The last 3-4 times I have been here I've been pretty impressed. The service has been very good and timely and the food has been good too. It has the feel of an everyday ihop and they certainly do a good job with atmosphere, very welcoming. Pricing is reasonable too. Great place for a quick breakfast or brunch. read more

Had a large order and we were missing items when we got home. We ordered online and did a pickup which was easy enough. IHOP offered a credit to give them another try, so we did. Eggs (over medium) were still under cooked - egg white was runny, yuck. Pancakes were just ok, could have made better ones at home. I'm not sure if they changed something because IHOP pancakes used to be a favorite treat and these were just ok. Having lunch at this IHOP several times, I finally dropped for breakfast and it was amazing. Despite a nearly full house of customers, I and my brother were quickly seated and provided large mugs of coffee. Our cheerful wait staffer Jessica almost immediately took our order, which arrived within minutes. I enjoyed the classic French toast with strawberry syrup. The eggs were fried to perfection (over medium). My brother also ordered a side of sourdough toast which, when found to be hard to chew with his denture, was replaced with easier to chew white bread toast. Overall a pleasant experience. read more

When getting home I was surprised that the two chicken and waffle meals I ordered barely had any chicken. Used to get 3 strips, this time we got 4 smaller than nugget sized pieces of chicken. Came in for brunch. Sam was our server he was pleasant. When we sat down, there was a coffee pot on the table. We dont drink coffee and was surprised it was never removed. We are both in the restaurant industry and are all too aware in the rise in operational expenses However we were surprised at how expensive the food was and shocked @ 4.00 for a soft drink ?? My max expense is 75 cents to a dollar. (syrup,co2,dishwashing ect) When he came with the bill he sat it down next to my husband's empty glass and walked away (we were still eating) . I guess what upset me most and sent me here to review was when we handed him a 100$ bill to pay our less than 40$ tab he asked if we needed change ? We planned on leaving a 50% tip but went with 15%. My boyfriend and I have gone to this Ihop only twice, and we don't ever want to come again.The server, Jeremiah, that we had the first time, was also the same one that we ended up having the next time we went. Both experiences were bad. The first time we went it took long to get refills, our check, even though it was super empty. It seemed like everyone else was getting help but us. Then the second time we went, it took a long time to take our order and once we finally got our order taken, it had already been 10-15 minutes without a drink, mind you it is completely empty. This IHOP location was conveniently close to home and I can't believe I missed it time and time again. It's hidden away and not as visible as other store fronts; however, I am glad it's here! My neighbor and I were pleased that our food was piping hot and the presentation was lovely. The customer service was good and the ambiance was a little too loud for me, but hey, what can you expect when you're having a late breakfast and others are listening to blaring music on their cell phones while waiting for their meals. I-HOPPY HOUR is the only type of happy hour we partake of. ;) The kids love IHOP. They see it as a treat - especially when we are traveling. For the first time since we moved to Queen Creek/San Tan Valley area, we went to this local IHOP. It might be our last. Full-disclosure... The hostess Ashley, the manager, and the other young lady serving near our table were all busy and helpful. Their demeanor was pleasant and we enjoyed watching them interact with the customers. If we didn't have so many issues with our own server - I might have given this location two stars. Our server, however, wasn't suited for her role. She was (perhaps unknowingly,) condescending. My wife almost came unglued when the server gave our children stern direction at the table. Yes, they sat us all with full silverware - including the deadly dull butter knife. So when our youngest was yielding it - the server was inappropriately over-direct with our kid. Not cool...not cool. Then our server kept telling our youngest kids (4 & 6) to hold-on/be quiet when they were chattering away at the table while she was taking our orders. It wasn't super busy in there. The parking lot was full, but that's only because it was food-truck Friday 200 yards from there in an empty lot. How many parents enjoy servers doling out discipline to their kids?! I'm guessing none - especially when it's not even appropriate. Our children were so excited to be out of the house. The weather here is blistering hot and they don't get out a lot. They were excited to be at one of their favorite restaurants. I sincerely doubt IHOP is training their servers to discipline kids at their tables. A few other things about this location. It's small. There is an odd/musty smell to it which smells like water you wouldn't want to drink? But that may be due to the sanitizing fluids they use to clean tables/chairs between customers. The location should try to do something to neutralize that if possible. If not - it's still not a deal killer. Five of the chairs at our table ALL rocked! Haha. Im not kidding. The whole meal we were all rocking as we ate. Humorous at first, but by the end of the meal - annoying as heck. ;) Now comes the great part - the food...said no one ever tonight. It was all tough/thrown together. The only thing that saved the day were the pancakes. It also took a while to get the food to our table. A side of cheese sticks came first. And they were cold. The marina dipping sauce was CHILLED. The chicken tenders looked/tasted like they were deep fried for 10 mins too long. The sides of fried/onion rings tasted cool instead of warm. It was fairly gross. When one child asked for a glass of water (after she finished her kids chocolate milk,) 10 mins later it still wasn't there - but our server came with our bill 15 mins before we were even done eating, and came back to get it minutes later - at which time I asked again for the water. To add salt (and other ingredients,) to our wounds... the server completely jacked-up our bill. 1. The three kids originally were going to order from the kids menu - so when our server finally got to our table and asked about our drink order - the kids asked for their included kids meal chocolate milk - which came out fairly quickly. But then they saw things on the I-HOPPY HOUR menu they wanted instead. So when the server came back to take the food orders she was perplexed since now the kids had "un-included" chocolate milk in front of them. Oh the conundrum!!!! (Not) I quickly assured her that I was fine paying for a kids chocolate milk for each of them. Yet when the bill comes - I saw she charged us a LARGE chocolate milk ($2.99) for each kid!! Not even a regular sized one ($2.39). What's up with that?! Check out the picture of a large glass and the puny kids cup our three kids received their small chocolate milks in. 2. Two girls ordered pancakes with ice cream + whipped cream/sprinkles dessert off the $3.00 I-HOPPY HOUR menu. Since we were trying to be fun but responsible parents - I asked the server to not put the ice cream "on" the pancakes for each kid - but rather put that in a small dish. Our plan was to get them to eat the pancakes with the goal being the ice-cream reward! :) The bill comes, and we were charged $0.99 extra for the ice cream for each order ($3.99 total). Why - because they used the SAME scoop/small amount of ice cream and placed it in a dish?! That's just NUTS! I could have been a lot more understanding and not judgmental of the poor service. People can have challenging days. But hyper-inflating our bill like that was tantamount taking $ from our pocket. Again - not cool...not cool. Pictures of the bill and menu are included. read more
