Best porridge in town. The turmeric dill fish was good too. Fast and friendly service. Smalll shop with good amount of tables. Be prepared to wait a bit but definitely worth it

Order Fish Egg Noodle Soup. The soup reminds me of wonton soup base. Bok Choy were perfect in size however I found slivered white onions which I felt was an odd pairing. Egg noodles were blanched perfectly. They put a lot of MSG because my heart rate spiked soon after while making the drive home.

We shared: 1. Chả Cá Thăng Long - Dill Turmeric Fish on a Sizzling Platter (incl. vermicelli, vegetables, peanuts & sesame crackers, shrimp or fish sauce) 2. Chảo Đặc Biệt Quảng Đông - House Special Porridge w/ shrimp, squid, chicken, fish 3. Bún Chả Hànội - Hanoi Style Grilled Pork with Vermicelli & Vegetables I've never had Viet-Canto style porridge before and it was flavorful and comforting. Dill turmeric fish was perfectly cooked. Grilled pork was dry unfortunately. Good portions of vermicelli and fresh veggies. No issues with service. Ambience was unassuming and fine.

DELICIOUS! The best congee I have ever had. We called in a pickup order and it was ready super fast. We got a pork/preserved egg congee with a Chinese donut and my husband got a chow fun. Both were delicious but the congee was the standout star. Something so simple had so much flavor. I highly recommend it. Place is cash only. Very small with not a lot of seating but the plaza has a lot of parking.

This place has authentic Chinese- Vietnamese food. Place is cash only or Zelle. Service was great. Had some Language barrier but that's how you know this place is legit. We ordered the seafood porridge and combo wonton soup. Everything was fresh and great. Interior is nice, nothing dance but serviceable. Prices are great, would definitely come back again. 5 stars.

Fish porridge was really good. I got a Vietnamese coffee too. Great late lunch for me. Never had fish porridge before but glad I tried it. I would stop in more often if I lived in the area, you should get the fish porridge! Parking was kind of challenging but a spot eventually opened up. Cash only but they accept Zelle. Smallish restaurant, casual ambiance.

Came here twice, once a year, for that delicious and amazing and healing fish porridge. The flavor did not change, but I feel like it got even better because here, your memory won't fail you. Right off the boiler, into the beautiful wooden pot, served straight to your table with extra bowls and a ladle. White peppery congee with tender, melt in your mouth white fish -- the perfect amount for the portion. Plentiful ginger, a little vinegar and fish sauce. YES PLEASE. We had to get the wonton soup special again. As we were eating the delicious meal, the other guest on a weekday afternoon was served the house special broiled fish on the hot plate. The sweet aroma filled the room. We almost ordered that too, but we were stuffed. I can't wait to go back and get the broiled fish! Thank you to the amazing Vietnamese aunty and uncle who took such good care of us. They know their food brings people together and heals their soul, and they bring that kind energy while they check on you and drop off your meal. Every penny is worth it going to them.

This restaurant lived up to the hype! It was so delicious and I was famished from driving up from San Diego. Loved the white fish porridge/congee, the bun cha, and cha ca la von. Customer service was amazing, fast and friendly and the cashier recommended I try a few different items next time I am around this area.

Absolutely incredible meal! The dill fish was hands down the best I've ever had! It was perfectly cooked, incredibly fresh veggies , and just enough flavor. The fish porridge was also outstanding: comforting, sweet, rich, and delicious. Every dish tasted like it was made with care, and the quality of the ingredients really stood out. Kind and welcoming service too.

I was craving chao so my friend took me here and it did not disappoint. The chao was perfect and not too salty and they serve it to you in this giant wooden pail LOL. My friend told me the star of the show is the sizzling fish so I'm gonna have to come back for that but the chao hit the spot for me !!! And the salted plum soda IS MA FAVVVV. I will ALWAYS get it if they have it. My friend got the beef egg noodles and it was delicious as well. There's also this Chinese donut thing that you dip in the chao. Fire. Food came out super fast and chao hit the spot so good I got food coma and knocked out. Will def be back to try more dishes.

Hours: Monday - Sunday 9:30 AM - 9:00 PM Ngôn lam ! Em thít lắm. Nhiều Cho dau xe (stater brother) parking lot. Interesting cháo spot. I went with my mom and tried their porridge ( Chao). $13.99 The texture was thick and hearty, which I learned is more of a traditional Cantonese-style consistency. I appreciated that authentic thickness. Flavor wise, the base porridge was a bit mild for me and could've used more depth. (hồi lac trước siêu nhưng mà không sao, minh là người viết nắm mà, THÍM NƯỚC MAM. Their $27.99 cháo cá Thái Long, though, was very good. The fish was fresh and tender, and the dipping sauce was perfectly balanced . That sauce really elevated the whole dish. It's a cozy Vietnamese and Cantonese fusion spot with plenty of parking located to the left side of the Stater Bros parking lot.

We have been coming here for years and it has maintained the flavors and quality of the menu all this time. If you feel like Chả Cá Thăng Long (Fish with Turmeric & Dill), you must try it here. It is grilled on a hot cast iron plate and stays hot the whole time during your meal. Seasoned with turmeric and other secret ingredients, the fish is grilled with onions on this hot plate, then garnished with fresh dill. The fish is served alongside fresh green leaf lettuce, perilla, peppermint herbs; rice noodles, peanuts, toasted sesame cracker; and the sauce of choice for us is nuoc mam (fish sauce). The default sauce is mam tom (a fermented shrimp paste sauce) Ask for the pickled jalapeños, for you chili fans. You can eat this by wrapping some herbs, fish, and noodle in a lettuce leaf and dipping in the fish sauce. Or just pile a little of everything in a bowl and eat bite full at a time. There are many other items on the menu, but another popular dish is rice porridge - really good for when you're feeling under the weather. Plenty of parking. Look all ways and be careful. Service is polite and fairly quick. Enjoy!

