I'm VERY surprised this Panda Express has such negative reviews. I visited this Panda Express on a busy Saturday afternoon and although there was a long line, it moved very quickly. The employees were friendly they smiled, offered me a sample, and remained attentive to all the guests. Also in my opinion, the portions they provide are pretty hefty. I got the 2 entrees and a side for about $7 and it was more than enough to fill me up. I'm one happy customer! I'll be returning again. read more

This place is standard Chinese fast food. I bet the biggest complaint is the line is usually out the door. I think the only reason I still come here is to reminisce the days I was in college and needed a quick chicken bowl and I only had a student size wallet. I do remember the long lines then. This Panda Express is one of the worst I have visited. They keep most of the containers empty or near empty. Then, they load your rice/chow mein into a container and let it sit on the counter while you wait for food to cook. Half your food is hot and half is tepid, at best, by the time you get home. The employees seem to do one thing at a time. Rather than order both selections from the kitchen... they are ordered separately, causing more waste of the customer's time and more cooling of food. Want service? Go to another Panda. There are juveniles behind the counter seemingly unsupervised. There is a line to the door or going outside and they are not asking for food to fill the empty trays with a very noticable customer base queued in the line. Sometimes you need a quick fix of Panda X. The orange chicken is tangy, and moist. The location was clean. Staff was efficient. My only problem with this location is that they give small portions. I understand it's policy to serve pre-measured portions but the management takes it to the extreme. If your counting calories then this is the place. read more

I want to start off by saying I love Panda Express but this is the second time I've eaten at this location in the past four months and both times got an allergic reaction from the food. I've eaten at several different locations(lakewood, Gardena, Monterey Park, etc) and this has never happen from any of those locations. I generally like Panda Express and the food there. The reason for this 1-star review is the terrible service today. I walked in at 10:45am, and found most of the trays completely empty. The items I wanted were among those empty trays. The counter worker asked me which items I wanted, I told her they were all empty, so she offered that they could make them. She said it would take 15 minutes and I said no thanks, that's too long. She apologized and said they just opened, but that's not true since they've been open for 45 minutes since 10am. I don't know if I'm being too picky here, but it seems they should have most of these items ready to go at open. Part of the point of going there is that it's FAST food, and waiting 15 minutes for them just to prepare 1 dish defeats the purpose of a quick lunch. read more

I know it is fast food Chinese, but it is still delicious. Today's experience was quite pleasant. I don't usually give props to our service workers but the young lady named Darcy, who worked the register went above and beyond. Very hospitable and kind to all with a genuine smile. If Panda Express were smart, they would do their best to keep her. Like any other Panda Express, they sell Chinese style fast food. Typical dishes like orange chicken and broccoli beef were decent. Not much to rave about. Problem with this location is portions are extreme small compared to many other locations. If you need something to fill you up, you're going to have to look elsewhere. read more

Approximately 4 Tuesdays ago I went to Panda Express located on Firestone in the city of Downey California. I ordered the "string Bean Chicken breast, noodles". Got it to go, and ate my meal at home. As soon as I finished my meal I burped, and it wasn't a healthy burp. I knew that they had served up food that had turned already, and the night was going to be painful. I was right, I got food poisoning which lasted about 1 1/2 day, and I went through a lot of pain Thanks Panda. I will never, and I mean never eat there again. Panda is usually a last resort for me (instead of a destination). "Man Im hungry...no time...oh look a Panda...". At least they were open on Christmas Eve when others were closed. The ANGUS STEAK was more tender than I expected. Too bad 1/2 of what looked like Steak was actually mushroom decoys...tasty but I always feel cheated after a bite here. The food is pretty good here, just as it is at any other Panda Express. My only concern is that they are soooo stingy on the Shrimp.
