I typically enjoy the Panda Express chain. This one in particular, not so much. The staff are sometimes moody but the place is clean. I also had a bad experience where the white rice tasted as if cleaning products were infused with it. But I keep going back for more. I have to say, every time I go to this location, I am impressed by how friendly and professional the staff are. For example, when you walk in you are always greeted with a "welcome to Panda!" The staff always smiles and is very efficient in their operations. Obviously it is a fast-food Chinese joint, but I think the food is always consistent and good. Anyway, since there is no tip-jar on the counter (which there should be), I figured this would be the second best way to express my gratitude to the staff there. I've eaten here quite a few times, the staff is friendly, the food is really good and a plate fills me up. I always get the Honey Walnut shrimp and the Teriyaki chicken. My only complaint is that they need to work on their sides, the chow mein is 90% vegetables and 10% noodle, their fried rice is bland, and their white rice is usually undercooked. Throughout my years of living in New York, I have never been to a more decent panda express. I have not been to one since 2015 and can I just say it tastes the same to me. I do not mean this in a bad way, I mean that Panda Express was my go-to in life when I was a child. Not only that but, I love Asian food and since I have not tried anything new, I wanted to look for something known to me that I have already tried. Panda Express is great but, because of covid-19 certain precautions have to be taken in which they do not allow anyone to dine inside. Covid-19 has made multiple businesses go out of business but, even in the roughest times, I have seen Panda Express help teenagers find employment while being in high school. The good news about this is that they are keeping the working space clean whether food is being delivered or picked up from a local Panda Express. This place reminds me of my childhood, it always serves great food, and the service is pleasant which makes the experience even better. Also, one thing I would like to consider is not to rush serving food since in all reality it takes time to package certain foods when being delivered or served. There is so much potential in this place because of how good the food is. I believe Panda Express needs some small changes that could grow their business by just adding gluten-free and more vegan options. Overall, there need to be more options on the menu both gluten-free and vegan for those who do not eat meat or have a gluten-eating deficiency. read more

Wow wow wow is all i can say. I only know this place from mall cafeterias. On the eastside theres lots of choices but food is so pricey. This place is soooooo good. Reasonably priced, food is super fresh, you can sample anything before buying and last but NOT least the staff is really really friendly. Its a real breath of fresh air when you come across a great restaurant with really great customer service. They just opened a couple of weeks ago and the line is always out the door but moves super fast. I hope they remain this great! I look forward to coming again. I had lunch here and the food was unbearable. I spent 8 dollars on the bowl and had to throw it away. the lo mein had no taste and was very bland. many of my friends also bought a meal here and eventually threw it out. i do not recommend getting food here. read more

I've been to several pandas in NYC, this is by far my favorite, the place is immaculate and the staff is friendly, my favorite server is Monica. The food is always hot and just cooked. Sometimes it could get packed in there during lunch but that only goes to show you how good the food is. If you like peanuts and spicy food I recommend the kung pao chicken. Yumm read more

I picked up food from here recently for my boyfriend, sister, and I. Everyone loved it. The orange chicken is the best. The crab wontons were pretty good. They aren't the best I've ever had, but I don't know where else i would go to find them around here. I did order lo mein as my side and it was inedible in my opinion. Still scouting out cheep places near the hospital where i'm visiting my friend everyday. I chuckled over some of the rave reviews over chinese fast food. I did try the orange chicken which was good, tangy and not too greasy. Fried comfort food. And the brown rice was fluffy and not oiled which was good for me. They have 3-4 dishes to to choose from and the left side of the counter has 'premium' fast food. All in all it was ok, i don't think a good value, small portions, try Shanghai a few blocks north, takeout with much better flavors and made to order. read more

I love Panda Express! Their food is fresh, cheap, filling, and keeps me coming back for more. I've been to this new location a few times. It has a nice modern interior design but it's relatively small compared to other Pandas I've been to. Regardless, the employees were very nice and, most importantly, the food was delicious. I work in the area and today is the second time I try this place. I got the noodles, shrimp with nuts and mixed vegetables. I am pretty picky when it comes to food and I found that the shrimp was particularly tasty. They keep the place clean and it has a nice decor for a fast food establishment. read more

