Was there when they first openend and was not impressed. I returned recently as I am a big fan of mexican food. While not as good as a local mom and pop mexican restaurant, the portions were large and fresh with a variety of topping choices. The price for the 2 tacos that I got was definately worth it. I really like Pancheros. You can spend an entire day comparing it to a number of other similar restaurants starting with the word Chipotle, but I won't bore you. Instead, let me focus on 3 reasons why you need to try a burrito here: 1) Fresh. Pressed. Burritos. Other places use the wrap itself as a means to an end. At pancheros it's as much a part of the delicious experience as anything else. If the wrap itself is the stage on which your burrito is built, then consider pancheros' to be new york city music hall. 2) They mix your ingredients together before serving. I'm enraged by biting into 90% rice at all other restaurants that try to impress you with a mountain of toppings each fighting for a tiny bit of burrito real estate. At pancheros they mix everything so the first delectable bite is identical to the last. 3) GREENADE SAUCE . Some kind of green chili based concoction so good I literally buy it from the restaurant and pour all over food at home. Please don't eat anything without this green gift from the Aztec gods. read more

As a frequent customer of Moes, I would have to say this place is lacking in comparison. I consider it slightly better than chipotle as the place was not overly crowded and the food was slightly warmer. However, compared to moes, the value is not there. I usually get a kids burrito at moes which comes with a cookie, chips, a drink and burrito, which is enough to fill me up without over filling me for $5 (and I get it for free often through the app). Pancheros cost me $10 for just a burrito and drink. The flavor was similar to moes although I still prefer the moes burrito. The burrito was about 25% larger than the kids burrito I usually get at moes. I probably won't be coming back here. If you like chipotle you will probably like this place ‍ read more

What a lovely experience! We walked in with about 20 minutes to closing and they didn't make us feel rushed at all. The people working behind the counter which I assumed to be a couple who owned it were top notch with there customer service. As they made our bowls I was shocked by the fresh tortilla they made and my sister and I kept saying to one another how good it looked! After sitting down and beginning our meal which was delicious, the women brought us over some mini tortillas for us to eat. How thoughtful! Everything was delicious and the people who served us were kind and thoughtful, which you don't see a lot of recently. I will definitely be a returning customer! read more

A step down from Moe's and Chipotle. Had a salad with steak. It was just Ok and rather small for the price. Steak is cut into tiny cubes, which is usually done to hide that it's very poor quality. Well, that's what it is - poor quality. It's chewy like every piece is grizzle. And it's spice is oddly non-Mexican. Also, disappointed to see the use his (gloved) fingers to handle food, putting spilled stuff back in containers. People don't seem to understand that unclean gloves and counters, etc, are just as dirty as hands. read more

This is definitely one of the better fast-food Mexican chain restaurants. I really dislike Chipotle and Moe's is too far from our house. They hand make all their tortillas and you can definitely tell when you eat it. It's not the same as a homemade tortilla from a small mom&pop Mexican place, but it's MUCH better than any other Mexican fast food place. I usually get the tacos now because the rice bowls don't compare to Moe's (in my opinion). I really like raw fresh vegetables in my rice bowls and they only have salsas and cooked vegetables here. Their spices for their meats are a little salty but much better than any other fast food Mexican place. There usually isn't a huge line whenever I come here which is also nice. The line isn't out the door like the mainstream Chipotle. I usually get chicken tacos with corn salsa, mild salsa, cheese and lettuce. It's a good combo for someone who doesn't like spicy food. The tortilla doesn't break on the drive home because it's already fresh and spongey and soaks up the ingredients. read more

