The staff at this particular Chipotle is so gracious when it comes to prepping my food. I'm grateful because I can be next level with my food demands. For years I only ate burritos and salad bowls from Chipotle because I honestly did not know that Chipotle sold tacos and I really love tacos. For years I believed that Chipotle was a burrito and Mexican salad bar. Is my foodie card revoked? Oh well. Every Taco Tuesday since my discovery, I go to this Chipotle for 3 crispy tacos with pork, shredded beef and all the fixings. My gripe with this particular location is that they run out of many Taco Tuesday standards. Today, they were out of crispy taco shells and down to the bottom of the pan scrapings on some fillings. Otherwise, the food is just as blah and basic (but edible) as it is at any other Chipotle. I do wish that there was more attention to cleanliness details in the dining area. There was a time (#1) when I really thought Chipotle could do no wrong and I was jonseying for one to come to Queens. This location is the only one in LIC and so far, it's been a very hard sell given all the lackluster experiences I've had there. The two stars are mainly the nice folks and quasi-okay delivery time. The rest of the operation is all downhill from there. The store is a bit of a mess, each time I've come here. I've likened it to the repeated foot traffic of folks coming through the neighborhood but it's been like this pre and post pandemic. There is a certain griminess to the floors and metal tables. The space isn't all that big, but it's hard not to notice. Hence, I'd rather order online than eat in. Secondly, Chipotle's commitment to "sustainable" and "organic" food practices have been well documented (#2) but the food (and the convenience) of it has been the only reason I ever tune in. Strangely I've had more order snafus at this location than any other, which is mainly through take out and delivery. Plus what I've often received is not well packaged, somewhat messy, and frankly, unappealing to eat. Then of course, there's the prices. Chipotle is already getting up there on the price tag, but is it simply the location or third party delivery markup (#3)? It's not particularly cheap to throw down close to $20 after everything for a burrito bowl and/or burrito. Burritos , bowls , tacos , salads in the different categories of meat , chicken , shrimp, etc and the many different toppings makes it better in bowl form in my opinion . Got a chicken burrito bowl with the works and sucker was heavy like a small cantaloupe with decent amount of grill chicken . It was out of desperation/open restaurant opportunities in the neighborhood that we ended up eating here. The restaurant was dark, gloomy and grimey, so we decided to take out. We ordered practically the same bowl with one topping difference (sour cream versus cheese) but both bowls had a different quantity and weight. The food was cold when we ate it and it was a 3 minute walk home on a not so cold day. The taste was ok but really not satisfying. Everything was a brown mush and liquidy. Not a single taste identifiable. The chips were very greasy and not salted and had a funky taste. Not many chips in a bag either. The service was pretty bad too. Not only because of the two different sized bowls but she had trouble understanding simple instructions like 'a little bit of sour cream'. Never coming to this Chipotle again, which is a shame because I live down the block. Everytime I order food here, something is wrong. They're out of an item and offer no replacement whatsoever. Soda machine and their lemonade machines are always broken!!!!! No ice!!! The type of soda machine they have requires ice in the machine to cool the sodas as they're being dispensed. Without ice to cool the machine (which runs hot!) sodas come out HOT. This is also the dirtiest chipotle I've ever been at and it's not even high traffic enough to excuse. I visit usually 2-3 hours before they close and literally have had issues each time. You should not be out of food or ice 2-3 hours before you close! No apologies so you know this is normal for them! Zero stars if I could I wasn't going to add my god awful experience trying to contact customer service because it has nothing to do with this restaurant in particular but now that C.E reached out to me I will say this..... Each time I've reached out about my complaints it's never with a real person and I'm offered a free drink only that expires as an "apology". Honestly, this place is hit and miss. The only thing that's consistent is the disorganized, rude, and unprofessional staff working. I haven't really had a huge issue with quantities and quality. Taste has been good for the most part but it's the staff that makes it so hard for me it always come back. I've even resorted to ordering online and picking up and they still either make me wait anywhere from 10-35 minutes additional from the time the order was supposed to be ready. On a few occasions, I picked up my order got home and noticed a whole bowl is missing. It's a huge inconvenience to have to return to get your food that you paid for and ordered. On both occasions there was no apology or anything and one time I was told, "yea we have it here there you go", so knowingly they could've reached out since it was an app order but didn't. The other issue is the cleanliness of the store. There are times when certain staff is working, they are friendly, quick, and efficient. But it's a very rare chance I order the same time they're working. Also, don't order the lettuce for salad, it's not good quality at all. read more

I'm really torn. I have always loved Chipotle. But as a whole, not just this location, they're just not doing as great as they once were. The quality of the ingredients isn't as good, the portions aren't as big, and the meat (I always get chicken so can't speak to the others) is always overcooked to the point of dryness. It's just not as appetizing anymore. I would frequent this location more if I had a good burrito bowl but each time I've gone it's just been meh. One thing that really irks me about this location specifically is their garbage situation. Almost every day on the sidewalk across from their entrance there is garbage that somehow does not stay in it's bag or is leftover after the trash is picked up. Empty avocado shells (is that the right term?), or what have you just dirtying up the sidewalk for the pigeons to come collect. I don't understand why their garbage can't be contained. I'm not sure if part of it is due to the people who deliver their merchandise, people going through their trash or if it's just poor trash handling but it needs to be addressed. Love Chipotle even though they can be a hit or miss based on location, time, and staff at the time you enter. I had no issue here. It was relatively quiet and empty when i came in. There was only 1 other customer. The staff was very friendly, and i was able to enjoy a meal in a quiet seating area with no issue. Maybe i just got lucky on the day i came in? They made no changes since COVID. There is no plexiglass anywhere. However, it was pretty empty so i felt comfortable taking my mask off to eat. Always better to stay safe. I went to this chipotle on 8/8 around 9:30pm to pick up a food order. The sever asked a man to put on his mask. As she watched him he yelled at her, don't look at my pocket. He put it on for a second and then took it right off. She asked him again to put it on again. He didn't listen but she proceeded to serve him. I then told him to put his mask on and respect her. He became irate cursing at me. Another employee came over and said what's the matter and then took over serving for him. I had the most traumatic experience at Chipotle the other day. I ordered my food after work and came home to eat it. After about taking 5 spoonful of food, i noticed something pointy. After taking a closer look, i noticed that something was moving. It took me some time to realize that it was an effing cockroach? Or a cricket? Looking bug. I froze and stared at the bowl for about 15 minutes and took a video of it in disbelief. I went to the store and threw the bowl on the counter asking for a manager. He comes out, looks at the bug and says, "this must be from the lettuce! I'll give you a refund. And if you want i can give you another bowl." Lol. What? If a live cockroach came out of your food, would you be able to eat another one? This is the quality of food and service that Chipotle offers. I'm gonna be traumatized forever. RIP. read more
