It's legit-really-bad. Changed hands several times over the last 10 yrs (that i've paid attention). Most recent proprietors actually used to do a much better job, but things have gone so far downhill that I'm wondering "did they change hands again?" but actually they did not. The people are actually very nice and the service is good. But the food is just plain weak. Reminds me of Faygo -- take 100% of the ingredients you need to make a good, flavorful, sweet, bottle of soda .... but instead you make two bottles out of it. This is the same but with Chinese food. Seriously, the General Tsao's is *so watered down*... You could go to a "good" Chinese restaurant -- (good luck finding one around here) -- and say "Make me General Tsao's but water it down please", and it would not be as watered-down as the sauce they serve you at Panda. Just telling it like it is. Prices don't mean anything when every bite makes you go "why did I buy this?!" They sell gacha junk there now, tho, so.... We ordered in person. Its pretty chilly inside the waiting area today. Our First time trying this place. I swear the order was ready in 10 mins or less. I was surprised. I ordered shrimp and lobster sauce, shrimp fried rice and sesame chicken all three were pretty loaded with a soy sauce brine to the point it was so salty it was inedible! I went to pick out the shrimp in my fried rice noticing they were not coated but not cooked either just thrown in. Avoid this brine at all or any cost! I know what brine is for. read more

It really kills me to leave bad reviews for local businesses. Ordered General Tso chicken through DoorDash from Panda, my fiancé also ordered the same thing. Mine tastes like dirt and hers tastes like fish. Was not good. The food was also way too mushy. I was nervous to continue eating it and just ate the extremely bland "fried rice" that came with the meal since I was starving. Terrible terrible terrible! Rude employees working at the window. I placed my order through their website and received a confirmation email. 30 minutes later, I call to check on my order since no one called me. Only to be told that they didn't have my order and that the website was down. (Lmao I ordered and received a confirmation email from a down website) So, I made a call in order. I get there and paid for my food. I didn't get charge back so I asked, "Why is the charge different than the first order?" If you are looking for a $ 9.50 box of fried rice with little to no meat or vegetables, rude impatient service, and a refusal to remake your order when it is wrong then this is the place for you. I really enjoyed the price and quantity of food this restaurant offered when it first opened. But three years on and this restaurant is in complete decline. My most recent and subsequently last order was chicken with broccoli, snow peas and mushrooms in a spicy sauce. I ordered a double portion of this for $9.50 and this was a dinner order that comes with chicken fried rice and an egg roll. Now the last few orders I had made seemed to be about 2lbs of rice with very little meat or vegetables in the dinner, so this time I decided to order a double for three dollars more as I am not a big fan of rice. Unfortunately instead of receiving more chicken and vegetables I got a huge box full of rice with a small pile of shredded chicken and paper thin slices of vegetables, most of which were onions. When I called and explained to them that I did not want 10$ worth of rice and asked if they would take back the box of rice and replace it with the chicken and vegetables they rudely told me that's what came with the order and refused to remake it. Does not resemble Chinese food. Not edible. They need to be shut down. I made the mistake of ordering off Uber Eats - thinking this was Panda Express. Several missing items and the quality was scary. Cashew shrimp had 3 quarter size rubber shrimps and 3 tiny cashew halves with the rest being some sort of slimy brown sauce with bean sprouts and a ton of tasteless whitish veggie stems. If they just refunded me for this nightmare, I would have just let it pass - but they refused. Apparently tricking people with their name has been working for them. Don't be fooled. read more

Last month I was there and my card was overcharged by a few dollars but I didn't get a copy of my receipt. This restaurant has glaring issues re. cleanliness and hygiene (note a review and photo here about hair found in food!) For further example: the phone they take orders on is gray grimy of dirt. Same person answering that thing is changing money and back and forth into prep area, assisting in cooking and packaging the food. Nasty! Additionally, the staff allow their small children in front area -- not professional. That front area not looking too clean either! Looking beyond thru the door to the food prep area was FAR, far worse - but at least you can see that bedlam and leave fast! PRICEY and very, V-E-R-Y DIRTY! Umm, I'll not be returning. As posted by others here a visit by the local health inspector is in order, quickly! This place is located in a nice commerce area with high traffic of customers passing thru for various services from varied businesses. And maybe this place gets the 'captive audience' from that. But I feel this carry out Chinese restaurant needs to step it up to meet the core standards of basic food service for a broader base of customer. read more