My wife & I went here for lunch. She ordered a bowl. When the lady put the lettuce in the bowl it did not look good. The lettuce looked brown & old. She asked if there was different lettuce, the lady said no so my wife said that she didn't want it. The Manager overheard the situation and came right over, he got fresh lettuce and the lady behind the counter was not happy about it. I ended up getting a burrito. LOVE Pancheros... probably a little more than Chipotle. I usually get the carnitas burrito and blue corn tortillas with their queso. The tortillas are fresh made, pressed and cooked right in front of you for your order. I see a bunch of reviews that note flavorless food; taste is subjective so I can't call you guys crazy, but most things I've tried were pretty good but I usually stick with the carnitas. This place gets 2 stars for one reason. It is because the staff was very friendly and hardworking. Other then that it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had for food. I have never been to a pancheros before and honestly will never go again. First the food had no taste at all or hardly any. Second the taste that it did have tasted stale like it was sitting there all day. I had one bite and almost spit it back out into my plate. I ended up throwing out the meal after that because it was that bad. My mother also had a burrito that she said tasted like they dumped a ton of salt on it and she then threw hers out as well and we proceeded to another food establishment to eat. After driving by multiple times, my husband and I decided to give this place a try. Eh, it was underwhelming. My husband was not a fan of the mixing all the ingredients together in the burrito (I imagine if we went back we could ask for that not to happen). If you like Chipolte and Qdoba then you will probably not like Panchera. Same setup as build you own burrito but just not that good. Vegetables cooked to the point of mush, tough over cooked meats and general lack of fresh. Only redeeming factor is the tortillas. An interesting place, different than most, and we will back mostly for the following reasons: We arrived late on a Saturday night, maybe 45 minutes before closing. I didn't feel like getting out of the car, so hubby ran in, got a menu, came back out, we made our decisions, and he went back in. no lie -- he was back out in 10 minutes, so I'm not sure when the long lines form. i would guess lunch and dinner times so my advice; GO LATE ON A SATURDAY because, as the nice young man who waited on my husband said, you get way more stuff late at night. This gentleman packed each and every container we ordered to the brim. We definitely got our money's worth. For example: we ordered two sides of beans and two sides of rice. He asked politely if all the food would be going to the same location and my husband said yes. He then asked if he could package it up in one large bowl instead of two small bowls and explained that way we would get more food. I must say, this guy who was working (9 p.m. Satuday, May 12) was fantastic. He assembled that order beautifully. The food is interesting -- definitely not a "Taco Bell" taste. i would perfer the food be spicier, and cheesier, but what it is is a "clean" taste if that makes sense. As Kathleen Madigan says, all Mexican food is basically four ingredients, but here they discover fresher tastes in roasted veggies, corn, etc. We ordered quite a selection: One chicken burrito, one veggie quesidillia, one steak salad, rice, beans, chips, salsa, guac, and queso. Pretty much a little of everything. We ate on all this for 3 days. Yes, I would prefer more spice but it is all very good. And the young man who packaged everything up did an outstanding job. Nothing was forgotten, everything came in its own little containers. The queso is an interesting find -- I would put this on everything so I'll order more next time (I think it's 75 cents). The beans could be spicer, and as others have said, I didn't taste a lot of cillantro in the rice. But overall we liked it. All main dishes are in the $7 range (burritos, salads, quessidillas, taco platter) and then you add on beans, rice, etc. We liked it. Thank you to the young man who waited on hubby. I went here around 12/2012 and really enjoyed my meal. During a time of year when people are out and about, Panchero's really sat me and my girlfriend comfortably. I ordered a chicken quesadilla, as she ordered steak taco's. I remember vividly enjoying our food. The reason I haven't been back is because I have moved. Don't let the quick serve look fool you -- this is really good food and great value for money. The food is really fresh and really good -- great guacamole, salsas, pico de gallo, fresh homemade tortillas. You can tell that the beans were soaked and cooked properly and not drained from a can. Carnitas was very tender and flavorful and they were not stingy with the meat in my burrito bowl. The staff is friendly, the manager is very attentive. Very good. Pretty much the same as Chipotle. Literally all the ingredients are the same. Chipotle has a slightly "heartier" taste to their burritos, but other than that it's the same idea of very large, very filling burritos with fresh ingredients. Aside from the high calorie count, the food is clearly much healthier than the typical fried food and pizza in same area. The only reason I cannot rate this place 5 stars is it is a bit more expensive than you would expect walking in. With guacamole and sour cream, your burrito will cost over $8. Two burritos and a small drink cost me and my girlfriend $18 and change. There's plenty of good diner food for cheaper. I can see myself eating there maybe twice a month should my wallet permit. Definitely one of the better choices in the area, though, and a more than satisfactory substitute for Chipotle considering the nearest Chipotle is at least a half hour drive. When it comes to overpriced burritos, I would prefer not to also have to waste gas money. Apparently people have complained about their rice not containing cilantro as advertised, or something to do with the *absence* of cilantro, as though that were something that even mattered. I didn't even know what cilantro was until recently, I was not aware it was a common ingredient in Mexican food, and I do not notice any particular taste in anything prepared with it. Certain groups of western Europeans (particularly of English descent) perceive the taste of cilantro as exceedingly bitter or soapy, due to genetics. So if this herb tastes either like nothing or like "soap and pond scum", as my girlfriend describes it, I don't see what the big deal is about leaving it out. read more

My boyfriend and I went yesterday for dinner, I wanted queso, which costs extra, but when I looked at it there was a dead bug floating on top. I told the employee who was working there- who was a middle aged hispanic woman, and seemed to have limited English, "there's a bug in the queso". She then picked it out with her bare hand and said "just a little one". She continued to look at me like i would still want queso. The whole time a man who seemed to be the manager was standing and watching. It wasn't thrown out.
