Anyone else experience health violations with Panda Express employees? My husband just went and picked up our online order(great deal at $3 off), and while he was waiting in line, he watched and spotted at least 10 health code/food safety violations. NOT OKAY. The food is good. But if the lady serving you at the Auburn location does not like you, she will intentionally give you smaller portions of certain parts of your dishes. Like she will give you alot of chow mein or rice, but only 5 honey walnut shrimp(when you already have to pay more to include this in your plate) I love Panda but I go to the auburn location rarely because of the staff making your dishes. If the lady gives the que to the other staff that she does not approve of you, then the other staff will make you wait just to pay for your dish after it's already been made with the smaller portions your plate was already reduced to. ( if you've ever seens Seinfeld's episode of 'the Soup nazi', this is the same thing) Someone holding your food hostage or denying you your food, because they don't like you.) read more

There was a very rude woman in front of me today, but the Auburn staff handled her as best as they could. Nothing was going to make her happy! I thought all the staff were great, the food was wonderful and Sophia W. was TERRIFIC! She did her best to assist the cranky woman but again, nothing was going to make her happy. I love that Auburn has a Panda Express! I love they're food, especially for the price. The serving size is really good too! I recently had a great experience there! After I recurved my food that I'd ordered via mobile app, (which they all did on time!) my hands were full of food, soda, toddler and baby in car seat. A sweet worker who was washing windows, stops what she was doing and offers to carry my car seat which was the heaviest item! I gladly obliged and she held the door open and walked to my car with me and even set him in the car for me. So kind of her! The only reason I didn't give a five star review is because most times we go in there, the tables are dirty and so is the floor. Just needs to be kept up with the cleanliness. Please bring back the sweet fire chicken PLEASE! I was shocked when I went to panda today and found out it was no longer available. I ordered another chicken entree and it wasn't as good. This was our families go to weekly game night dinner. I know I wasn't the only person that ordered sweet fire cuz the tray was usually almost empty and I had to wait for more. Rather disappointing visit. My kid loves Panda though, so we went and she was happy to be going. The wait was long. My kid ordered the kid meal as always. They didn't give us the included cookie so I asked about it. The cashier said they were out of cookies. And I said, "but one is included with the kid's meal". I get running out of things, but she could have at least offered us something in its place. I didn't feel like pushing it since the line was very long. This is a follow-up to my review of 3/29/2019 when I was shorted food on a takeout order. The next day (after they returned the phone to the cradle) I was able to call and speak with Rashel about the incident. She apologized and said that I would have "a free plate in the managers box when I came in the next time with my name on it". Long story short when I went in for the free plate no one could find the tag and the server did not know any Rashel's that worked there. The situation was really uncomfortable and yes I walked away paying for another plate. The $8 is not the issue. The issue is the sheer incompetence of the people running the place and egregious lack of customer service training. Will I go back? This review is mostly for the location manager - I second the irritation others have expressed recently regarding having to wait for food at the opening at 11:00 am. You should be ready for business when those doors open. There's no excuse for having to wait 10 minutes while the basic chow mein is cooked. What it causes is a backlog on the line and your servers get confused and often serve people out of order, which really infuriates those that are still waiting. Second issue is consistency in the size of portions. Your servers all have different ideas of a serving size. I buy the walnut shrimp often; sometimes I get 5, sometimes 9. I often split with my wife. Not getting an even number is not the issue but for the extra money for a delicious side, there's a big difference between 5 shrimp and 9 shrimp. Same with other sides which are less easily quantified. Give some training; perhaps use a ladle and teach how to level it off so everybody is treated the same. But remember please ... a healthy spoonful is always appreciated by the customer. The food tastes great and the price is very reasonable. That's what brings me ... all of us ... back. read more

Well, this place definitely needs new employees. Tonight the first girl we were greeted by was in a very bad mood. My mom and I felt like we upset her by just coming in. The food was not very flavorful, very dried out and greasy. They were out of some soda and some poor lady wanted to give her soda cups back because the sodas she wanted were out. She was going to "pay it forward" by giving the next people in line the money she paid for the drinks with or just give them the soda cups she paid for and the girl at the cashier was like, I can't do that. I was so disappointed, what has happened to just being kind and serving others? But the best thing that happened tonight was when I went in to refill my water. The girl that checked us out at the cash register was helping customers and yelled over at the other girl (the one who helped us with our food when we came in) and said "come ring up these people!" Then the one girl walks out of the break room and looks at the cook and sticks her tongue out at the one helping customers with their food. Wow! So professional and definitely makes me want to return. (Sarcasm). Hopefully they shape up, I used to love Panda Express. Oh, and turn the A/C down!!! read more

