As far as Panda Expresses go this one was on point. I'm not saying Panda Express has great Chinese food, it doesn't, but you know what to expect. It is pretty consistent with its fast food Chinese, and the customer service was fast and friendly. This particular Panda was open late, and fully stocked with freshly made food. It has a large dining area for dining in, and we're quick to everything bagged up to go. The dissatisfaction comes in that they didn't have any fortune cookies. The efforts to increase productivity and service have had mixed results. From entry to payment for food, I spent a maximum of maybe 2-3 minutes. Very fast. The staff on the other end are attentive and work together to get food cooked, plated, and served efficiently. Due to how the ship is now ran, all charm and personality is gone from the workers. It feels like if they make a mistake someone is getting the axe. Not friendly, but machine like service. Food here is still Panda Express quality, with some of my favorites being made often and well. It is still however, fast food. Many of my old time favorites here are still products of the fast food business; leaving items like the egg rolls and teriyaki chicken with inconsistent quality. They are usually either very fatty (the chicken) or soggy and gross (the egg rolls). Service sizes are still dictated by the company and not the boots on the ground, so the value for dollar will never change. You won't get enough of any entree. I visit this Panda Express every two days because it's the only local fast food place that consistently served fresh food, and they offered brown rice, which was a major plus. When I came in today to order my usual, I was disappointed to learn that they no longer serve brown rice. Despite the letdown, I decided to stay since I was hungry. I noticed there wasn't much Beijing Beef on display, and what was there didn't look appetizing. I asked the server helping me if more was being prepared, and she confirmed that it can be, though it would be a wait. Fresh food is worth waiting for, so I didn't mind. However, just 30 seconds into my wait, an order was placed on the bar to be added to the service line. As the server turned to pick it up, she accidentally knocked the tray to the floor, along with everything around it. Both the cook and the server were visibly shocked. The server promptly grabbed a broom and mop to clean up the mess. While sweeping, she picked up the dishes and took them to the back, all except for a measuring cup, which she left near the station where ingredients to each dish is kept. Concerned, I discreetly took a picture of the measuring cup to remind her not to forget it, as a few more guests had walked in. To my dismay, the cook then picked up that same measuring cup and began using it to prepare the ingredients for the Beijing Beef. He paused, seemingly remembering that it had fallen on the floor, and looked up at me, then quickly looked away. At that point, I left the store and will not be returning. Every time I shop at the Camarillo outlet I always stop here for my lunch. The employees are always busy taking orders and cooking because the place is always flooded with customers. It's a very busy establishment. The employee taking my order today was nice and quick. She served my meals and got everything right. The only downside is that I ordered teriyaki chicken and they didn't ask if I wanted the sauce inside or on the side. And food thing I was watching so I asked the cashier to give me teriyaki sauce when I paid. If not they would of not included sauce and I would of just been left eating chicken without teriyaki sauce. read more

Always greeted when I come to this location.Even when they are busy they always greet me with a smile. Service is always quick and amazing. Food is always fresh. The employees I like to see is Jhelanie is very kind and sweet and always running around helping people she helped my mom get in the door.Josh was upfront helping as well. And stephanie was nice as well. When we came because she has trouble walking. Employees don't get the credit they deserve.Customers are sometimes horrible to them and they still stay professional. I was surprised to see quite a long line here, about 15 people deep when I first arrived. Kitchen seemed overwhelmed, evident by many almost-empty entree options along the serving line. Once I reached the counter, I asked for the requisite ORANGE CHICKEN along with BEIJING BEEF. Not enough available of either, but I was told there would only be a 3-minute wait for more. Didn't seem like a big deal, except it ultimately took 15 minutes. Also tried the retuning HONEY SESAME CHICKEN BREAST and paid extra for the premium entree SHANGHAI ANGUS STEAK. Enjoyed these 2 except there was very little protein. The great majority of the respective servings were 75% green beans and onions. No way I'm letting these go to waste given the high Panda prices, so should make for a good veggie omelette tomorrow morning. It's doubtful you come here for the rice and noodle side dish options. They're mediocre at best, but just like the entrees, skimpy with portions on these, as well. Service was upbeat and friendly, and even apologetic by the girl who gave me my food. So we were in the area and decided to stop and get a Panda for lunch. We ordered two bowls. One bowl was chow mein and Almond chicken, which onky had 4 pieces of Almond Chicken. One bowl was chow mein and Orange Chicken. The chow mein lacked flavor, it did not taste good. We did not finish. The Almond Chicken lacked flavor and it seemed like it was barely cooked. It was not crispy or crunchy as advertised. The Orange chicken all you could taste was chili but couldn't even taste the rest of the flavors. I am surprised about the lack of flavor and quality. I know its fast food but you would think that no matter where you went you would be getting the same flavor profiles. We will not be back and we do not recommend it at all. read more

