Was really good. Just like a chipotle but little better. Burrito was HUGE. Fast friendly service. Very clean. Tortillas made fresh per order. Definitely will go again....

We went here thinking this place was a Mexican sit down restaurant. Had I read the reviews, I would have realized that it was more of a fast food Chipotleesque type of establishment. Nonetheless, the food was good and the price very economical. I wouldn't say it's as good as Chipotle, but edible just the same. The best part about Panchero's is the fresh pressed tortillas for each and every order. They are lite, thin and delicious. Even Chipotle doesn't hold a candle to the tortillas offered at Pancheros. Outside of the tortilla, the meat and fillings were just ok. Nothing above your average fast food type of Mexican fare. We received blue tortilla chips and salsa with our check-in. We were not a fan of the chips. They were super salty and a bit on the stale side.

Finally a fast-food burrito place in the middle of nowhere. This place is another one of those wannabe Chipotle places like Qdoba and etc. The exceptions that "distinguishes" them from Chipotle are: 1. the "fresh made" tortilla - even though its cool seeing it made "fresh", it still tastes the same as any other tortilla in other burrito places 2. The cilantro "with lime" rice. Personally, I find Chipotle's rice to be better than theirs because I love cilantro and at Pancheros, you cannot taste the cilantro. 3. The blue chips instead of the regular chips 4. They mix the ingredients for you prior to wrapping the burrito (I don't know if this really makes the big of a difference) 5. VERY slow service. This place is takes about 2-3 times the speed of Chipotle to make a burrito so you will see a long line at prime eating hours. But its new, so I will let them slide by with this. Overall I find Chipotle to be far superior to this place, but given that this is the only fast-food burrito place around, I guess I will eat here when I'm in the mood for fast-food burrito without driving 30 miles. P.S. I find that most restaurants around Bordentown area (this place, Mastori, Dublin's, All-Star, and etc.) to be doing pretty well. These places are always packed during prime time so to me it looks like people around here like to eat out (or they have nothing better to do since there's nothing here), so if you want to open up a restaurant and do well, think about opening up one here. Some of the places we missing here are Boba places, Korean restaurants, and Ramen restaurants.

I'd known about them for years, but they were kind of out of the way for me. The place is small and unassuming, which gave me high expectations, as sometimes I find myself having lower expectations for a more "Mexican" decorated place (I'm wrong as often as I'm right). As far as the Fish Tacos went, they do not serve the Baja style fried fish tacos that I'd grown up on out west, so it was a downer when the plater arrived and I saw the tacos filled with chopped fish cooked in broth. That said, at least the taco was well filled and the fish had a very good flavor. The broth turned out to be a major issue, as the (very tasty) single layer tortillas were soaking up the broth while I ate the first taco, and the second and third tacos both split at the seams and fell apart after one or two bites. A second tortilla may have prevented this debacle, but I won't order fish tacos here again. I'd have loved a fish soup made in this style. The next visit I tried Tacos de Tripa (fried pork intestines), which is my current go to taco style. They were very good, and I enjoyed the heck out of them. They were nice and crispy as I'd requested, and the excellent tasting tortilla made them an excellent choice. My wife had a cheese tamal that had ribbons of poblanos inside as well, and it was also very good with the poblanos providing a nice balance to the heaviness of the cheese. I'd get both again in a heartbeat. My third visit was at lunchtime, and I opted for a Torta de Chili Relleno--essentially a chili relleno sandwich. It wasn't the first I've ever had, and it's a fave torta when I see them on the menu--which isn't often. The torta arrived with a nice sized chili relleno along with the usual smear of beans, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, and a couple pieces of queso fresco served on a lightly toasted roll. Overall, the torta was very good tasting, and it went down nicely. However, I wish they used a little firmer roll instead of the soft one they did use. The torta was big and warm, and a crustier roll would have been better. The soft one used was near to collapsing under the weight of the ingredients. Fries are an option on the many torta options for a couple dollars extra. In retrospect, I'd have liked to have added a layer of fries to the sandwich for a little extra kick. All in all, El Gallo Tropical is a place I'll continue to go to. The staff is very friendly, and the menu is extensive (too big?). Although I had them initially at three stars after my first visit for fish tacos, the second (4+) and third (4-) visits have raised them up, and I'm rounding up to a four.

Beautiful space, excellent Mexican food, and great service…read more My family brought me to Mezcal as a surprise, and we were all really impressed. From the moment you walk in, the restaurant makes a great first impression. The décor is beautiful and upscale, but still inviting and there are plenty of great spots for social media pictures. We started with a few lighter appetizers, but they ended up being more than enough. We shared three sets of tacos: the fish, pork, and short rib. Each order comes with two tacos, which makes them perfect for sharing and trying different flavors. The esquites were also really tasty and all paired very well. My daughter had a cheese quesadilla, which she absolutely loved. For drinks, I went with an Old Fashioned (my go to classic) while my wife ordered the "Clock It" mocktail. Both were solid choices. I also appreciated that they brought out boxed water for my daughter, which was a nice touch. What really stood out to me, though, was the service. Our waiter was attentive without being overbearing and made sure we were taken care of throughout the meal. There's also a fairly large bar right at the entrance, so you don't necessarily have to come here for a full meal. I could easily see Mezcal being a great date-night spot or a place to grab drinks and enjoy the atmosphere. There's also plenty of parking in the back, which is always a plus. Overall, I'd definitely come back. Next time, I want to try some of the main dishes. It's a higher-end restaurant, so expect the prices to reflect that, but between the food, atmosphere, service, and presentation, I thought it was well worth the experience.
