Saw many posts on IG where people were getting humongous portion and I finally decided to see if it was for real and oh boy It's Real! The staff greeted me and asked how was my day. I asked her back and she responded that her day was not well. Even though she was having a mediocre day, she didn't skimp on the portion. I ordered the two items combo for $15.49. I chose fried rice and chow mein and orange chicken and beef and broccoli. Both fried rice and chow mein were way better than Panda Express. Orange chicken taste some what different than Panda Express because it's their own take on orange chicken. The beef and broccoli could be better since the beef was mid. With the amount of food you get for the price you paid, it's such a good deal! The combo items that I got were delicious. As a Chinese American, Hong Kong Express satisfied my tummy and I would go back many more times. read more

This place always hit! If you want good Chinese fast food, then this is the place for you. They always make sure to fill your plate up so high that it can't close. We usually split a 3 item combo between the two of us and still have leftovers. Their food is always fresh and constantly coming out from the kitchen. We love their noodles, orange chicken, bbq pork, broccoli beef, and eggplant tofu. My hubby tried the chicken wings and he loved them. It did take a while because they made a fresh batch. You definitely get your money's worth from this place. Although it's a small business, they work fast and get you in and out. There's only a few tables to sit inside, so it's more of a takeout place. I've never seen a place be stuffing my box of food so much that it was unable to close and over spilling into the bag! For $16.99, we ordered chow mein with double orange chicken and charsiu. It's a meal for two turned out to be enough for four people! The lady was really nice, since we only wanted the chicken she told us a new batch is coming out in five minutes instead of serving us the "old" batch. And the chicken was amazing. Real big chunks of chicken thigh perfectly glazed with sauce and well fried outer coat layer. This is what real fake Chinese food we are talking about. The char siu wasn't too sweet but is on the drier side but the meat is lean not so fatty. Place is small but well kept dining area. Customers come in nonstop, and everyone was ordering the orange chicken, and each box was stuffed until can't close! Always a friendly greeting from the ladies behind the food trays. The grand daughter gets rice and noodles combo with orange chicken, where as the lovely missus opted for the same without the rice. I have been here three or four times, with the first time waiting in a long line. My initial draw to this establishment was the jalapeño chicken. I didn't know they were popular on social media, as I just did a yelp search for jalapeño chicken and saw how massive the quantity of food that they give you is. When they put the fried rice and noodles in the container, I was thinking they were going to use that as a filler and give me very little meat. It was so much food, I almost wanted to tell them they could take some out. Had to pick up some dinner and was in Huntington Beach and remembered Obi said to try out TN Homg Kong Express. So glad I did. I got the half/ half and the Orange chickenthe BBQ pork, egg rolls and Chicken zucchini mushroom stir fry. Amazing quantities of protein on my plate. I have never had to picture the HEIGHT of the food. I should have video recorded this plating up. There's no way the cover could ever close up. They triple bagged it! The hype is real here, they really do stuff your box to the point it can't be closed. My family likes to order their Orange Chicken, Charsiu Pork and the Mushroom Chicken. Sometimes, the Orange Chicken is good but sometimes, and maybe I was just unlucky that one time, it felt like it was mainly batter. I prefer their Chow Mein over the Fried Rice. Yes, the stories are true, the portions you get here are ginormous. I ordered a 3 item combo which came out to about $18-19, but they give enough food to feed probably 3 people. I ordered the broccoli beef, BBQ pork, egg plant, and chow mein, but from the picture you probably couldn't even tell there is anything under the BBQ pork lol. Now in terms of the quality, to sum it up, it taste similar to what you would expect to find at those all-you-can-eat Chinese buffets. In the sense that each item won't be the best you've ever had, but it certainly will get the job done! Otherwise the service was very nice and friendly. They work really hard to make sure you get your order quickly a d correctly. The store itself is kinda small with only 1-3 tables inside, so its best to just take your food to go. I can confidently say that this place is my new favorite I got the 2-item combo with orange chicken, charsiu and chow mein, and it was amazing. I shamelessly admit that sometimes I just want some Americanized Chinese food-- the kind that comes with battered chicken oozing with sweet and savory syrup and greasy fried rice. Hong Kong Express will give you just that, and in heaping portions at that! The lid won't close because of the huge portions and nothing more than $15 for the whole meal too. This was one of the absolute worst experiences I've ever had. Everything looked fine and tasted okay