We've been coming here for a long time and it's always so good! Tom, the owner is such a nice guy, always so kind and service is great. The food is always delicious and made to order, everything is always so fresh & flavorful. Inside is clean, and a nice place to have a lowkey lunch or dinner. If you are in HB or near, try Egg Roll King!

1st time here and food was delicious! Will definitely be back! We all liked our dishes.

We have a confession to make. Rather uncomfortable. We have lived within walking distance of this joint for as long as it has existed and only recently gave it a go. Embarrassing, yet cleansing and cathartic. We got: Veggie egg rolls and cream cheese wontons. Mu Shu Pork. Kung Pao Chicken. Honey walnut shrimp. Egg Fried Rice. Chicken Chow Mein. They start you off with a plate of fried noodles...think Chinese chips and salsa. Shoyu at table, sweet and sour sauce provided, hot mustard upon request, the ubiquitous Sriracha also on table. Yeah, we weren't shy. All of it was tasty. We bagged about half of it to go. Large portions. Small place with just about half dozen tables. Very bustling take out scene. Excellent value for the amount of food you get. And, the service was great. You will not leave here hungry. The amount of food they crank out for takeout and sitdown orders is impressive.

This is, by far, our favorite Chinese restaurant in Huntington Beach! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, exactly what you hope for in a great Chinese restaurant. The owner and staff are so friendly and exceptionally attentive, making every visit feel special. Whether you're dining in or ordering takeout, the food is consistently outstanding and absolutely delicious!!

Stumbled upon here with an idea to get some Fried Rice. Well, we got chicken eggrolls, house fried rice, honey glazed walnut shrimp, Mongolian beef, and House chicken. All exceeded my expectations and were absolutely delicious! Definitely a must try place. By the way, portions are huge too. Their shrimps were ginormous!

I can't help it. Egg Roll King is just one of our favorites. We must do it as often as possible and I really don't have to do a review each time. I know it is always a foodie experience when we go. But today was special and the craving was overwhelming.... thus we entered and were immediately recognized by mr Tom. He insisted we sit comfortably by the large aquarium. The lovely missus has her favorite sweet and sour dish with Chicken and my roving eyes stopped at the Chicken Chop Suey dinner. We also wanted a to-go order of Bean Curd and Vegetables for the grand daughter. I need to write that the sweet and sour chicken was fantastic. A thick sauce that is second to none and battered chicken pieces that filled the plate with carrots and pineapple. She enjoyed this and it was enough to have the leftover put into a container. I enjoyed the fresh broccoli and Bean Sprouts and the tender chicken in a stir-fried fashioned soya sauce. Put that on top of white fluffy rice and you've got a great tasting dish. No complaints, only happiness. The service was wonderful and we had the to-go bags readied. Dining in at Egg Roll King was a great choice.

Egg Roll King is so cute. It is not huge. Parking is easy. The prices are great. You can get egg rolls for as little as 3$ for 2 chicken ones. Yummy. We try to dine there, but we also deliver when we are in a hotel nearby or we do take away. All are great. The food comes fresh, hot and as ordered. The service is very nice and they are good with kids. You will like them. We just love their egg rolls and get them all whenever we are there, we just take the rest with us. They are great the next day. They have, Vegetable Egg Rolls (2) Chicken Egg Rolls, Pork Fried Wontons, Cream Cheese Wantons (not for me usually) and Fried Dumplings egg rolls. All are great. They also have wonderful fried rice and have a good selection. We love all their food. Their Kung Pu Shrimp is great. All of the main courses are very good. And again, super reasonable prices and great service.

I had an excellent dinner here with immediate family members. Vegetable Egg Rolls were moist inside and very good. A Small Hot & Sour Soup was excellent, with the caps of Button Mushroom bobbing on top, tofu, egg, and broth that had the perfect blend of sweet and sour notes. Fried Pork Dumplings were small but nicely constructed and very good in taste dipped in Plum Sauce, Sweet & Sour Sauce, and Hot Chili Oil. While others at my table split a Large Won Ton Soup and enjoyed extensive Mu Chu Chicken Wraps and House Special Chicken with Broccoli, Diane addressed her well-constructed and sweet Honey Walnut Shrimp, and I concentrated my attention on Shrimp in Lobster Sauce and Kung Pao Three Flavors (Beef, Chicken and Shrimp). Everything was tasty and washed down with Hot Tea. We had a veritable Chinese feast. Service was attentive and responsive, and our reserved table for six in front of the aquarium was quite comfortable. This was probably our best experience here!

