    P&W omelette

I'm tried something different today and glad I did. The P&W omelette is my new favorite. The chopped filling is a major upgrade. Service is always excellent and the ambiance was great for a Sunday morning

Credit cards only. No cash. Lots of tables to dine in for a pretty cool clean establishment. Variety of food selections to choose from depending on what time of day you show up. Somewhat disappointed with my breakfast of soft scrambled eggs, 2 pc burnt bacon and 4 pcs of half sliced toast.

I can't believe it's been 10 years since I've last been here. I wasn't too happy the last time I was here, lol. We got the corned beef hash omelette $17.25, three piece honey butter chicken and waffles $18.95 and a side of pancakes $2. Their pancakes are light and fluffy. The waffles weren't crispy as they were drenched in honey sauce. The three pieces of chicken thighs were huge. I have no idea where they get their chicken pieces from. I ate one piece of chicken and a quarter of the waffles and was stuffed. I took everything else home. The omelette was also good, but we couldn't finish that either. One things for sure...they give huge portions at this place.

My OG childhood spot, still sooo good after all these years. Love how diverse the menu is and creative dishes too. My favorite is the fried rice special, sunny side up with Portuguese sausage. Make sure to honey butter chicken and waffles EXTRA CRISPY SOOOO GOOOODD. game changer. House fries were soo crispy. Deep fried Oreos were pretty good, kinda greasy tho but yum! 10/10

Great place for breakfast and brunch. Food is great and portions are generous. You order your food and they'll bring it to you. Service was good too. I asked for a side order of the cornbread waffles. They charged for a whole chicken plate w/cornbread waffles. They corrected my order and gave me a refund, no questions asked. Place is casual and semi-cozy. It's like being at your grandparents kitchen. Ordered crab cake Benedict, cornbread waffle, and veggie omelet smothered in hollandaise sauce. This was so good that I didn't get to take a picture of it. If you like gravy and savory foods, this is a good choice.

I have been craving Belgian waffles for a while now. Came here for the waffle combo and it didn't disappoint. Thw waffle was exactly what I wanted.

Breakfast spot... Thanks to Nadine who made this a gathering place as they have lots of tables in the back making it an easy spot to gather up the gang and with lots of free parking and you pay first at the counter makes it an easy place for many to enjoy. From Pancakes and Waffles to French toast and Benies they have all the local faves like loco moco and yes plate lunches here, they open nice and early from 6:30am so I decided to grab some breakfast and it was the Breakfast Bento on their specials as it has all the yummies with Portuguese sausage, spam and sausage with scrambled eggs and a scoop of rice it was a fast and easy fix for this morning rush time before I head for work. The staff is nice and friendly getting my order in inefficiently though it's card only here no cash but with this lovely vibe here you're sure to have a great start to your day. Thank you!

I just went last week Thursday January 29, 2026 in the morning I had the waffle combo with scrambled eggs and crispy bacon it was so delicious the waffle so soft n crunchy in the right places the eggs fluffy plentiful and the bacon just perfect tasting. I had a coffee too which was great tasting n hot. The service is always awesome so friendly and helpful. The ambience is so chill too I'll be back soon.

One of the best breakfast places I ever ate at. Food was delicious and service was fast! Ordered through the QRS code on the table. Waited 10mins for our order and everything was perfect. Loved their strawberries and cream waffle and French toast!

We decided to try this place for breakfast and it was an amazing experience! From the delicious food to the great staff this place was fantastic. We ordered the country breakfast which came with biscuits and gravy, eggs, and sausage, and the chicken and waffles, plus a side of fried rice. The gravy on the biscuits and gravy was so savory which paired well with the buttermilk biscuits, then adding in the over easy eggs and sausage made it that much better; a true classic. The chicken and waffles came with two giant pieces of chicken thighs fried placed on a crispy waffle. The chicken it self had a crispy outer layer and a juicy inside, mixing in a bite of the crispy waffle and sweet syrup gives this plate a super satisfying taste. The fried rice was great and went well with everything we ordered. The staff was super nice and answered any questions we had about the menu, the food came out really quick, they took our plates after we finished eating, and always checked on us to see if we needed anything else! I love cafe/diner style restaurants and pancake and waffles fits the bill, it's so cozy and clean inside and gives you that nostalgic feeling of eating in a small town diner. They also serve lunch and dinner so we will definitely be back to try it. Please come and check it out for yourself and see why it's worth five stars!

It was so good we didn't come back for 5 years based on my last review date lol! We wound up here because we tried to go to Guieb (line down the street at 9am), Koa pancake house (another crowd outside) so we came here because I don't care how good the food is, waiting in line ain't worth my time! We got right in. They now have a QR code on your table you can order and pay on OR you can order and pay at the counter. Plenty of parking. Nice staff. Clean. Decent grub. Not much to complain about except I think it's a bit overpriced for the quality and ambience. I'm just not a breakfast person. Their waffles are fluffy and soft, no crisp to them. Like a pancake who identifies as a waffle if that makes sense. I like how you can customize everything (the ordering app makes it easy to see all the options and added prices). Beware that it all adds up fast tho! My chorizo Benedict was pretty good. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked, the chorizo tasted like spicy curried meat crumbles, which surprised me. The hollandaise sauce was watery and bland. It was surprisingly spicy! Hash browns were perfectly cooked! Their honey fried chicken was juicy and crispy and piping hot. $5.45 for 1 single piece seems excessive tho. Overall it's a solid choice if you want a big breakfast without a hassle!