The food is OK but the conditions of the restaurant are appalling. It looks like a family runs the place and tucked into a corner in the kitchen were a gaggle of children, making noise and seemingly dirtying the place up. The remainder of the restaurant (which is really just a take-out counter) was in pretty dirty shape, too. The menu is standard Chinese American fare. However, you'd be better off across Gratiot at Happy Garden (22412 Gratiot). There, you can at least be seated, and you don't have the obvious worry about food contamination from dirty children. I dunno. Everything about this placed just screamed UNSANITARY from the moment I walked in. I gave it another chance a few weeks after the first time I got carry-out from there, but it was the exact same scenario the second time. So you won't see me there again. It's just too risky. Rating 2.75 stars I've been to this place about 3 times. The first time a few weeks after it opened the fried rice was kind of waxy and the sesame chicken was soggy like it was reheated or something. The second time I was there last year I found it interesting that the cooks watch TV while they cook but at least my mu shu beef was pretty good. I should have ordered extra pancakes though. This winter I got something called pepper chicken. It's kind of like chicken nuggets w/ a nice dose of pepper. It was ok. I won't order it again though. I have ordered for pickup here several times, with my father picking up the food for us. I generally get beef/chicken fried rice, beef and broccoli, and fried wontons. My father getting orange chicken and white rice. We both really have enjoyed the food from them, though sometimes the portions are a bit smaller than they were another time, and sometimes a little bigger. Overall I like the portions even if there is maybe a tiny bit less in some cases. The food I've gotten taste good, and usually lasts me another two meals. I have never been to the restaurant in person, and my dad hasn't mentioned anything bad about the looks of it, so I can't attest to the cleanliness of the place. He says that they have been friendly with him, and he is often humored by the music playing in the restaurant. The place has even been kind enough to trade out my white rice in my beef and broccoli for beef fried rice or chicken fried rice, and has often given us extra white rice on the side with no charge. My only complaint is with delivery. It was a little slow considering I only live about one mile from the place. However 30-40 minutes is a fairly standard wait. Pickup is definitely loads faster however. Over-all, I would recommend picking up food, but if you can't, and don't mind the wait time, then it's okay. The food was still very good. And the delivery driver was very nice, but definitely rattled me a little. He started talking about michigan being out of the loop, and planet earth, and how we need to get back in the loop. And that michigan kids are dumber now. It was strange - he wasn't scary, but I definitely didn't really want to have a five minute conversation standing at my door. My favorite quote from the guy is "I am not from Michigan, I'm from EARTH." The prices are good, $13+delivery for beef fried rice, beef and broccoli, and fried wontons is really good. food is really good, just don't take forever to pick up your food cause it will get soggy like the sesame chicken or tso chicken. Another thing, they are a carry out restaurant not a dine in, so that means they wont have paper plates of any fancy silverware. youll need to get up and grab all the things u need like forks/napkins etc. been eating there since they opened and still satisfied. just go, order, wait, and go home or u can eat there. if there's something wrong u can tell them and they can make you a new on just don't be so complicated and and it will be easy as 123. i recommend the almond chicken really good with the gravy. also the Singapore mei fun really really tasty. read more

We received a a flyer menu in the male 2 days ago we. Ordered tonight they flyer says that dinner is $7.50 and a double dinner is $9.50. So I ordered General tso dinner at $7.50 and a double Almond Boneless Chicken at 9.50 and and extra egg roll for $1.20 if my math is correct it comes to $18.20 plus delivery. When asked for the price they had to call back. When they did they told us that is would be over $30. When we asked why they said the prices were .50 to 1.00 more then what is advertised. And we were told that all the prices were mistakes. So we cancel the whole order MY MOTHER ASKED HOW SOMETHING THAT WE JUST GOT 2 DAYS AGO COULD BE A MISTAKE THEY HUNG UP ON HER. 45 mins later someone shows up it's the food delivery with the food we canceled and it is only 1/2 of the order too.