Or maybe they like the cuisine, but for health reasons they've been told to avoid eating it. I know for me I just haven't come around to a lot of Asian cuisines that are focused on high vegetable and low protein content. But to this day Toby and I have never shared a seafood boil together. She has a germaphobe reaction to eating food with her hands and there's no easy way to knife-and-fork stuff like shrimp, crawfish, crab, or lobster. She's offered to get something else like fish n' chips or a plain steak or something, while I get myself a boil. However, one of the joys of boils is digging into a mound of Cajun-flavored seafood together as a group effort. A wondrous temple to the art like Roux Seafood Kitchen would be wasted on her. I couldn't get enough of their shrimp and crawfish. They were both plump, flavorful, and disassembled easy in my hands. At a lb. each, I was more than stuffed at meal's end. I think the only thing that could've made it better is if I had ordered a lobster tail in there. That would've been my ideal order. The service was great here for my party. The drinks were refilled quickly, the food was brought out in an efficient manner, and even the order taking was controlled in what kind of have been haphazard conditions. I liked the ambiance too. The dining room was a spacious and accommodating. The music was low. And the crowds were busy but not super full, which is where I like it. Nobody was on top of each other at neighboring tables and the noise level wasn't drowning. All in all, I think this is the perfect example of a seafood boil joint. The only thing that could've made it better is if my oldest eating buddy (and ex) could've miraculously gotten over her condition and joined me. That's the dream.

Service was good and there's a decent amount of seating inside with cute little marine themed decor. Lobster roll combo with the soup ($32) - I got the Maine style (cold) lobster roll which had really good flavor and the amount of lobster was really nice. I wish they pushed the lobster down into the roll a little more instead of stacking it on top to make it look fuller because it made it a lot harder to eat. The side salad was okay. I liked the clam chowder a lot. Fries and tater tots were perfectly crispy! Flaming hot lobster fries ($25): This feels a bit overpriced for what it is and kind of lackluster. Fries were good and crispy but the cheese wasn't melted well. Lobster is thrown on there and I think it would be better with cheeto dust versus the random cheetos thrown on top. Fish tacos ($15): You get three tacos which is decent pricing. The fish was crispy and flavor is basic but good. All in all, a good spot to get your lobster roll fix without having to drive too far!

Along with that, our table also ordered: the quail with sticky rice ($20.99), salted fish and shrimp fried rice ($24.99), shaken beef with garlic noodles ($22.99), bok choy with sautéed garlic ($12.99), a hot tea ($4.00), Coca-Cola ($5.50), a mojito ($15.00), and a margarita ($15.00). With tax ($17.71), our ticket was $209.16 before gratuity. The NOLA Grilled Oysters come sizzling on a hot griddle, with four different fillings, four pieces each, for a total of 16 oysters. The price might seem a bit indulgent, but not if you consider the effort and ingredients that go into this presentation. Each type was flavorful, and there wasn't a single one I didn't enjoy. The salted fish fried rice was an interesting experience. I enjoyed the dish, though the salted fish was less salty than I expected. Someone in our group, who usually doesn't like salted fish fried rice because they find it too salty, actually liked this version for its milder flavor. The plate also includes four large shrimp. The shaken beef was tasty and tender; the garlic noodles were al dente and had just enough garlic--not excessive. The sautéed garlic added a smoky, nutty taste to the bok choy. The quail was marinated well and tasted good--but I wonder if it was fried just a bit too long. After this meal, I chatted with a friend who lives in the community. He'd been to this spot before but dismissed it as just another seafood boil joint. After our conversation, though, he said he'd be willing to give it another shot. My father had a medical emergency that morning and went to the ER with my mother. We could not keep the full reservation. I immediately called the restaurant to cancel 2 spots since it was a legitimate last minute emergency. 4 of us did come to the dinner since we prepaid and I was getting very sketchy vibes about refunds. Clearly my spidey senses were accurate since I never heard back from anyone about a refund for the 2 meals and I'm out $230. Over the phone the manager told me it was fine. I showed up and asked the Host about it and she deferred to the manager. The manager came to our table and said he'd figure it out & work on refunding the 2 reservations. After dinner, I followed up & he said he has to talk to 'higher ups'. I called the manager a couple of times to follow up in the week following the dinner. He said he's trying to figure it out with the hotel. I also emailed the hotel who did not respond to my email at all. I called the hotel number on the reservation and left a message, who did not return my call. It's been 1.5 months and I haven't heard back from anyone. When we got there the restaurant was largely empty. We didn't even need reservations for the Father's Day special dinner. The Father's Day special dinner was offered to everyone who came to the restaurant, with or without pre-paid reservations. I made the reservation because the Mother's Day brunch is usually full so I thought it would be the same for Father's Day and my husband really wanted to go. As far as the food goes, it was OK. Maybe I don't know what a ribeye is supposed to taste like, maybe it was a bad ribeye, maybe it's because I always get a filet, but I was underwhelmed, 3-stars at best. They had this mushroom ravioli type course that was good. Dessert, as I recall was good. None of it was worth $115 per person. To be fair our server was very pleasant. The manager was pleasant as well, however, I still haven't heard back from the manager or the hotel about a refund for 2 of the meals. It has been over a month and neither the manager nor the hotel have returned my calls or emails to resolve this issue. Three-stars for our meal. For $115 per person, I expect much better. One-star for customer service.