Pancakes was delicious even tho I was expecting more ham and cheese in the pancakes. the omelet was also good they did not shy from putting spam inside. where we lost 2 stars is there is no service. u seat down order thru QR code they deliver the food. if u want water u have to get it yourself. then the ask u for a 15-25% tip. Maybe I'm old fashion but I like when a person comes and takes your order. The place is clean the staff behind the counter seem nice. No bathroom they are outside. Will I eat hear again? Yes

We started with a shrimp elote special and the chicken liver mousse. The shrimp elote was unique and flavorful. The mousse was my favorite thing of the night. So rich and creamy and the cherry marmalade paired so well with it. Love that they provided ample bread to go with it. I had to try the la chancla cocktail - the mayo washed mezcal caught my eye. It sounds a little strange but it was very good and was quite strong. For entrees we got the carbonara and zucchini lemon risotto. The carbonara was really rich and the Portuguese sausage added a nice touch. Looking at pictures of it beforehand I was worried the portion size would be small but it's served on a large bowl making the portion look smaller than it is. The risotto had a refreshing tangy sweetness from the lemon. Both have the option of adding on crispy prosciutto for $4. We didn't but saw some that other people ordered and it looked amazing - next time! One of the servers there provided a great recommendation with a wine pairing for the carbonara and let me try a rose before committing. It wasn't something I would normally have chosen but it worked well and I'm grateful for his helpfulness.

Just sprinkle some salt and it would be perf. - Chopped - All kine goodies in this salad but the dressing was very "nothing." I added some garlic salt when I ate the leftovers and it kicked it up a notch. - Chicken Pappardelle - The pasta was terrible. So thick and doughy. Took away from the chicken which was okay. Ended up dumping the leftover pasta...which was pretty much the whole thing. - Oxtail Mac & Cheese - This was more like an Oxtail Helper (like Hamburger Helper). Very not cheesey. Baby ate some but think she wanted more cheese. Tasted better the next day. Friends had the Prime. The temp on each was given to the wrong person, which needed to be right since 1 person didn't get the roasted pot. The medium-rare one was cold. Like COLD. Strange. Overall think they fell a little short on the food. Some things GREAT, some thing the opposite, so balanced out. Will I go back? Of course, but now I know what not to get.

As a 12-year food service old-head, I can almost guarantee it was just taken from a cooler and microwaved, albeit not nearly long enough. Same for the au jus; it was steaming hot when it came out but room temp within 2-3 minutes, pretty hallmark microwave trait. They also had a crispy bread starter with some sort of bright red syrup in a tiny plastic cup. The bread wasn't bad but the syrup tasted like straight cough syrup. The kitchen timers were also insanely loud. I sat at the counter and they were uncomfortably shrill even to me, I can't imagine what it does to those poor cooks' ears over time. It's one of those spaces where you hope the next place finally sticks. But the food at Scratch Kitchen? Absolutely delicious. The kind of meal where the pictures alone make your mouth water. If "smell‑a‑vision" or "lick‑your‑screen" technology existed, everyone would understand exactly what I mean. Every dish was full of flavor, beautifully done, and perfect for a Mother's Day treat. Which is why I can't help but wonder what happened -- like so many restaurants before them in that same location. With food that good, you'd hope they'd be the ones to break the cycle. All in all, I'm grateful I got to enjoy that meal with my daughter. It was memorable, delicious, and one of those small moments you hold onto. Marie

It was so sad this business is closing down by Oct 31st. With rising food costs, inflation and…read morestaffing, it's understandable but I wish best endeavors for Chef Jason Peel and his staff. My fiance won a gift card actually 2 of them (from his coworker whom could not get a reservation secured), we knew we had to make the trip over before they officially close. We had multiple dishes, but staff made Kauai prawns and tomato miso black cod dishes on the house since they ran out the Hokkaido scallops. We ordered the short ribs, lobster appetizer, hamachi crudo and lastly sashimi moriawase to finish food palate. Lukki lemon dessert was great way to end to night. Ordered the Milk tea bouquet cocktail while my better half had water ( either way the food coma knock him out cold the rest of the night lol). To be honest, it was difficult to determine which dish was the best because the staff kept quality there despite it being busy every night since they announce the closure. Sashimi moriawase, fish was so fresh, reminded me of my time spent in Hokkaido and Sapporo. Short ribs was soft and rich in flavor. Both me and my fiance liked the lukki lemon dessert, like lemon meringue pie but broken down version. If you have a chance to dine here before closing and got a reservation, definitely will have a lovely dining experience and your stomach will be full by end of the night.

The staff were friendly and very helpful with giving us recommendations. We ordered 3 appetizers and 2 entrees, and honestly it was too much food for us. We had leftovers for breakfast the next day! - For appetizers we got: Ulu Tots, Japanese Eggplant, and Corn Beignets. The Corn Beignets was the best. - For entree we got: Tomato Miso Black Cod and the Short Rib. Both were delicious and worth a try. Sad to see that this restaurant appears to be closing.
