This is the 2nd time I've gone and I have had good experiences both times. Tonight I went late made it at 8:45pm and they closed at 9pm. I wasn't sure if they would have anything left because it is close to closing time. But to my surprise, they welcomed me in and asked me what was it I wanted to get that they still had plenty. A large a-la carte order (very packed and full square 7.5" x 7.5" white styrofoam container) of their yummy Orange Chicken and Black Pepper Beef is $11.99; chowmein of the same size is $8.99. Can't trust them with drive thru as they all seem indifferent and wouldn't really care about any complaints of missing food, so I take time to park-there's a lot of spaces available. Love this place food is always fresh, hot, and tasty. Very affordable. The fact that they have a drive through is amazing. I used to come here with my friends after school when I was a teenager and now as a mom and wife I come with my family when we're in town visiting. I remembered my friends picking this up to cater for a church event, 15 years ago. Surprised to see it still here. I just sampled one item and one item only. That is, the chow mein. You can really base the quality of a Chinese fast food by trying to chow mein. The chow mein was perfectly stirred fried and so delectable. The worker scooped it to the brim. They did forget to pack my cream cheese wontons though:( Orange chicken- 2/5 The outside breading was mushy unlike other Chinese spots with slightly crispy orange chicken. There were a few pieces of chicken that tasted funny. One of the pieces was pure fat and the other just had a funky taste. After that I stopped eating. I am a big fan of cheap Chinese food. The first thing I will sort of exciting was that it was right down the street from my house, so I jumped in the car and headed over to check it out. It's a very clean little place, the exterior of the building looks fresh, and not run down like some of the other establishments. So we were off to a good start. When you walk through the doors, you are greeted by a very clean and very nice steam trail lineup really good looking Chinese food. I ordered the two items combo, with all chow mein, orange chicken, and barbecued chicken. at first glance, I thought that the chicken was barbecued pork which I was really excited about, but was then told it was barbecued chicken I was a little bit sad, because I judge all Chinese fast food places based on the quality of their barbecue pork. I don't know if that was just a Thursday night thing, but I will go back again and check on the pork. Proportions are on point, the flavors are definitely there, and even the barbecue chicken was really tasty. Overall, this is a pretty darn good place to knock out your fast food Chinese craving, for under 10 bucks. I can honestly say you will not leave this place hungry. The bottom line? I've driven by Panda Bowl numerous times and have always been curious about their food; today I finally gave in. Ordered a Combo B which comes with fried rice and or chow mein, and 2 entrees - I got the orange chicken and sesame chicken. It was a bargain at $7.29+tax, because it was enough to fill both me and my boyfriend up with yummy food! Their fried rice and chow mein aren't bland as most Chinese takeout restaurants have which I think is a huge plus. The only down side and the reason I subtracted 1 star is because they are a cash only restaurant which makes it kind of an inconvenience. Thats probably why I've always neglected to go here because I almost never carry any cash on me. Today I had just enough cash and was craving some orabge chicken so it finally worked out Granted, they have an ATM machine inside, but I never liked the idea of my bank charging me to use a different ATM machine so that I can buy something else. I got lucky and was able to get all the items I wanted freshly made because they had just come out from the kitchen. I was going to eat it at home but I guess since it was fresh I had to eat right away in the car. The food was alright, your average fast food Chinese American type. I got the sesame chicken and orange chicken with chow mein. The sesame chicken had decent flavor, I wish the orange chicken had more of a tang citrus flavor to it. The major disappointing part to me is that a couple of the pieces I got were mainly batter and had hardly any meat in them.