at first. The noodles felt a little stale but orange chicken was good. After already eating a portion we found insects all over one of items (the beef and broccoli). Completely ruined our appetite. It raises serious concerns about the cleanliness of the kitchen and whether anyone is inspecting or washing the produce before it's served. I'm thinking they were a colony of aphids that was in the broccoli and it wasn't washed well. I paid for lunch, and got a plate full of bugs. The entire meal went straight into the trash after we saw them. We were mortified. Completely unacceptable, and I will never order from this restaurant again. Okey this place is about quantity over quality for sure. Don't get me wrong, the foods are just so so but definitely, the portion is just HUGE. Parking is easy since the plaza has a big parking lot. The place is decent, messy & not well organized. Staff or all the ladies there are nice, friendly and funny. Got 3 items portion but somehow got 2 instead...the rice is undercooked (my pov), and the noodle is tasteless. Got the green beans and bbq pork...it's amazing how they packed it, item on top of item....and when you open the box, you literally don't know where to begin. The green bean is abit soaked therefore mushy and still abit under seasoned. The bbq pork is huge with big cut. Still not quite taste like bbq pork I used too...looks like it but unfortunately under delivered in taste. There is couple orange chicken got into the box (eve though I did asked for it), just say that I'm so glad I didn't get the portion of it. It's just okey, more of the batter and for me doesn't taste like orange chicken...the seasoning and taste are just off for me. So this spot popped up on my social media I think it was IG with one of the people that I follow advertising the crazy amount of food you get and finally was able to try it out. It's in a huge shopping plaza so parking is unlimited. The shop itself though is quit small. There's only a few tables available and when we got there it was all full but we didn't have to wait long for a table. By the time I finished ordering, a table opened up. The place itself is a hole in the wall so it is what it is. I came here because I'm so curious about the actual amount of food they give you and if it is that ridiculous and anyone that's a fan of Panda Express knows the food portions there have been shrinking year after year. We ordered two three item combo and got the orange chicken, bbq pork and chicken, and green bean chicken and YESsssss I got a mountain piled sky high amount of food just off two items (see pic) it was so much food they were barely able to close the box and food was falling out. They stuffed the 3rd item in a togo box. Both the bbq chicken and pork was really good. The rice was ok but the noodles were thick and heavy. I got food coma just trying to eat the noodles down so I can close the box lol. We did not like the orange chicken and made me miss panda. The two orders were a mistake. One order 3 items is enough to feed 3 people. Service was awesome!!! And you are definitely getting your moneys worth. This place puts pandas serving amount to shame. After looking at several reviews about your restaurant, I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Chef's Special Broccoli Beef which is supposed to be "cooked to order", it was not. What I got was the bottom of the steam bar pan with with what was left. The Broccoli was very hard because they leave the giant stocks on, to make it look like you're getting a lot of food. There was also very little beef in the dish. We also ordered the Kung pao chicken which was not very good. The only thing that I can say was good about eating there, were the egg rolls which were fresh, crunchy and delicious. Other than that, I would not recommend this place unless you like large portions of rice and chow mein to go with low quality main dishes. The staff had to put them in individual plastic bags to contain them. Also huge and delicious spring rolls - they had a really flavorful filling. The chow mein was good. After trying it, my aunt asked to get some for her. At that moment, they also brought out fresh bbq pork and chow mein. We got 2 items for her order. I came in to try this because there's a lot of good reviews and I've been craving Chinese fast food. Specifically chow mien and fried rice. I got there and what I wanted wasn't made yet and it would take 10 minutes so I asked for what I wanted which was Mongolian beef and the person serving me said I would have to wait but they don't charge for the fried rice or chow mien. I ended up waiting 20-30 minutes for the Mongolian beef and after it was made, the lady said now she's going to charge me for the chow mien and fried rice which she told me at the beginning it wasn't going to be an extra charge. I expect places to be honest about pricing and what they charge for especially after I waited 20 minutes over why they initially told me. Not going back. read more

This place gives huge portions! The way Chinese food used to be. I got a whole family meal, which fed a family of 6 for 2 days, for $60 on New Year's Eve. Everything was closed but luckily this place was open. We tried the Chow Mein, fried rice, orange chicken, jalapeño chicken, broccoli beef, and bbq pork. The noodles were thicker which I prefer.
