My wife and I came here for a date night. Unfortunately, I can't say anything about the food or quality because when the waitress came to take our drink order , she snapped her fingers and said "let's go let's go come on" 5 whole seconds after asking what we wanted to drink. We were both SHOCKED, panicked, and said water. After this encounter, we got up and walked out. It almost didn't feel real. There are people in this world who stutter or have some communication impairments that delay an instantaneous answer that she was NEEDING in that second. Omg!!!! Ordered from GrubHub. The food is excellent. The pepper wings are just melt in your mouth and just the right amount of heat. The fried rice is fresh and delicious and the bbq pork strips are tender and flavorful. I have found a new Chinese place to replace my neighborhood one that closed. Very disappointed with the customer service and treatment I received on my phone order. I called in to give it a try and they made errors on my order and I didn't know it until I got home. Overall the food was not bad, but VERY pricy. They made mistakes and I asked to come back and get a refund on some of the plates I ordered because they were not what I wanted. Lady on the phone didn't care and told me I could come back and get the plates I originally order but no refund. We all were starving so we ate and I had no interest in getting plates that should have been made right the first time. Overall, I gave three stars because the food that was right was good. Just know, it's expensive and don't leave without asking to see your order first. read more

My sister and her boyfriend wanted to eat Chinese food at a different place, so they chose to eat here. Even though it is "authentic" Chinese food, I can't help but feel it's Americanized as opposed to places like Royal Mandarin and Panda Palace. This restaurant is the "Panda Express" of Chinese restaurants, in my opinion. For those who live in Santee or close to it and have only had Chinese cuisine at this restaurant, I feel for them because they probably think this place is the best thing ever. What I enjoyed is how they give you free tea. Most Chinese restaurants nowadays don't do that (anymore), unfortunately. They also give you free chips, which is something a lot of restaurants do/still do, but the dipping sauces are not the greatest. One is of a spicey honey mustard, and the other tasted like apple sauce--I think it is apple sauce based. I wasn't too fond of either, though. The hosts don't look like hosts. I'm not saying they have to be in suits and slacks, but a flannel and jeans is not the most appropriate attire for a restaurant. The server didn't have much customer service. It's not that he was mean, but he wasn't nice either. Simply put: he was just there to serve us and just asked us what we wanted to order. Nothing more to it. The food came out quick and hot. It was good, but not the greatest Chinese food. The two dishes we ordered were: steaming beef with broccoli and a dish with shrimp, beef, and chicken and broccoli. For the sake of brevity, I have been here numerous times. The last time was at least a couple of years back. Ordered the family dinners: hot and sour soup, wontons, crispy beef, crispy shrimp, chicken. It was tasty. Real tasty. However upon return home, the three of us slowly began vomiting multiple times, and urinating out of our posteriors with violent force. It's 5 AM and it started around 9PM. This business produces bland almost flavor free take out. While the order arrived earlier than expected the wife was not happy with her portion. The seafood soup is nothing more than egg drop soup. When we called the "customer service" person told us that the seafood was chopped up very fine . Their customer service was actually fairly rude and dismissive. The rest of the order was executed with the bare minimum of effort and attention to detail. They have no idea what the term "spicy" means. Nevertheless after how they spoke with my wife on the phone during the call about the problem with the order we won't be ordering from here again. Ordered over $100 in food from them because had good food in past . However, this giant pile of food was almost inedible. I ended up throwing out a lot of it. Moldy tasting zucchini in both hot and sour soup, and in the Kung pan beef,bad. Why zucchini in either of those? Both the pork egg foo young, and spicey eggplant with pork had no pork! Second time I've ordered delivery from here and spent over $50 to be completely underwhelmed. Most recently I ordered the Yang Chow Fries Rice, Pot Stickers and Salt And Pepper Chicken Wings. The fried rice was almost inedible because it was undercooked and contained very little protein. Pot stickers were ok, but instructions were not followed to pan fry them. It's a smaller place with your standard Chinese decor and music playing. It's a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. They started us off with a plate of wantons. For the meal we got the Three Item Taste and the Sesame Chicken lunch special. It look deceptively small when it arrived but it was very filling. I contemplated for 4 days writing this review. I'm sad to update that this restaurant was sold. I've been coming here since 97. Had my first date here, ate here everyweek during my pregnancy, these people felt like family. Same staff everytime, same great food. It was home. It was recently sold over what I heard someone say a nasty divorce. The food has changed 100% the wrong direction. Portions much smaller and service just eh. They forgot my soup then charged me for it and messed up my order. I will sadly never return back to this place.. which is what made my last meal here so upsetting. Saying goodbye to restaurant doesn't seem like a big deal, but it was a huge part in my life. I'm so happy we came here! I'm not sure why they don't have 5 stars, but our experience today definitely was. Every single thing we ate was prepared fresh and was delicious. You can tell that everything is made there and nothing was previously frozen. The cream cheese wontons were spectacular and we had the twinkle walnut shrimp which is their take on honey walnut and it was 10/10.
