This is probably because they already cleaned the other half and want to go home. They tend to run out of food entries more than the other locations, so there's a higher chance you will have to wait. This also tends to happen more often later in the evening. Try the Brea location instead, on the corner of Imperial Hwy and Brea Blvd, they tend to manage that place better in the evenings. read more

I love Panda Express but I don't care for this location. I have tried eating at this particular location a few times and I won't be back. I will go out of my way to go to the one in Whittier. The reason I don't care for this location is mostly based on the customer service. I ordered string bean chicken and the pan was really low and the food looked old. I was asked if I wanted to wait for a new one. I agreed and next thing I know, the same server was giving me the old batch and it wasn't a heaping scoop which is what the serving should be. This spot is usually pretty good but today they screwed up. Its not cool but I understand people can mess up. One of my 2 items was missing 1 item and they shorted us on the shrimp but gave us a deal load of walnuts ( honey walnut shrimp serving is 7 pieces we got 5) so this plate was all rice and walnuts with 5 pieces of shrimp. So as my family was all at the table about to eat dinner I decided to call and let them know the error. The way this was call was handled was not cool. I didn't get any apology but was told I just can come by and pick up the missing item, talking to me like it was my fault they forgot the item. At this point I was upset and hung up. Overall good service and a pretty clean restaurant. Nice spacious indoor and outdoor seating areas, they have a good selection of entrees and most of it is pretty fresh. My one complaint would be that the cream cheese rangoons were a little stale, it's not a big deal but they were pretty bad. Wouldn't recommend coming here!! The woman who served me an my children was very rude. My husband and I always encourage our girls to talk to all people with confidence whether they are children or adults. We have them order their own food as a practice getting comfortable talking with people. As they walk up to the counter and begin their order the young woman continuously says " What would you like for your side order" in a rude and rushy tone. I tell my girls that at this little window there isn't a lot so they should go around to the window with the orange chicken and other meats. Mind you this has all happened within less than five minutes of us being there. The girls went with orange chicken and were deciding on one other side. This is where this young woman crossed the line. The young woman YELLS. She yells at my girls saying " WHAT DO YOU WANT FOR YOUR SIDE ORDER!" I yelled back of course letting her know they are looking. The young woman stayed quiet after I yelled at her but when it was my turn to order that bad attitude went straight out the window. I told my girls loud enough for the employees cooking the food to hear that they shouldn't feel rushed even when deciding on an order because we are paying. Yes, we got her name, yes got our correct order, but no apology. Yes they may just be words but with a tone of voice like that and the no care attitude she did wrong by my children, they didn't deserve that, no one deserves that! With all that is going on in the world the least we need is for adults to be degrading and killing the self esteem of our children. I just got home from panda express. I was not satisfy with the quantity of food they give. Everytimes i buy food there i notice they give little food. Usually when i buy food, i never notice each scoop of food is very calculating on how much they put in your dish. What make me mad is they even remove food they already put in your foam plate. I went here because my usual place was closed, the cashier asked if we wanted a drink I replied yes but she rang me up without it so I had to pay cash for it after. I got all the way home only to find out the noodles were burnt and hard. So I drove all the way back to ask for a fresh meal. They tried to replace only the chow mein but I asked them to make an entire new meal which they were not happy about only to get it home again and realize their "fresh" batch was also burnt. No matter how much I tell myself it isn't that good and the food usually tastes like its been sitting out for a while, I always seem to crave it anyway. I usually get the 2 entree box, and it is well worth the money. They tend to have alot more food than the bowls and it's only a bit more expensive. If I could give zero stars I would! My husband and I came in to panda as it is one of our favorite quick stop places to eat and had the worst experience. We are both unable to eat rice or noodles so we wanted to just order 2 entree bowls filled to the top. The first girl who was helping said that would be fine and we explained to her we were not able to have rice or noodles. So we waited for them to finish making more steak and shrimp to fill our bowls. When we asked if we could fill the rest of bowls with something else instead and even offered to pay more, the little old Asian lady working the register said not and we can't fill the bowls and ordered us to pick a side order( rice or noodles) to which we told her we can't have any of that stuff and we were told by the first girl we were fine originally. I used to be a regular.. One reason is because I work in the same shopping center and they gave anyone who works in the same shopping center 10% off. But when I went in there, the manager was helping me this time and she said they won't give me the discount. Anyways that was the last time I stepped foot in there. They are way overpriced anyways.. An average meal there is about $10 and I went about 3 times a week. For me it was about 9 dollars... so they are gonna be losing about $1296 bucks a year from a consistent regular customer.. the discount was just a nice little perk for me to go there especially since the food too expensive as it is. But I have other complaints.. the food isnt that great. They ussually have big lines and they can't keep the dishes full so you have to stand there and wait forever.. and they really don't have that much of a selection. I will say there are a couple nice employees. but Anyways bottom line originally it was ok but since this manager lady got to be a greedy person.. now they are gonna lose a regular.. losing thousands and they also lost my coworkers so probably losing 10k a year now. I reccomend going next store to Blaze Pizza, worth the price, good food and top notch customer service..
