Food good, long waits in drive thru On a hungry Friday afternoon, on the way home from work with y'all lunch break I see a Panda Express and decide to pull in to grab lunch from the drive through. I order my meal with a side chicken egg roll and pull around to pay. The window operator informs me that it will be a wait for the honey chicken to cook; now this cane as no surprise to me because 9/10 times you will have to wait for something at the Panda. The system is to wait until the last scoop is ordered before cooking a new batch, but I digress. The window operator was friendly and offered me a free drink for waiting but I had my bottled water and turned down his offer. I pulled forward to wait. About 5 minutes later a friendly woman walks out and hands me my bag of food. We both notice the bag is covered in some sort of sauce at the same time and awkwardly figure out how to give it back to her without getting the sauce on her as well. She gets the bag of my food and quickly exchanged it for a fresh clean bag. I thanked her and decided to double check my bag.... Ouch, no chicken egg roll is inside. I walked in and got my egg roll and was finally ready to head home for my much awaited lunch. Thankfully there were no other hold ups, the food was all good but just wish they would run a better system to start cooking the next batch of food when the last batch is getting low but not out; this would speed up the process so that the average drive thru time can get below the 20 minute mark. The only reason I gave this 2 stars was because of the serving staff. The cooks couldn't keep up with the demand and was making the wait over 15 minutes. When we finally got our food it was ice cold because the cooks didn't cook it all of the way. The women behind the counter serving the food felt bad and were put in a bad situation because of the cooks. The food wasn't good, the rice was hard, the lo mein was hard and cold and the orange chicken was very spicy and had visible hot peppers in it. I spent $40 to feed 3 adults and a toddler and could have gone to a much better place for the money. Janet did come over to our table with hot new food and was extremely apologetic. I'm still sitting here watching how irritated all the people in line are for the crazy wait (due to the cooks). read more

I've only gone once. Therefore, I can't express anything about Panda Express running out of food. However, the chicken chow mein is my favorite. I don't eat out very much. I love to cook at home. This is a great place to go if you like chow mien with the smaller noodles and not the large ones. read more

We came in a little over an hour before close on Christmas night they were very busy and we were a party of 8, a few dishes were not available but they managed to get us our food fresh and hot in a timely manner. A customer came in I'm assuming from the drive thru angry over what seem to be a simple fix. The manager (?) Handled it very well. Considering. I just want to say I am grateful these people were here serving us with a friendly attitude and atmosphere when they could be at home on Christmas with their family !!! They lied about how long I would have to wait for the food. Said it would be 7 minutes and I've been waiting over 25. When I asked for my food after 20 minutes they were rude and dismissive, almost as if they were shocked I thought my food would be ready in 7 minutes (or maybe even anywhere close to that). Only selected one star because there wasn't an option to do zero stars. Worst customer service ever experienced at the Hiram Georgia location. Location is full of younger people, who think they can talk any way they want to customers. It doesn't matter wether you are young or old, you treat customer the way you would want to be treated. Because I was offended by the way I was treated, I spoke my mind, and was refused service because I did not agree with what I was told as a customer. My family & I have eaten here many times over the last 8 years or so, as well as at the Kennesaw & Douglasville locations. This Hiram locates was always lacking in customer service & tonight was the icing on the cake for me. I will not be back here, not with all the other options that I can walk to from their parking. Josh is rude and needs to be scrubbing the bathroom floors and NOT where he can talk to customers customers! After waiting for the sweet fire chicken to complete my plate, watching my honey shrimp get cold, the sweet fire chicken comes up and Josh puts my scoop in with my cold rice & shrimp, the scoop is so small I ask him if he can put another piece or two of the chicken, he rudely tells me that a scoop is all they give unless I want to pay for extra such as the alacart! There were 5 pieces in my scoop, two were only the size of a quarter!! AVOID this location. Rude staff. Half the meal will be cold while waiting for a toddlers nuggets! I like this Panda Express. Though a times when I visit there is always a wait on food. Particularly the Orange Chicken. I know it's a popular choice when visiting this restaurant and I know that restaurants now don't want to waste food, but if you have a popular dish it need to be available as much as possible. With that being said I will return to his location as the customer service is great and they do their best to get you out of the door as fast as they can. read more

Although it was around peak time of service in the evening, my order was prepared as quickly as possible. The food tasted great in that it was flavorful and not too salty. I ordered the black pepper chicken, orange chicken, and teriyaki chicken. The was a great ratio of sauce to meat on all three. The last 3 times I have been to Panda the food wasn't fresh and you pay a lot for it and they don't even fill up the to go bowls enough. I feel that you pay good money you should get fresh food and your moneys worth. Not happening here. Also the vegetable fried rice is fully cooked it was chewy. I called and spoke to management but all they say is they are sorry. I told them I just want them to know so that maybe they can make things better next time and for other customers. read more

My first visit! The service was fast and food hot, reasonably priced. However, the rice and beef broccoli very bland- more broccoli than beef & that was small chopped pieces instead of what I'd call normal. The tea was unexpectedly flavored and very sweet- peach? I will never ever come to the Panda Express EVER again... my father brother and I arrived at this location at approximately 8:50PM.. they close at 9:30. We get there and see the drive thru is fairly long, no big deal. So we decide to go in and order for take out. They had locked the door at 8:50 probably before. So we got back in line for the drive thru as there is about 7 cars in the drive thru. We're sitting there for about 10 minutes and the line has not moved. We looked inside to see what was going on and the staff was standing around doing nothing. Another 5 minutes goes by and the line is finally moving along pretty quickly. I notice every car in front of us when they approached the window they were turned away. They just drove off. When we get up to the window to order (9:05-9:10) we were told "we are closing soon and we have limited items would you like to hear what they are?" We say sure.. and the lady told us they had ONE order of walnut shrimp and ONE order of one other thing. THEY STILL HAD 25-20 MINS UNTIL CLOSE. They had plenty of time to make more food. They knew what they were doing. There plan was to send everyone away to get out early. I work in food I know ever ins and outs. And this was NOT OKAY. we got there 40 minutes before close. And they were sending everyone away. If this were to happen at my work place my owner would've fired EVERY SINGLE person on this shift. This is not the first time I've had troubles at this location. And by reading the reviews it sounds like the owner needs some work to do with his or her store and the staff. She needs to get rid of her staff and start over. This place is always hit or miss. Try to go in the busy periods or you will most likely get old food. If the crab rangoons are fresh they are good. I always get the teriyaki chicken and have not been disappointed but once. I've eaten here numerous times with my family, they love it. The other entrees I've sampled are old if it's not busy. I tried Panda Express and will not be back. I ordered the orange chicken and some sort of beef entree. The Orange chicken tasted stale and the beef tasted burnt. I got rice for a side and it was good. I took my food back to the counter and the woman said that the orange chicken was not stale that it was fresh, but seemed chewy and dry to me. The beef side was obviously burnt. She offered to remake the beef, but not the orange chicken. I threw away my food and just walked to Arby's next door. The employees we fairly professional, but that's where the complements stop. All I ordered was a small bowl, and it took 15 minutes for the food to come. After the first ten minutes a woman came out and said, "the cook is SICK so we are moving slowly." It took a few minutes for the words to sink in... If the cook was sick, why were they still preparing food? Five minutes later, we knocked on the drive through window to get our money back, but to our surprise, the cashier looked at us then turned away. A few minutes later, she came back with our food, and said, "I gave you extra." But, HOW?! The container is the same size!