I ordered delivery from this restaurant through Seamless. I specifically asked them to include both utensils and soy sauce. Neither were in the bag. I guess I am supposed to eat using my hands. I also ordered he Shanghai steak which is a premium entrée that costs an upcharge of $1.35. I asked for no mushrooms in it but got 4 chunks of steak and the rest mushrooms. So here I sit picking the mushrooms out with my fingers (no fork or spoon mind you) How dare they charge an additional $1.35 for that. read more

First, this place is immaculate: very clean. Next, it is very well lit, has seemingly plenty of seating, and I really like the way they display their food. The food is excellent. You may not get a ton, but it is really good. And, sorta the biggest thing, is the staff is super-friendly. That may not sound like a huge thing, but I think it matters. There are places I've been over the years (many times) where they still don't know my name, smile at me, or are friendly in any manner. But here, I've been here several times and it's just been an excellent experience with the staff every time (and I've been here on different staff shifts). HONEY WALNUT SHRIMP OMG. I quit shrimp. Then I came here, where they let you sample before you purchase. The shrimp is out of this world. Also, if you keep your receipt and fill out a survey online, you get an extra serving for free! The seating is a bit squishy and no frills, but it's a tasty fast food option. I never get sick of it, unlike most Chinese food, which I can only eat about once a month. This I could eat every other day. Better to go on off hours if you plan to dine in. There's always something up with this place. They're always either out of rice, or chicken. It's a major issue when you're consistently not having rice or chicken making customers wait for 10 minutes. Rice is the most common thing people will get with their yet these people always are out of it. Whoever is running that business definitely isn't running it well. I wouldn't be surprised if many customers have stopped going there because of those issues. Living only a few blocks from Panda Express, when it first opened I was eager to add it to my weekly restaurant rotation. However, I've noticed a few negatives worth noting for others based on when I've pick up food from there. I think these inconsistencies come down to one thing: the staff. I've had multiple wrong orders and differentiating portion sizes. The workers seem inequipped to handle an influx of people and appear very unorganized. I've found I need to double-check my order with them before I pay and leave, after an incident where my boyfriend and I got home and realized they only gave him fried rice and completely left out the main portion of his plate. We've also ordered a plate of beef and broccoli that had two meager pieces of beef in it, and was 90% fried rice. And just tonight, I ordered a size of veggies along with my plate and was ignored twice, and when I brought it to the worker's attention for the third time I then had to wait several minutes because they had run out of the veggies in the meantime. Maybe they weren't trained enough prior to opening? Regardless, I seem to leave irritated whenever I choose to pick up food from there. The food is very good at Panda Express, which is why I continue to give them my business, but I've come to expect my blood pressure to rise when I go to order and the lengthy process that comes with ensuring you have your correct food items. read more

The food is as expected for what it is, fast "chinese" food. The customer service, on the other hand, is atrocious. I work in the neighborhood and have gone here 3 different times. When it had just opened, I gave them the benefit of the doubt that they were still adjusting to a new store. The workers here care more about their personal drama & making sure they get their 15min breaks than they do about their PAYING customers. I stood at the register for 7min while my food was ready & prepared for me, while the 2 cashiers bickered back & forth, with no manager in sight! Ridiculous!!! The food was just ok. I had the fried rice, which was tasteless, and the beef with broccoli. The beef and broccoli had a better taste, but I would need a microscope to actually see the pieces of beef. And if you want to try the shrimp then it's extra. This is a review for Panda Express' catering/delivery experience. Waited 2 hours for a delivery order that never came and eventually had to pick up the food in person. Total time to receive the food from time of order: 3 hours. My coworkers and I usually love the food from here and order for take out 2-3 times a week. Today we were having a lunch meeting and decided to have the food catered. I called the store at 10:30 in the morning and asked them about their catering process and was told if I wanted to have it delivered, I would have to order through Seamless. I placed the order around 11:30am and the estimate delivery time stated our food would be delivered by 12:15. At 12:45, we still had not received our food so I made a call to Panda Express to ask for an update. I was told they were still working on our order and that it would be another 15-20 minutes. At 1:30, we still had not received our food so I made another call to Panda to check on the status. I was told they were still working on our order, even though the delivery guy from Seamless was waiting there already. I tried to get an estimate time for the delivery, but was only told they were working on it. I decided to go down to the store in person and when we got there, our food still was not ready. We asked how much longer it would take and the manager told us about 15 minutes. It must've taken them another 20-30 minutes before our food was done because by the time we got back to the office, it was 2:45pm and the lunch meeting was well over. Needless to say, we will not be ordering for catering from Panda Express again. Let this be a warning to all. read more