The worst service I have ever experienced! We went into P.E. on Saturday evening. The first person waiting on us, Kaia, was the rudest I have ever encountered. Since wouldn't explain anything to us and just pointed at the board. Not to mention she yelled at the customers, for no reason whatsoever. My husband, who has the patience of a saint, actually told her to leave her attitude at the door or don't work there. The others were trying to be helpful, particularly Brandon. However the cashier didn't even know how to run credit cards. The food is way too mediocre to ever go back. I don't understand how the owner or manager could run a business so poorly and expect to stay in business. Speaking of manager, why wasn't there one on site that night. It was the busiest time on the busiest night of the week. We are happy to tell everyone of our bad experience and steer them away from this terrible restaurant. read more

Bring a coat or sweater. It's seriously freezing in this place. End of November and AC is on full force.I complained and heard at least three other customers complain to staff. Apparently the cooks like it cold because it is hot working the line so staff just shrugs it off. I can relate to this as I have worked in the food service industry and the kitchen can get pretty hot. However, I don't think the customers should have to sit in an ice box and shiver through their meal. It's like trying to eat your lunch while sitting in a walk in freezer. Its seriously that cold. My friend and I stopped by to order take out yesterday, April 18th. There was no line so we expected a short wait. We ordered a 2 item meal and a 3 item meal. Also asked for extra mustard and chili sauce. After a lengthy wait our name was called. While paying, a customer was very upset and complaining about her order. Red flag!!! When we got home and opened the bag we were shocked at the sizes of our meals. The meals were both in a very small styrofoam box. Much smaller than their normal take out boxes. The quantity of food was child size. We paid regular prices for child size meals. There was 2 packets of chili sauce, 1 packet of soy sauce and no mustard. Very sad!!! 8:20pm tonight, everything is almost filled to the brim except for the 2 main staples, fried rice & chow mein! So I had to wait 5 min for chow mein to be cooked. I only get a 30min lunch There was only one employee up front & visible. Then after a few min 3 people walk out of the back. This is the second week in a row when I come in to get food and the same two employees are on break at the same time, just sitting there while the other two employees are trying to help the customers. Last week it was a wait of more than 15 minutes with only one person in front of me. This week, they ran out of steamed veggies and both of the employees on break were they only ones who could make them. Who allows breaks to happen at the same time when those are the only employees who can make food for the establishment?? Where do I start...the line was out the door, there were two girls working, one which almost feel twice and was as slow as a snail. They didn't have any of the fresh choices I wanted. Panda Express - Chinese Near Me - Auburn, California

I made an order online for my dad but when my dad got to the store to pick up the food they looked for the order and then realized that someone had taken his order. The manager was pretty upset and remade his order. When my dad got home he noticed that they had gave him more zucchini than chicken for his kung pao chicken plates. This is frustrating not only because of the little amount of chicken but because they took even longer then anticipated. read more

I realize this Panda Express has only been open a few weeks and maybe they're still working out the kinks but we've been here twice now and the service seems to be getting worse. The line to order is horrendous, took us almost a half hour to even get to the counter! All of the tables were dirty and the young man that came to empty the overflowing garbage, walked right past with a cleaning rag and didn't clean any of the tables. I've been to this Panda about 10 times. It's always dirty. Employees don't seem to have the time to clean off any tables or the soda area. At this point, I always get my food to go because it's too gross to eat there. They are usually out of a lot of items and the line is slow. The employees seem overwhelmed. I have been to a lot of Panda Express locations, but none of them take care of my family, friends, and my experiences better than this one. For starters, I have always had friendly service behind the counter. There's one gal, Sophia, who has always gone above and beyond in doing little things to make people's day. If you're in and you see her, you're in for a good time. Secondly, and I'm not sure if these guys actually do anything differently, but the food at this Panda tastes better than when I go to other locals. I usually end up with bottom of the pot items if I try other places, but here they keep it fresh and moving. I definitely think this is my favorite Panda around, so head on in and enjoy! read more

I used to eat here all the time, I would order a panda bowl chowmein and orange chicken. It used to fill me up. A while ago they changed the size of their bowl to a smaller size. I get it that is happening everywhere right?! So i didn't go in for a long time because it wasn't worth the money. I just tried it today and now they don't even fill the smaller bowl all the way up. If you are in a hurry at lunch time go somewhere else. I have been to this location and 5 or 6 times and walked out a few times. They consistently only have 1 employee working the food line and 1 working the register, even with customers lined up past the entry doors. And when a cook puts a fresh food item on the counter the food line worker stops severing customers and replenishes the food. The food and employees are great but management needs to have 2 employees serving food during the busy lunch hour. read more

I have never been to such a unprofessional establishment in my life, this location makes Auburn look bad.
