As a Californian who grew up on Panda Express, I could not contain my excitement when I saw this location opening up! I seriously checked every week to see if they were open! Sure, this isn't "really" Chinese food, but if you're expecting authentic Chinese food at a place named Panda EXPRESS, you're playing yourself. If you're looking for something more authentic take the subway couple stops into the city and go to Chinatown. But if you're looking for a quick fix on that orange chicken and walnut shrimp, you know where to go. When I first moved to NYC I was so excited that there were so many Chinese takeout places but honestly, nothing compares to Panda Express. Sure, there are maybe 5 good take out spots in ALL of the city combined, but you KNOW what you're getting at Panda Express. I swear, they do take out best AND it's convenient, fresh and delicious! At this location, you can see them make the food right in front of your eyes. The service is great, it's never too crowded (at least in my experience) and the place itself looks clean AF. I recommend the walnut shrimp, orange chicken, beef and broccoli, and the black pepper chicken. You can get a side of noodles, fried rice or steamed veggies! Honestly, the best Chinese take out in the area, but again, I might be a little biased :). read more

As you all can probably tell, I like Chinese food a lot. Yes, I am always on the lookout for some good chinese food and I can definitely say Panda Express is known for good dishes. My favs are the sweet fire chicken, kung pao chicken, chicken teriyaki, and fire shrimp. I however was not a fan of the lo mein so I just stick to their fried rice as my side. They have brown rice option apart from the fried rice option which I got the regular brown rice and for a container it was soo filling. I do not recommend this restaurant at all. With a very hungry stomach, I ordered what seemed to be a visually apetizing meal of stir fried breaded chicken with pineapple chunks and fried rice. The chicken was like cardboard and it was tough. The fried rice grains were hard, even though it looked attractive. It did not have any taste of fried rice at all! I was very, very disappointed and I addressed my displeasur to the manager but he did nothing to resolve the issue. Today my husband and I decided to try Panda Express for the first time. We ordered some food and after some time it arrived. We sat to eat, but quickly realized there were no utensil. My husband walked over and politely asked for utensils. The cashier let him know they were getting some out. We waited after 10 minutes I came over to ask, where in the cashier quickly and harshly told me " I just told your husband its coming." Her tone was annoyed as if we were bothering her. Eventually the utensils were put out uncovered that means no plastic wraps in a cup in front of the register. I even attached a picture. We were not alerted, when I noticed I saw a kid playing with the utensils while their parents paid the bill. We found this to be quite unsanitary. We asked for the manager who was named Kiara. When asking for the manager the young cashier smiled sarcastically and laughed with the other associates and servers in the front in a belittling way said " Of course I'll get the manager.". Kiara the manager was not very helpful harshly claiming this is how it had always been, making us feel as if we were wasting her time. You could get better customer care at a gas station bodega. What a great concept! I loved the design of the space, low prices, and the assembly line that ensured the line of hungry customers kept moving. I liked the menu options, allowing me to choose the size of my meal, number of entrees, and size of my side order (full or half - allowing me to get 2 for 1). Your choices are as follows: bowl (1 entree and 1 side) starting at $8, plate (2 entrees and 1 side) starting at $9.10, or bigger plate (3 entrees and 1 side) starting at $10.60. The side orders are chow main, fried rice, mixed vegetables, white or brown steamed rice. My combo was the orange chicken (their signature dish: crispy chicken wok-tossed in a sweet and spicy orange sauce) with a half order of fried rice and mixed vegetables. I ordered the bowl, which was really a box for less than $9. I did not like the flavor of the orange chicken, but would definitely opt for something different next time like Kung Pao Chicken, Black Pepper Chicken, or even Sweetfire Chicken Breast. Seating area is fair, but given its proximity to academic institutions and high traffic commercial corridor, you might have to opt for take out rather than dining in. The food is what you would expect, almost everything is fried and overly sweet. The nice thing about this chain is you know what you're gonna get quality and flavor wise vs. rolling the dice with one of the side street Asian places. The Panda Express that I've tried in VA, NC, and even in airports have given better portions for the same price than the one here. Severely disappointed in that. Quality of food is quite consistent with that of the others I've tried. As authentic Chinese food as Taco Bell is for Mexican. First of all, this is Americanized Chinese fast food, so there's no way I will directly compare this Panda Express to the authentic Chinese food you can find in Chinatown or Flushing. This chain location has also just opened, so it's understandable that consistent service/quality control may take some time. That said, this was a disappointing experience. The food at this dedicated Panda Express location seems to taste better/have better quality (comparatively) than the Panda Express in malls back home. (Or has it just been THAT long since I've eaten General Tso's cousin, "orange chicken?") The location in the heart of Fulton Street is also convenient. The service is friendly, and seating is readily available. However, the service was extremely slow and non-adaptive. Waiting in a very short line (post-dinner rush) was like watching grass grow. The restaurant appeared properly equipped by staff, but it doesn't appear that these well-meaning employees have learned or been trained to operate and communicate as a team. There was not a single committed cashier, so I must've waited 10 minutes as the second person in line (so that the person who appeared to be a cashier could help the sole customer in front of me literally sample the entire restaurant and add to or edit his order again and again at the cash register). The people waiting behind me seemed pretty angry and frustrated as well, but maintained their politeness. By the time I took my order home, my food was more soggy that I would've liked. $12+ and extremely slow service doesn't bode well for a business when there are other more affordable and less time-consuming FAST food options or dedicated sit-down Chinese restaurants that offer a more authentic product. With the wealth of superior food options in Brooklyn, I'll probably wait a couple of months before considering coming back and re-evaluating. This being my first time at Panda Express, All the friendly young Ladies, were the reason I stayed and ate there. This place is fantastic. The food is good and the staff is super friendly. You can see the staff cooking in front of you, and you can see how well staff cleans equipment, so that is a plug. The location is quite small though and it seems popular to the point that there is a line... A very long line, which tends to go rather slow. If you stop by here, be sure to try their Orange chicken.. I think it's the best thing on the menu. It's strange though that Panda doesn't seem to carry soy sauce, or did I miss that? You can also find goodies in the front, such as: sauces and panda plushies, haha. Overall, good place, but I wish it was a bit bigger. I don't enjoy being in a crowded line :( read more

