cook. They have a daily special and today was my favorite, eggs benedict. I actually waivered back and forth between this and their pork chop and eggs but ultimately went with the server choice of the benedict. You don't get a dedicated server, they are roaming and everything is there to help and support you, keep drinks coming, serving, etc. Wife choose The Hog & Chick, their version of a basic eggs/bacon or sausage, and toast breakfast. She didn't specify which potatoes and it came with your classic shredded hash browns which was cooked well, crispy on the outside and tender and soft in the center. She asked for the sausage patties, which had a slight kick to them. The dish comes with a slice of their thick sourdough toast and that most delicious home-made strawberry jam. A wonderful, tasty dish! I want to get back to my breakfast...I specifically asked for the home fries and what a disappointment. Yes, I probably could have sent them back but didn't. My biggest issue...they were so, so greasy. I loved the caramelized onions and the bits of rosemary but overall, just way to greasy for me. I did like their hollandaise sauce, although it also needed more lemon flavor. I had the poached eggs and they were cooked to perfection. Ok and lastly, I just want to say that I was a bit concerned with some of the hygiene I witnessed while sitting and watching both the server's area and the chefs in the kitchen. Had an environmental specialist been present, there most likely would have been some writing up. Things like...new server enters space, places both of her cups on the counter, punches in, pulls her hair back into a ponytail, moves her cups off to the side and goes to work. No handwashing observed. In the kitchen I watched a couple of servers and chefs touch hair, face, pull up pants, etc. and continue to cut, chop, serve. Bare hands observed while prepping including a pulling up of pants, the push back of the side hairs and then reaching over, peeling and slicing a banana and putting the pieces bare-handed into a bowl for serving. When you are in the moment, these actions happen without realizing it but as a customer watching...not Kosher. I asked about their outdoor patio area...it's not pet friendly so wanted to share that.
