There is a bathroom that you must ask for a key to. Once 1:30 rolled around, I was excited to try my sandwich given the great reviews, then came 1:40, then 1:50, and I did not have my sandwich until around 1:55. I worked in a sandwich shop for 3 years, so I know sometimes a wait is unavoidable and can recall dealing with rude customers, so I did not approach the staff regarding the wait. They were trying their best to accommodate the orders. However-- 35 minutes for 2 sandwiches, I think, is a little excessive. In the end, my sandwiches were spectacular, genuinely well crafted, and met (maybe even surpassed) my expectations. When I got back to my car, I noticed the worker (owner?) gave me a full sandwich despite me ordering half. I wasn't sure if this was purposeful as means of saying "our bad", or just a mistake, but I will say it left me in better spirits. If you have some extra time to kill, with friends etc., this is a must try. However, if you are on ANY sort of time restriction, I would not recommend stopping here. I'm sure this is not always the case, but as a stop on a long drive, I did not consider an extra 45 minutes for a sandwich. If the owners are reading this, I truly mean well and hope you know a long wait is a sign of success. Growth is inevitable!

Overall, I liked discovering this little spot. She seemed to be eager to help the party behind me, which is great but she had no finesse in her customer service. I believe she could've made my experience completely different and still acknowledge the people after me. She made it seem as if I'm less important of a customer than they were. She also didn't bag my 4th pie which was awkward because she gave me the bags there. I'll be back but I won't be in a hurry like I was before. These small personal nuances are what makes small businesses great. When you're client facing it's so important to know this. It doesn't take much to be kind or provide great service.

You can just tell that either they have so much business they don't care much about service or they're just not quite sure how to dial everything in to balance the front of house and kitchen delivery. If I have any specific suggestions to offer: tell your customers upfront about your kitchen wait times. Nobody wants to wait an hour for breakfast food. Make sure to follow up with your customers and ask them if they want anything else to drink besides water it seems like a really easy way to make extra money.

Names are called on the speaker and they have several windows to pick up at. Orders are placed inside or outside at the window. I ordered the Guido (pastrami burger), halfsies (family size of fries and onion rings, opted for waffle fries), and a vanilla twisty with heath bar. The Guido is excellent, but you have to know what you're in for. With the pastrami and the deli mustard, it tastes overwhelmingly like a pastrami sandwich and less like a burger. But the patty, cheese, and veggies do add something to it. It's also very messy, but it was delicious. The onion rings were excellent. They have that smooth batter style, sorta kinda like tempura. My wife prefers the panko style so she was more into the fries. For the fries, they were good but I'd probably opt for normal fries next time instead of waffle fries. I was expecting something somewhat similar to chick fil a, but these were a little on the thicker side and almost had the texture of potato wedges. I'm also not a big fry seasoning guy, and these were well seasoned. But that's a me thing. We still ate them all and you know when I come back I'm not leaving here without fries. The twisty was really good. I might be the only one, but I'm such a sucker for heath bar when I saw it on the menu I had to order it. The ice cream was really good quality. Had a great texture and taste. They were generous with the heath bar. I'm aware I took down a disgusting amount of food, but I think if I could change one thing I'd get the larger size of the twisty next time. It was really good. Wish they had a location closer than 30 mins up the hill, but that won't stop me. Note that my wife asked about the black bean patty and it has cheese in it so it is vegetarian but not dairy free or vegan. So if you go that way, there's that. I've been to hundreds of Weinerschitzels, by far my favorite fast food joint. Let me tell you this is by far the cleanliest, most attentive and best quality food of any of their establishments. I have never had service quite like here. They waited on me hand and foot and checked on how I was enjoying my food. Each and every employee. Thanks for the experience. I don't care how good the food is when an employeer routinly abuses and cheats their hard working employees I feel an obligation to those workers not to reward managment by giving them my business . I'm 61 years old and I can tell you from experiance that an employeer who does not value ther employees will not value thier custumers. Another patron sitting close to us pointed out 'you just can't get customer service like that nowadays'. This guy was just above and beyond normal customer service. He sets the bar pretty darn high for his other coworkers to match. Kudos for Anthony and his superiors for a job well done.

As I write this review, my stomach is grumbling because I'm still hungry. These kind of issue happen consistently here. This is probably my fifth time. Because of previous issues, my family and I usually drive all the way down to the Roseville Denny's instead. It's always consistent, the service is decent, and the food is done right. I don't understand how the Auburn/Newcastle location can't get it together, especially considering how great the location is and how easy it is to access. The fact that we're willing to drive an extra 25 minutes just to avoid this place says everything. I gave it one last shot tonight..never again. That was the nail in the coffin.