My third time giving this place a try. Welp, third time is not the charm. With the exception of the honey walnut shrimp, everything I have had from here is on the same level as frozen food meals. This actually reminds me of the frozen PF Chang meals. The saving grace for this place is the honey walnut shrimp. That honey sauce they are tossed in is sooooo yummy. Not too sweet, just right. I like they way it is fried and there's a whole shrimp in the batter, not minced shrimp meat. I would truly skip anything else here, most particularly the chow mein! Customer service was great, the honey orange chicken was good (though I was given a scant of it on my plate, but said nothing because I am shy to speak up like that), the chicken egg roll was good, the teriyaki was plentiful and phenomenal...but the fried rice was bland; but I have to admit that it was my fault because I did not sample it before taking it (they could add sesame oil for that popping street fair taste); but overall...it is good with quality and customer service. Just need to give a little more then a scant of servings, considering you pay about 15 dollars for a two entry plate; as I have had other Chinese restaurant lunch specials before that are pretty upscale that give great portions, service flavorful food for the same price. read more

I have been a huge fan of Panda Express since I've been here in New York and have been going to this location since it opened. People have always been friendly and overall I had really nice service. However tonight I went to panda and I have never seen a Panda Express with such poor service. I had an employee ignore me when I asked her a question. I had to wait 20 minutes maybe more for more orange chicken to be made. On top of this all it was very disorganized and I would not recommend coming to this location for anyone. read more

This is the best Panda Express I have ever been to i. my life. Sure the line is always long as hell BUT they have the kindest employees. One day I had my dog with me so I called in to juts ask if there was a way I could get food since I couldn't bring her in. Their angel of an employee let me order over the phone, came outside and help my dog for me while I went inside to pay and get my food, and then returned her to me. I never want to write a bad review, ever. But I have to make an exception in this case. Please keep in mind, this review is solely based off the rude customer service - the food is consistent with other Panda Express establishments. That being said, My husband, kids and I were hungry after coming from the movies and decided we wanted Chinese food. I remember passing Panda Express on the way to the movies. First strike - I asked a worker for the address (was going to have an Uber pick us up). She didn't know the address but the one nice young lady in the place helped us out. Then, I go to order and the young lady actually sighs when I'm asking a question. I told the customer behind me they can go ahead because I feel like I'm being rushed. Another young lady comes to serve me, and again - it's like if I ask a question, it's a problem. Then to top it off, I distinctly told the girl child that I have 4 orders, but she constantly asked "is that all" after each meal. Their attitudes just really turned me all the way off. read more

It is challenging to get in and out and good luck on trying to find a parking space.
