Normally it's not so bad here, but last night wasn't so great. I like the broccoli beef and always have to watch how they serve it, otherwise I'll end up with two small pieces of beef like in this photo. When I watched the guy serve it, he got a good scoop which from my view appeared as though there was a good amount of beef mixed with the broccoli. When i order was delivered there was not Teriyaki sauce for the chicken. i contacted the sore and was told i had to request additional sauces if i want it. and i could go to the location and get the sauce. *** How do you sell Teriyaki Chicken with no sauce. I've had Panda express before, but this was just sad. I don't remember the food tasting so meh and the service so meh. Do I blame the Dodgers win promo that I used? Maybe, but you would still hope that all Panda's have some kind of quality control in their food, if not in their service. I walked in to pick up my to-go order and they manager was really rude. Obviously flustered by the amount of to-go orders, she barely filled my plate with anything. One side I got was broccoli and beef....first of all, the broccoli was raw. Second of all, its not called broccoli and beef if you give no beef...After the manager took my plate, they threw it in a bag (like literally threw it) and didnt even give me a fortune cookie. I placed an order online and went there to pick up my food on time, but it wasn't ready. They didn't even start preparing my online order yet and they were serving walk customers first. I waited like 15 minutes until all the walk in customers are done getting theirs. What's the point of online order if I can get the food faster by walking in. I can't give this place enough starts for their awesome service! 5 stars for the service because the guy who answered their phone was awesome! I had to call to ask if the chow mein noodles and other items were vegetarian friendly. When the panda staff member answered the phone he was so helpful! He listed all of the ingredients on everything I had questions about and he explained to me how they prepared it all. I can't thank him enough for taking the time to really make sure my questions were answered. So I hung up and placed an online order for a bowl with beyond chicken and chow mein noodles with veggies. The food was really good and my order was accurate and had all of the sauces and utensils I asked for. I would gladly return to get the beyond chicken and for the great service. read more

There was plastic in my food! I would give 0 or negative stars if I could. I got a plate: chow mein and fried rice with kung Pao chicken and beyond orange chicken. I wasn't even 1/4 of the way through eating when I felt something hard while chewing, only to find out it was an inch long black piece of plastic. I have no idea if it came from one of the entrees or the sides but the back part of the plastic looked like food was seared onto it. Absolutely unacceptable! Thank goodness I didn't end up accidentally eating it. I could no longer eat any of my remaining food and honestly will probably never go near another panda express again. read more

Offering about 10 different items. Everything hot and ready. Mostly chicken. Orange Chicken, black pepper chicken, sweet and sour chicken, teriyaki chicken, fire roasted sweet chili chicken. A few beef dishes. Hardly any vegetarian dishes. A few beef or shrimp items which cost more. 2 item combos are about $8.00. Dinner for two about $20.00. I usually get Black pepper chicken and the sweet fire chicken with half noodles half rice. I eat less than half and send the rest for lunch with the Misters. I ask him how lunch was, he says it was okay. Which means don't pack me that crap again. When it comes down to it. Panda is just okay. This time the fundraiser was for the "WomenShelter of Long Beach". Whenever our LOCAL school has a fundraiser with this Panda Express the Panda Express at Katella & Winnerhas a convenient error online "Online ordering is temporarily unavailable". SUSPECT! This has happened 2-3x with this same Panda which is closest to the school offering the various fundraisers. SUSPECT! When I try to call and complain or ask them how I can place the online order to use the code the phone line goes straight to voicemail "I'm sorry, no one is available to take your call... goodbye!" and hangs up. SUSPECT! If your franchisee owners don't want to take place in the fundraiser they should just come out and say it. Super shady business, Panda. Super shady. It's a Panda Express, so we got exactly what we ordered and expected. We called ahead for a party of four and the person we spoke with recommended a family platter that came with two or three entrees, rice, and chow mein noodles. It was exactly what we hoped for and all in, it was about $40-50. It was ready when I went to pick it up and I think I only called ahead by 10-15 minutes. The service was friendly and quick and the food was tasty. We had a lot of leftovers from just the four of us, which was an added bonus. More often than not they are out of dishes. What happened to the black pepper chicken? There are always 3-4 options they don't have. No matter what time of day. The dishes with mushrooms always seem to be in healthy supply. The portion sizes are VERY small. These are not full portions. They rush you through your order and talk over you so your order is probably going to come out wrong unless you speak over them. It's an awful game. The manager yells. All the time. At everyone. Summary: The last two times I picked up an online order from this location, they have forgotten an entree item, so ensure you check your order before leaving the store for missing items. They seem to ignore the special instructions when ordering online. They seem to always include utensils even though you chose not to include them while ordering. I've also seen larger portions served at other locations. I've been to this Panda Express (next to Cypress Costco) 1-2 times a month. for the last few years. The last two times, I've online ordered the exact same thing: a 3-item combo, a 2-item combo, and a small a la carte entree. The last two times they have forgotten either the third entree item of the 3-item combo or the small a la carte entree that usually comes in a separate small container. Someone else picked up the meal and didn't discover the mistake until the meal was at home. The first time I ignored the mistake but made sure to fill out the online survey. The second time I actually drove back to complain to the manager. This happened between 7-15 PM and 8 PM. I always fill out their online survey to get the small a la carte entree for free. While online ordering, I put the "Entree redemption code [XXXXX] No utensils" in the special instructions. I do this knowing I need to present the receipt upon pickup. however, the person that I sent to pick up the order didn't present the redemption code written on the back of the old receipt and the discount was not applied. They didn't ask for it either. Later, the manager said they couldn't discount the order after pickup. Additionally, they included two packs of plastic-wrapped utensils in the bag even though my special instructions included "no utensils". I've been trying to reduce the amount of one-time-use plastics I use. When ordering online the "utensils" or "add-utensils" box is left unchecked (I'm not sure of the exact wording when ordering), it's an additive step. However, they always seem to include utensils no matter what your preference is. I went back to rectify the order and asked for a manager. The female manager whose name starts with an "A" offered to give the missing item and even replace the entire meal (which was getting cold), but I didn't want to waste the food so I opted just to get what was missing. I asked her to take back the plastic utensils back which she took and placed directly into the trash can [sigh]. She seemed to stay professional been though she would no honor the survey redemption code. If she would have honored it, I probably would not be writing this Yelp review. read more

