Fried rice tastes like school quality lunches Orange chicken I'll admit taste pretty good. Has a very subtle crunch, like VERY SUBTLE, tastes good, has a nice chew. But I could buy one from the frozen section in Safeway and make better orange chicken thats also more cost effective The amount was surprising. He asked me for my entree, told me my options, I just said fried rice, I didnt know you could pick 2 entrees. (On the receipt, it said 1/2 fried rice + 1/2 fried rice). He gave me a lot of fried rice and when I said orange chicken, he gave me so little I had a physical reaction. I think my face tweaked a bit seeing how little orange chicken he added (I was under the impression that panda express would overflow your bowls so much that they cant even close it). Probably more worth to buy a plate, I think thats when they overflow it, but who knows, maybe its inflation again. Lots of workers, I was surprised, the moment I walked in, there were like a group of 6 all hovering next to the food section. The worker I had was very good, he was quick and my order went pretty smooth for my first time at panda express He asked me if I wanted any drinks, I said water, asked me if I wanted any sauces, theres soy sauce, hot sauce, I said hot sauce, he also asked if I wanted a to go bag, I said yes, the fortune cookie came without needing to say anything. Prices very adequate for quality and quantity of cuisine you're attaining. A lot of employees bumping into each other, but they got it figured out and are super friendly! Loud environment if you eat there, I suggest drive thru, movie or book at home by the (or under cozy blanket) in winter. By water (with sunscreen of course) & eating ice-cream in the summer. Enjoy! This restaurant is located in a place near which I frequently find myself, thus I come here at least once a week, and well...here's what I think. First, the employees and some customer service. The employees are for the most part friendly, they greet you upon entering, take your order and make you feel welcome, sometimes, however there are those who don't want to take your order or just want to argue with you when you ask if you could have a little more of a certain menu item. There is one woman there who is like that, and, for that reason, I don't come here when she's usually working. Now, let's talk about the food! I love the Teriyaki Chicken and Black Pepper Angus Steak. Those are what I normally get as my two entrées and then White Rice as my side. I also like to get the String Bean Chicken Breast, but almost every time I come here and order it, I have to wait 10-20 minutes, one time almost half an hour! And then I have to get up and check, because no one keeps me in the loop of its status and eventually they forget about me and I end up with my food being cold. They don't seem to be as organized at times here. Maybe look into that is my advice for them. As I mentioned above, I come here frequently and I'll probably still come here, but I better not have to wait 20-30 minutes ever again for a menu item here or I'll just go somewhere else from now on. Overall, I give this panda Express a 3.75. It is popular so expect lines, drive through and inside. Atmosphere: 4 star. The inside looks polished and was mostly clean. There is outdoor seating and all on all, it looks pretty good. One note though, the men's room only has a toilet. I had to double che6i didn't go to the ladies room. The mens room is missing a wall urinal. Customer service: 5 stars. I received excellent attention and friendliness from employees Shong and Ka. My order was done right and fast. Value: 3 stars. The drinks are standard price. The food is filling however. I ordered the bowl and got Angus beef which was an extra $1.25. Came out to around $8. Quality: 3 stars. The Angus beef was tender and good but I didn't like the oil they used. The rice was a bit dry. I imagine they have a schedule when they put fresh food in and throw out the old. Usually pretty fast. Food quality is low. Portions are lacking for the price. Occassionally, you will hit a surprise disgusting bite of something that was at the bottom of the pan for several cycles that finally made it into your dish. Staff is usually impersonal which is fine but most recently they were needlessly rude. I'm sure if I behaved that way at my place of work they would have something to say about it. read more

Panda express in Chico is pretty clean. The staff is friendly. They will make eye contact and ask if you have been helped or if you are there to pick up an online order.They are pretty quick with online orders. Sometimes the food runs out during dinner and lunch times and they have to make a fresh batch, but it doesn't really take that long. read more

When I am in town for work, I go to this Panda Express. They are incredibly cheap on the portion size. That's why I ask for both entrees to be honey walnut shrimps, which costs extra for both entrees. You will never get what you pay for. First time at a Panda Express. I pulled up in the drive-thru 30 minutes before closing but didn't feel like I was holding the store up by ordering. I ordered the "Bigger Plate" in which I picked Beijing Beef, Kung Pao Chicken & Honey Walnut Shrimp. I chose Chow Mein as my side and was handed my order within minutes. The woman taking my order had a pretty witty sense of humor. I appreciated that because sometimes people on the headset can be pretty mono-tone and not very exciting. As for the food the Shrimp was very good, the Beijing Beef was also something I enjoyed. This was our last trip to this Panda. We ordered 2 plates and a bigger plate. Got home to realize one entree was missing. Called them and talked to Aisha or something)had to suffer through a 10 minute interrogation with no apology! Went back to get the missing entree (while the rest of our food got cold) the gal filled the entree container, then went to the office to get the stupid log book! Now my entree is sitting behind the counter. My guy asked her what she was doing and she said she had to "log" it. So he asked if we have to sit here and wait for that or can we get our damn food! She practically threw it at him and he asked three times if we could at least get an apology. That was a big fat No. Rude as hell!! The one star rating has nothing to do with the food or the business itself.. It goes to the customer service I received tonight from an employee named Syneka when I went through the drive through (at 9 pm). As a person who works in customer service myself, I don't appreciate feeling like I'm inconveniencing someone simply for receiving my food. She opened the window and stated my total with an annoyed tone and look on her face as if I'd done something wrong by being there. When she handed me my food I felt like it was practically thrown at me and she slammed the window shut immediately, so I had to wait several minutes to ask for sauce myself, and when she opened it finally she didn't say anything, looked at me with a very irritated expression and when I asked for soy sauce she grabbed a handful of about ten and sarcastically said "this enough?" while handing it to me and shut the window immediately again before I was able to even respond. I am very disappointed in the experience I had and I regret even buying my dinner there tonight at this point because all it did was ruin the good mood I was in. Place requires masks and yells at people who happen to walk in without them, despite the fact that there is no mandate and masks don't work anyway, let alone the fact that most people are vaccinated. Would be nice if the website specified as such for online orders so that people who don't want to wear a mask for nothing can stay away. They don't bring food out carside, so I had to go in without a mask, not knowing that they required them, and then got yelled at and told to put on a mask. My food was already ready and waiting, so instead of just handing it to me so I could leave, I got yelled at and told to out on a mask otherwise I could not get the food I already paid for. Saw multiple others get yelled at for not having a mask on while I was waiting in line for my food that was already done...Won't be back. Oh, and the food sucked. Ordered a two entree plate and it had 4 bites of chicken and 4 bites of what I assumed was beef, the rest was 2 pounds of chow mein and giant chunks of onion. It all tasted like salt water. I've been here a handful of times now and I've never had a bad experience like some Yelpers. The food is the standard fast Chinese food. The service is quick and friendly. The dining area is pretty clean. It's great they have a drive through. Most Pandas don't! If they are out of something they have no problem yelling at the cooks to make it. No big deal. The only thing that bothers me about all Panda Expresses in general is that it's so pricy for fast food. What are we paying for? Is the chicken free range? Is the beef grass fed? No HFCS? Are the employees paid excellent like In N Out? I'll research this later but for now Panda Express is a pricy fast food treat every now and then. Yum. read more
