I went last night and it's the worst Chinese food ever. The fried rice is dry and not tasty at all. I got the new beijing beef, which taste fine but within 10 minutes of eating some I broke out in hives all around my mouth. I eat very spicy food on a regular basis so there is no reason why I should have an allergic reaction...something isn't right. Anyway, I also got the chicken egg roll that wasn't fully cooked (the doughy layers were very visible) and the veggie spring egg rolls that appeared to be steamed instead of fried. It was disgusting! I have been to the place almost every week. Most of the time food is good as well as the service. Recently it starts going downhill. More than 50% of the time, white rice was undercooked and half raw. Today was the worst. My kid's meal was horrible. Rice was not cooked well and was very hard. Grilled teriyaki chicken looked like scrap that you would throw away and was charred burnt. Would like to see some improvement because we love the food when it is good. read more

My experiences with with Panda Express has always been pretty average but my girlfriend and I stopped by this one and were extremely impressed. The cashier Ruth was extremely polite and helpful and even checked on us twice in the lobby while we were eating to see if we needed anything, which is not an experience I have had before at a Panda Express. While eating there I noticed the kitchen was extremely clean and the food was exceptionally fresh. I also noticed that an employee named Lauren was temperature checking all the food and throwing away what was not warm enough. I have never seen a fast food restaurant do this before and I was delightfully surprised. TLDR; Great customer service and food. Good temperature testing of food and clean kitchen. I then had to wait because they had to cook one of the items. It ended up taking over 40 minutes to get an order that would have taken 5 had I not ordered online. This place has gone down hill since my last review. The vegetables were a mixture of over cooked vegetables and raw vegetables as if the cook didn't make enough and added more at the last second. The Lo Mein noodles were dry and under seasoned. Half of their selections were out. The wait time for them to replace the missing dishes was so long that customers were walking out after having set up half of their plate. And I watched as a line cook used a paring knife to open a cardboard case; then, he used the same knife to open the bag of chicken inside and used the knife on the food without cleaning it to decontaminate it. After hearing so much negative about Panda Express I found myself near one and really wanting some decent Chinese food. I didn't find it at Panda Express. The food (chow mein/string bean chicken breast) was disappointing. In fact the only thing I remotely enjoyed was the over cooked rangoon-because it wasn't sweet or crabby, only chives and cream cheese but the spring rolls were inedible. Really disgusting. Worst garbage food ever. Spring rolls and egg rolls are obviously made somewhere else, frozen and then fried. The insides were mushy and tasted like freezer burn. Love this place. I've been here a good five times since they've opened. The line can be long at times but we never have to wait long. The food is always fresh and hot. The staff is super friendly, the portions are big, and the price is great. The seating is great for couples or large groups. The place stays clean and the bathrooms haven't been dirty yet! I got the rice with egg in it, which I can't remember the name now and I had the option of choosing 2 things to go with it. I paired it with chicken and veggies and I'd have to say. It was alright. Veggies we good and so was the chicken I enjoyed those, the rice was what was throwing me off a little bit. I've never had egg in my rice so that was probably it. I usually come to this Panda Express in Allen Park and see this particular worker named Ashley there. Today she was serving me, my mother, and my close friend. Right from the start Ashley had seemed to be in a bad mood which is totally understandable. The only thing i did not appreciate is that when my mother would ask her questions about the food, Ashley would repeatedly respond with attitude and harshness. I can understand that Ashley was in a bad mood but that is absolutely not an excuse to be rude to the costumers, ESPECIALLY not my mother. I ignored her attitude and we continued on with our order. As we got to the register there were two registers and one of them had change in them which I assumed was for my mother considering we were waiting for our change, so i took it. I then realized it was for a different costumer, I apologized, and gave the change back to Ashley. As she walked away she shook her head in disgust which was really disrespectful considering it was a mistake and i had apologized to her. However, we weren't the only ones who experienced Ashley's harshness. Other of her coworkers had then told us that they have been dealing with Ashley's attitude all day. So not only is she rude to my mother and her costumers, but she is also treating her coworkers badly! As we were on our way out the door, i said, "Bye Ashley!" who then rolled her eyes at me with an attitude. I am only giving the rating that I am bc they are really clean and that is usually what I worry about when I get Chinese food from your typically carry out restaurant. Otherwise it seems like every time we go it's later on in the evening around 7-8 and the staff is checked out for the night or just not on their a game. They usually take for ever to serve us and I hattttteeee the way their line is set up. They are trying to achieve a subway type concept for efficiency but in the end they just confuse the crap out of themselves and heavens forbid they get some one ordering something with an add on or modification --- it just throws the whole line for them. Seems like they need more practice. I will return again in a bit when they get the hang of their line system. read more

I have never seen a Panda Express managed more poorly then this one here in Allen Park. As a loyal customer to Panda Express I traveled during my lunch break from Romulus twenty minutes to just complete disappointment. ALL the tables in the restaurant were dirty unless someone wasn't currently seated at one. This was 7 pm at night on Sunday May 29th, 2016 and there were NO entrees available unless you wanted to wait ten minutes, almost every pan on display was empty or old! The lady at the counter takes the first part of my order and then runs down to the end of the line. I said "I have a few more orders for you" and she turns to me and says "next time let me know everything you need all at once so I can take care of it down there". I said "Can't ask me if I need anything else before you run off?" She rolled her eyes and moments later bolts out of the restaurant and you can clearly see her on break sitting in the phone in her car. Is this how Panda Express trains their employees to react to a negative customer interaction? It was handled so badly by the young lady a gentlemen named Chris stepped in and apologized and really did a great job of calming me down. I was going to pull a a manger out of the back but I really don't want to get someone in trouble, maybe she was having a bad day? Chris handed me a free voucher as a gesture and I respect the offer but I'll never eat at another Panda Express again after this experience, I will encourage all friends and family to do the same. Terrible experience! I've tried to go twice since this location has opened (a week ago) and both times I was highly disappointed. The first time I tried going the sign said open, but the store wasn't actually open. This time I figured they have had enough time to get their act together so again I tried to get food here. The inside portion of the store was cleaned and locked up while only 6:30, when their sign says they are open until 9 and there was about 10 or more employees inside the store cleaning everything as if they were already closed. I decided maybe only drive through was open for some reason so I attempted that option. I was greeted with a hand written sign that said their was no rice until 6 (it's past 6 athe this point) then the friendly person comes on and asks for my order. As I start to proceed with my order the lady on the other end tells me they are in fact the out of everything except shrimp and beef. I am a huge fan of Panda Express but after these experiences I may go out of my way to go somewhere else even though I live less than a mile from this location. read more