CASH ONLY OR ZELLE. aside from that, everything is great! The chao ca (fish porridge is delicious!) I had to add the Chinese donut and the thousand year old egg, makes the entire meal complete and reminded me of grandpa. Seasoned to perfection. Got the Hanoi meat noodle dish too. Flavor is good. Simple place but was super crowded. Service is good and pleasant. I would come back on another cold day.

Simple lay out and both times pretty full, seems that Lobster dish is the one that keep them coming. The have lunch specials 7 days a week and the 1st time we tried from that menu. Served with a simple soup that was very tasty for visually simple. My wife got a dish with catfish that she really liked. My 2nd visit I went with the Fried noodle dish, he made it with chicken and shrimp and it was amazing. Service is great and they kind of work the floor like a team and keep all the tables happy. Our 1st waiter knew a little Tagalog and playfully attempted to use it. He was really funny. Both times we took food home and had plenty of leftovers. Great little hidden gem that is a bit out of the way but worth the travel. Go check them out.

Turns out, it wasn't nearly as crowded as before - though spoiler: the price has increased a lot (I want to say it was $25/lb 10 years ago, and now is $37/lb). Keep in mind too, you can't get a small amount like 1lb - usually it's gonna be 3+lb so your bill is easily going to hit mid-$100 to $200s from the lobster alone. That being said, many people swear this is the best, and that's why they can charge whatever they want. I'm actually allergic to lobster (lol) but am a team player so I just sampled it for the funsies, and had to get another dish to actually eat (went with the beef lok luk). My family said the lobster noodle was good, but not like, fantastic (which we were expecting not fantastic but yeah, mostly came here to a family meeting.) The beef lok luk was also pretty good like, 4.3 of 5 - we just had another version at Paradise which was astounding (like 4.6) though also more expensive and pretty far away. Overall, not sure if we'll come back again as we're more curious about the copycats that have popped up which might be 80% as good and much more affordable. Stay tuned! :)

Not sure how I missed reviewing this spot, but O. M. G. this BBQ joint makes you want to slap yo…read moremama! It is so delicious. I have only been once with my sister and her family after a morning of pickleball. Mostly every item is sold separately other than a couple of bowls and sandwiches. They do have family meals starting at $80+ which includes your pick of 4 meats and 4 sides. Unfortunately, the majority of items are upcharged, so it gets pretty pricey real quick. But they have some really interesting and delicious options since it's a fusion of BBQ with Asian flavors. The pick 4 family meal is advertised for 4 adults. It was 5 of us (3 adults and 2 kids) so we got the smallest of the meals. My sister and her husband really wanted the beef ribs (this is only available on Sundays, and it adds $40 to the total). We also got 1/2 rack of pork ribs (+$10), pulled pork and smoked brisket (+$4). My favorite of the meats was the brisket. Next time we said we will double up on that. For the sides, we got tallow fries (+$1), cornbread (+$1), sesame slaw, and pandana pudding (+$3). The honey butter they serve with the cornbread is sooo delicious and the sesame slaw has a unique zing to it. The pandana pudding was an AMAZING dessert!! Loved the pandan flavor in the banana pudding. Would definitely get that again. You wait a good while in line, and then they give you a buzzer while you wait and look for a table in the outdoor area. We got lucky and found a table with shade provided by an avocado tree. The establishment also has a variety of adult drinks on tap: beer, wine and selzters as well as canned/bottled drinks. They even have lemonades and sangrias at times. There is a sandbox, plenty of space for kids to run around, areas to climb, outdoor games like the giant connect 4 at times and sandbag toss. It's a great space to hang out and chill with the family. Can't wait to come back! Main con: you may have to park a couple blocks away. Some of the tables are in complete sun with little-to-no shade. Hopefully they get more shade options set up.

I chose the brisket, crispy pork belly, pork char siu, and pork ribs and added a sausage link. I selected the dirty rice, spicy cucumbers, beef tallow fries and coleslaw as our sides. Upon ordering we then went to find a seat. Your options are endless. There's actually no dining area inside the renovated house converted to a restaurant. There is seating outside along the perimeter of the house under shaded awning. There is also seating in teepees or a wooden bus or picnic tables throughout the cottage grounds. We chose to stay close to the main restaurant in order to get napkins and drink refills and bbq sauce and able to take in the Sunday afternoon football game on the big screen. The food was impressive for value as well as taste. All the meats were a hit. We especially enjoyed the crispy pork belly and pork ribs. The brisket was lacking juiciness but was smoky and tender and lacked a little salt. Our favorite side was the beef tallow fries, spicy cucumbers and the slaw with tangy vinaigrette helped cut the richness of the meats. We ended on the padana banana pudding which I thought was such a perfect way to end such a hearty smoky meat filled meal. Not overly sweet but chefs kiss delightful. I look forward to a return visit to try other meats and sides and desserts. Thanks @hungryformunchies for your instagram reel review.
