I was shocked... Never in my whole Panda Express eating life has my mobile order ever been ready by the time I got there to pick it up. But it was ready & waiting for me here, just minutes after me putting in my order. It was yummy too. The broccoli & veggies were cooked nicely, not overdone. I just wish all Panda Express locations would stop using old man smelling soap in their bathrooms. It makes me sick. I had to wash my hands 3 times at other places after to get the smell off my hands. read more

I would rate it higher but the food was lukewarm to almost cold. Kind of matched the temperature of the restaurant. The soda machine doesn't work. Only room temperature water or bottle beverages. The music was so loud you couldn't carry on a conversation. It was like going to a club. read more

I went here for the first time in a long time, was pleasantly surprised! The quality of the food was so MUCH BETTER than my previous visit! Everything was freshly prepared and hot! I tried the Honey sesame chicken, which was very good ,& my go to the Honey walnut Shrimp; both were great! And KUDOS to whoever figured out that fried rice DOES NOT need ONIONS!!! It too was freshly made seasoned well with actual egg in it! I'd give it 5 stars, but so many of the dishes have onions in them... when onions are a deadly allergen , it's hard to find good places to eat on the go and get halfway healthy food... Coming in, door was locked, went to other door, told employees door was locked, they proceeded to argue it wasn't as several others couldn't open it either, because it was indeed locked. I haven't been to Panda Express since March - not because there is anything wrong, but because it's always so busy. Tonight, the drive they was short, and the person taking my order was great at explaining what was still available, etc. I placed my order, paid, got my meal and left in under 10 mins. Imagine my surprise when I got home, handed the McDonalds over to the kids and opened up my meal to find 1 very tiny piece of beef in my beef and broccoli! I was so sad, because the flavor and the sauce are with the beef! So basically I had a side of crunchy broccoli with some Honey Sesame Chicken and white rice. Basically a waste of money. read more

Mediocre and over priced Fake Chinese food. Stopped by the Drive through one evening,Wife wanted to try it. Payed an up charge for the walnut shrimp wich after getting home and eating it had a mushy consistency and rubber textured shrimp. Generals chicken was Luke warm and lacked any type of spice, or kick. The wife's shrimp was equally depressing and the sauces less Orange chicken she had was equally dull. Rice room temperature. Been to this place multiple times and they are always out of chow mein, orange chicken, string bean chicken and Dr pepper. They are very rude and they lock the inside doors so you can't go inside. I have tried atleast a dozen times to go back because I love panda express but this one is the worst one ever. read more

We ate there on Fathers Day. There was only one guy dishing up the food and having to take the money as well. Took a long time to get to us. We ordered the Steak and Shrimp for $1.25 extra. All I got was a few pieces of steak NO shrimp and tons of potatoes. My husband got ONE shrimp and a little more steak than I did but also a lot of potatoes. The serving were small. Coming from Montana where our portions are big. We won't be going back. Well I have to give a shout out to Robert from Panda Express. He made it good for the problems my husband and I had. I got food poisoning earlier this week off of what I believe to be the super greens or Kung pao chicken because that was the only difference in my boyfriend and I's food. So I don't even want to give them a 1. I was up all night feeling like shit. I have sent an email to the company and personally called this restaurant and was told the general manager would call me back. That was two days ago and still haven't heard back. Our meal was a disappointment. We stopped by around 4:30 and the food appeared to have been sitting since lunchtime and did not taste fresh. They were out of fried rice and the toppings that were left in the pan were almost gone, so we got the last of the batch. Obviously, food should only be served fresh, not hours after it was made, and a Chinese restaurant should not run out of fried rice just before the dinner hour. In fairness, we are passing through town and this is a one time experience, so perhaps we just stopped at a bad time. But if this is the norm, then better supervision/management is needed to ensure a more enjoyable preparation of their food. read more

But the staff working at this particular location are always cold and don't have good communication skills, just telling you the cost and handing the food to you. This is quite literally the slowest panda in des moines. They can only handle one order at a time. You have 10 cars in the drive thru but you take one order at a time, dish them up, then take the next order? Delicious! Keep in mind, this is fast food. This is not traditional Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, all sorts of culinary delights that most westerners can't tell the difference. I've eaten inside, very clean, traditional line that runs kind of like a Subway shop. Small dining area, but what's a place to do about that? I've gone through the drive-thru on many occasions, they never jack me on napkins or utensils or the like. Staff is always friendly, smiling and genuinely seem to really like their jobs. My FAVORITE thing (besides the Orange Chicken and Spring Rolls with Fried Rice) is the app. Order, pay, pick up in the drive up. My bestie swears by the Teriyaki chicken too! read more

I am spreading this near, far and wide about my experience with Panda Express today. A Manager laughed at me, mocked me and hung up the phone on me when trying to get answers. I ordered through your app. The order was canceled. I called to ask why and they said it wasn't canceled. I called Door Dash. Door Dash says the dasher showed up at Panda Express and said they never got my order. I call Panda Express again. This is when the manager is laughing at me and mocking me saying the order wasn't canceled and is just sitting there. Tells me I need to call Door Dash again. I call Door Dash again and they say that Panda needs to assign a dasher. I call Panda again and the lady keeps asking me to pick up my order and won't let me even talk. I asked her to stop talking for a second and listen to me and then she hung up the phone. The store then wouldn't answer at all. Now the order shows completed but it's not completed. I. Love. Panda. Express. I was trepidicious since this location for some reason has a lower rating but I shouldn't have been. In fact it is one of the better locations I've been to! Every dish was hot and fresh. The staff were friendly.. and a little talkative. Hah! The line to get food moved a bit slowly and it could have been a contributing factor but it could have been the customers too. They weren't out of any of the things I love about Panda Express like the chili sauce and the tables that were open were clean. The primary reason I deduct a star is that my bejing beef didn't taste like bejing beef! It was hot and seemed good quality/plenty of sauce but it had zero spice and I really think there was some fundamental flavor missing. I would come here again. read more

On several occasions, they have not had the meal I requested, even with a limited menu. Today, I waited 15 minutes in line to place my order and was told they did not have any string bean chicken or honey sesame chicken. They then suggested a meal I am not interested in. They also do not have signs on their doors stating their dining room is closed. This is a chain, and I agree with the previous review about "expect Mall Food Court quality." They had a "new" entree item: Orange chicken with bacon. Um....... Chinese food does NOT include bacon! The server laughed and said, "um, yeah, we Americanized it." I ordered three entrees and a side, that was too much, couldn't eat the third entree. My third entree was the orange chicken with bacon, it was good, just couldn't eat it all. The drink selection was all bottled drinks, I was disappointed in the limited selections. Finally settled on SOBE Strawberry Daquiri, although I love SOBE's this was not one of my favorites. I saw a sign that said that they do catering. Interesting! Went through the drive thru and was told it would be 6 min for "fresh" food. Pulled up to wait and after 15 min a man brought the wrong food out and rudely shoved it in my car window. Then went to a different car and realized he brought the wrong food to that car and came back to my car acting like it was my fault he had given out the wrong food. Got my order and glanced to make sure it was right. Got home about ten min away and the noodles were dry. There was hardly any beef in my beef and broccoli. I also had an order of 3 crab Rangoons and only one of them actually had cream cheese in it the others were empty. The quality of the food was humiliating to the company as was the service. Being an avid eater to large varieties of Chinese food, I can say Panda Express food is not bad for American-Chinese fast food. Every table not in use was dirty and remained that way throughout the entirety of our visit. The floor hadn't been swept in awhile and the garbages were overflowing.
