Every so often I get the craving for Americanized Chinese food and that only allows me one place to get it from. I was on my way back to the DMV when I had that urge. I'm not completely familiar with every town and neighborhood in the area so I had to do a search for this. I punched in looking for the closest one and it brought me here. It sits in a very nice area and I was surprised. I thought I was getting a drive thru location, but this is in like a town square so I had to park and come in. When I did enter the store, I wasn't even completely through the door and I was being greeted. The staff behind the counter asked me how I was doing, and not to just ask me how I was doing, she asked as if she really cared and held a conversation with me. I went through the line and got a plate; fried rice, orange chicken, and honey sesame chicken. Getting it to go with a drink was easy as can be. Worst customer service EVER! I placed an Uber Eats order for pickup. When my husband went to pick it up they had given my order away to some random Uber Eats driver DESPITE my order being a walk in, pic up. When I spoke to the worker she flat out REFUSED to remake my order despite my order being for pickup and them giving my food away. Then told me I would have to buy it again, call customer or leave. I've been to all of the other Panda Express in the area and this is by far the worst one, first the line was out the door and they had one person doing the inside ordering second the serving portion was not good at all I had ordered a bigger plate and they gave me a plate portion I usually go to the Frederick or Westfield Montgomery location and have not had any problems, the food it's self was not that good does not taste as good as the other locations, will never go to this location again read more

Used my birthday rewards to grab food here. This location seems cleaner and better run than the Montgomery Mall one, but its a franchise so they should be similar. I know this is Americanized Chinese food but it's pretty meh. Portion sizes were decent and prices haven't gone through the roof yet, but there's really a lack of flavor in the mushroom chicken, tofu eggplant, and beef broccoli. The spicy orange chicken was OK, but let's be real, anything fried with a sweet sauce on it is usually good. If you order from here, rethink it. As someone who often orders food online and picks up, for Panda Express this location to do that is one of the worst of fast food I've ever experienced in my life. The last 3 to 4 times my family has ordered to pick up. We have had to wait anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes after it was supposed to be ready to get our food. Tonight it took about 30 mins. They only started the order after 20 mins of waiting (20 mins AFTER it was supposed to be ready) was because my mother who was inside told them we'd cancel the order if we didn't get in a timely manner. They were then able to complete our order within 10 mins. There was no less than probably 15 people who had ordered (in store & online orders) who were waiting for their food at a time at any given time during this whole ordeal. We placed the order at 7:05 and got it finally at 8:02 when it was supposed to be ready around 7:32. The only the reason we got our order when we did, ABOUT A HOUR AFTER WE PLACED THE ORDER, was because she argued and wanted to get her money back. Otherwise it would have been longer. I understand this is a popular place to eat, my family loves it that's why we come. But If a location can't handle the amount of online orders it gets then they need to pause them when they get too busy, other restaurants and fast food places do it. It would have been quicker to place the order and drive from Germantown to the Montgomery Mall location and get back home than going to this location. 11/2/21 Food/Menu: The food at this location is on par with other locations. After many visits at various locations, I just discovered today that you could order half and half of the side choices which include: Chow Mein, Fried Rice, Mixed Veggies, White Steamed Rice, and Brown Steamed Rice. I ordered a bowl with half Chow Mein and half Fried Rice and Honey Walnut Shrimp. There is an additional premium charge of $1.25 for the shrimp and Black Pepper Angus Steak. I enjoyed my bowl, however, the walnuts seemed hard which led me to believe it may have been overcooked. New on the menu is the Family Feast which includes 3 large entrees and 2 large sides which serves 4-5 people and pricing starts at $29. Service: I was warmly greeted with a welcome upon entering. The associate greeted every patron with enthusiasm which I could hear in her voice. Parking: There is street parking and also an underground parking garage around the corner which is open from 6am to 12am everyday until the work on the top deck is done. I was confused how to get out to the elevator as there was signage on the door that said Rodgers Consulting. Apparently you go through those doors to get on the elevator. Level 1 is for all retailers and the consulting firm is on level 2. Just thought I would point that out in case anyone gets confused. For some unknown reason its $1.25 surcharge for this. Okay, Ill pay it.. maybe it goes towards Panda research or something, but, mannnn!! They stingy!!!! 7 whole shrimp!! Its expensive!! I like this Panda Express, as I entered the restaurant I was welcomed with multiple "Helloooooo!" or "Welcome!" greetings from all around. Even got one from the back of the house from someone I couldn't even see! The food was fine and there was no wait which was great. All-in-all the transaction took me only about 5 minutes to get my food and go. I love their orange chicken, I don't know why but there are just some days you feel like eating a nice few bites of lukewarm orange chicken and this was one of those days. The noodles were fine, cold and crunchy thanks to heaping handfuls of cabbage. The orange chicken was hard but warm and surprisingly hit the spot that day. Came in during the lunch rush on a weekend and it was (unsurprisingly) very busy. Despite there only being a 20 minute wait, one customer became unreasonably agitated and began yelling loudly at the staff for his long wait and repeatedly shouted at them to "just shut up and do their job", screaming over and over "I don't care, just shut up". The way the staff handled the entire situation was EXTREMELY professional; in particular the staff member serving and preparing his meal. She exercised clear patience, speaking calmly, and respectfully, to deescalating the situation, and continued to help serve other guests warmly. This is like your average panda express. Food is standard and normal as always. Nothing special. However, they give you very small portions. I received 4 pieces of the honey walnut shrimp one time... Also, this establishment lacks in organization. When it gets packed, it gets kind of crazy and it takes more than half an hour just to get food.