Every location I've ever gone to gives the right amount, this one DOES NOT! I have attached pics for reference. When you pay an extra $1.50 for an item, you expect to at least get the full portion. Today I got the 1 item with the chow main noodles what I got was Shanghai Angus Steak and OMG.....it was so good & fresh! I think this location and the one located in the lot at Morongo Casino are the best 2 locations ever. Ordered 3 item combo. Asked for chowmain with a little bit of fried rice. Got the opposite. No bigs. 3 sides were orange chicken, beef n broccoli and 2 spring rolls. Good portion of orange chicken. Beef n broccoli was more like all broccoli with 3 pieces of beef. Spring rolls were soggy and I didn't get sweet n sour. Had to walk back in for it. Chowmain was little cut up noodles that were dry. Fried rice. Some of the rice wasn't even cooked. I ended up dumping the rice entirely. Flavor was meh on everything. read more

Just a heads up guys; this Panda Express is located at a shopping center, right where the Costco and next to the Los Alamitos Racetrack is. I ordered a 2 items with Entree plate: 1/2 Chow Mein, 1/2 Fried Rice, Orange Chicken and Sweet Fire Chicken Breast. In addition I also requesting on the side to go a side of sweet and sour sauce. I waited for about 10-15 mins and then my order was ready for pick up. I noticed that I wasn't given or asked if I wanted Soy Sauce. So I requested one, but the person in the front forgot to do so. Anyways, I take my order to the break room where I work and they did not include the sweet and sour sauce I requested in the beginning. In addition, the Chow Mein that I received was a bit burnt. I don't know if they wanted to get rid of the remaining Chow Mein or because of the demand of the orders lately with what is happening, they are "cutting corners", but it was very disappointing. I was expecting Panda Express for my order to be hot, fresh & with flavor. To be honest, I'm not sure I would return to this Panda Express location. In my opinion, when you go above and beyond for the little things that the customer requests, it says a lot. It shows that you took the time and made sure everything was right. The restaurant is clean enough but for some reason when I come in here they seem to always be out of food. Not sure why whether it is just my timing or maybe they have less staff, no idea. i've never actually wanted to cry in a fast food restaurant because of a worker but here we are! the woman behind the counter was so mean to me that it actually took me aback. my sister wanted sweet fire chicken cus she was flying in from chicago to come visit me (i live here), and they still have it in chicago. the girl behind the counter went off on me for asking for it because 'we're in california and we discontinued it 3 years ago'.