It was 8:45 pm, I was super hungry and very grateful when I noticed this Panda Express location was open till 9:30. I generally avoid going to a restaurant right before closing but this was supposed to be fast food and I still had 45 minutes. I figured they may have a limited selection but I was not prepared to be met with obviously bothered counter staff and empty displays of nearly everything. They didn't even have rice or chow mein! Mind you this was not due to a staffing issue as there were 3-4 counter staff standing around telling everyone "No we don't have that. It will be about 15 minutes if you want us to make it". The 2 chefs were busy because people stayed to order but they had to make everything one selection at a time. There were about 8 customers standing around who were hungry and desperate like myself so we waited. I opted to take whatever was put out next and got some orange chicken and fried rice. When I got back to my car my husband asked what took so long. He had ordered at Wendy's next door at the same time and been waiting for me for awhile. To top it off the food wasn't even good. We live here in camarillo and started coming here and usong the app. However, today we had a coupon with the app for an upgrade for a bigger plate. When ordered our food we went to the register and the app wasnt working. My husband showed them and instead of taking the time to fix the problem, the person at the register took our points on the app and applied it to the order. And then gave us a small box or food as the upgrade. Called in an extra entree worth 750 of pur points. Coupon was not applied. This TINY box was worth $5.20. Its about the size if my palm for reference. My husband complained to the manger. She was young and acted like she had no idea how to fix it. Not accommodating at all. I arrived at the restaurant at 8:40pm on 7/26. There were no entrees other than 3 or 4 pieces of shrimp. I was told that they were cooking some and it would be ready shortly. After waiting for the food to be ready I ordered the only thing available, the orange chicken and last 3 shrimp. When I went to order a beverage, I was told that there was no ice. After eating some of my meal I found a hair in the chicken. I went up to the counter and told an employee (Sara) that I had found a hair in my food. She said, "What?! Show me", as if she didn't believe me. I showed her the hair in the chicken and she laughed at me and said that was my hair from my beard. I told her that it was stuck in the breading and was clearly not my hair. She called the manager over (Brenda) and she offered to replace the food. I commented that there were no other entrée options and that was the reason I ordered what I ordered. She offered to have something made for me, however I did not have any more time to waste as I was on my lunch break and had to get back to work. I kindly asked for a refund which was begrudgingly given to me minus the cost of the beverage with no ice. Sara then chimed in telling me that I "could have just left" and "nobody made me stay" and wait for the chicken. She then mocked me for asking for a refund. I asked what the problem was and commented on the fact that she is working in a customer service / retail environment and all I wanted was food without hair in it or my money back. (A reasonable request) Again she laughed and told me "This isn't my only job." She continued to make comments under her breath as I walked out in awe of what had just transpired. They take my order, ask for steamed rice and that won't be ready for 20 minutes. Why bother opening at 10 if nothing is ready, just open at 10:30 or 11:00. Or better yet if you are going to open at 10:00 get there early enough to prepare the food so it's ready to go at 10. read more

The customer service is awful, the cashier argues and can't figure out that teriyaki sauce isn't honey sauce, and the person in a black shirt (I'm pretty sure is possibly a manager because everyone else is in a red shirt).
