I came in here on the 4th of January 2022.. I honestly never been in here before, but glad to find one very close to my son's kickboxing gym location. We been coming to RC for almost a year now consistently, due to my son's current kickboxing training at the Rancho Cordova Martial Arts Gym. I always have to figure out what places are there to eat around here. Not all are healthy friendly or good to have daily.. I try to stay away from deep fried foods and oily but sometimes on a budget, Panda Is the next best thing to feed a family of 3 kids and a mom! That's right.. I have a 22 yr old special needs daughter who can eat all she can lol, who stands at 6'2, another daughter who is 16 yrs standing at 5'11 & my son, 15 yrs at 5'6... so Panda really saved the day... I ordered 4 bowls which contains 2 items. One is a choice of fried rice/ super veggies or chow mein. The other 2nd choice is the main dishes... I actually asked if I can have super veggies on 2 bowls while they also put a little bit of chow mein & I am so grateful they were okay with that without charging me extra. Those were for me & my son. The other 2 bowls were for my daughters, so it was chow mein & chicken w/mushroom & other was fried rice w/chicken string beans... these bowls were delish, filling, it was on the oily side but it was good. It filled up & satisfied our hunger & I wish i took photos of our food bowls but we were hungry & tired! The store itself is very clean, the speaker where the workers speak into can be hard to hear but other than that it was functional as we got our food in a neatly timely matter. They were very helpful workers who listened to what each needs were met on the orders & I wouldn't mind coming back for more experiences since I ordered food to go, I did not experience eating indoors nor use their restroom to know that portion to rate in my review. Panda Express is our comfort food and we usually eat take out from this branch. We didn't have any problems until today. Food was not warm enough. It tastes like it was a left over from last night. The orange chicken was not freshly cooked, the honey walnut shrimp was flaky and the grilled teriyaki chicken did not taste the same. The chow mien and fried rice were so hard and stiff! In short it was old food/ left overs. It's so sad that they don't keep up with making everything freshly cooked. Service wise, it was fast ordering online and picking it up was no issue. Every time ive placed a delivery order I end up missing some of my meal or incorrect selections. Today I ordered 1/2 chow neon and rice yet all I received was chow mein. I specifically stated I wanted teriyaki sauce on the rice and chow neon yet there was no sauce...not even a packet in the bag. I love Panda and chose to eat here during my one hour lunch, unfortunately so many other people chose the same, I stayed in line(15 people ahead of me) and thinking the food was more fresh and hot, that really wasn't the case, food was warm at most. The portions they gave were plentiful enough for me to save some for dinner, so that's a plus, people in line chose to oder through the internet, so that got more confusing for the staff. I wouldn't recommend this place weekday at 12pm. Please treat the staff with respect, one customer was very rude. read more

Ordered orange chicken and chow mein bowl - they're orange chicken tasted so bland today, definitely not fresh. Usually the orange chicken hits you w flavor but that was not the case today. Our food didn't even end up being that hot once we sat down lol honestly a joke. Something was clearly wrong w their soda machine also; I got a cherry coke and basically got brown soda water. Didn't realize until we were about to leave cause I drink usually when I'm done w my food. The amount of sauce they give you is also ridiculous. I snapped a picture after taking it out of the bag cause I thought it was humorous how little they give. Not only is that such a ripoff for the amount of money people give this company, but that's SO wasteful to the environment. That is less than half of the plastic container - pretty embarrassing how much of a ripoff company this has become. Customer service was nothing special. They definitely are acting their wage behind the counter so I expect no above and beyond service. The cooks looked like they're working hard and with a better attitude though. Our table was dirty, had to clean it off and it was the only table away from the busy line or else I would have looked for another one. All of a sudden an employee came by cleaning and was sweeping within inches of our table - didn't like that cause not only do you have your dirty broom and bucket lifting up dirt near us, but you are literally inches from me and my sons face due to the tight spaces between the tables. If my son hadn't asked to come here I wouldn't come. They're overly priced for what you get. Their chow mein is loaded with vegetables and barely any noodles. I've ordered online from Panda Express a couple of times for lunch. I have a short lunch so I order online because I don't want to wait in their super long line to order. Sometimes when I come my order is ready and other times it's not. I always select to have utensils included and chili packets. EVERY TIME there is something missing. I either don't receive the utensils or the chili packets (NEEDED). I cannot eat panda without the chili packets. It is just not as good for me. I never select to receive soy sauce packets and this time I received soy sauce packets and not chili packets. So disappointing every time to not see chili packets. The food can also be pretty salty too. I need to be sure to check every time I go now. read more

Lots of online orders always need to wait for a long time, some of them even over 30 minutes. Lots of couriers wait so long in this store meaningless and lost the chance to make more money. The workers there work hard and are always tired, but they can not serve customers well for many other reasons. This store always give very limited sauces even if you ask for more. They think save sauces is more important than satisfy customers. The broccoli beef always has less beef since the manager does not allow the cook to put enough beef. read more

Very disappointed in my experience tonight. I get that it was busy, but I waited over 30 minutes in store for a mobile order I had placed before even getting to the store. The lady at the front, Ciska, ignored all the customers waiting for mobile orders and ones with complaints. Employees were filing mobile orders and putting them on a rack behind them, not even calling out names. There was always 10+ people waiting for mobile orders any given time. Once we finally got our food, we realized we were missing all 8 of our fortune cookies. We told Ciska, and after a measly glance around, she informed us they were out. Was no one going to say anything to anyone?!?! After bringing the food home, we realized it was just poor quality. The orange chicken was just breading, egg rolls were hardly full of anything, and the broccoli was so hard and crunchy. Definitely very disappointing. At least go back to putting the sauce out by the drinks, since the employees can't seem to accurately read the tags to see what sauce we ordered. read more

I'm literally standing here while I'm typing. The service here is horrible and so disappointing. I ordered food online, which is supposed to be easy for me and convenient (especially since I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant. ) I got here gave the cashier my name, she then said it's coming, so I waited thinking it would be right out. My order said ready at 5:36 and I got here at 5:34. As I waited my feet and entire body started hurting. It's now 5:55pm. I went back to the cashier and asked for my order again, she said they're making it right now. Obviously I was lied to. No one said sorry for the delay or anything. this location has gone downhill in the last year. Since they started doing takeout only these are my observations: 1) orange chicken that is squishy like it's been sitting an hour or more. 2) rangoons are usually burned dark and crunchy or undercooked. the sweet and sour sauce is cold. 3) chow mein has more cabbage and onion than noodles. huge chunks of onion that should be diced properly. 4) white rice is old and often undercooked with hard grains. 5) Kung Pao chicken sits a long time. peppers were so overcooked they seem like they came from a can. 6) broccoli beef was cold and stringy, with mushy broccoli and chewy, gristly beef. the panda express on Howe seems like they do a better job addressing these issues than the one off zinfandel. read more

Stopped here for an early lunch. Got there at 11 and there wasn't many people there. However, I see that as a positive because I don't have to wait in line. It was a bit of a relief for me because I knew this location gets pretty busy. Anyways, when I walked in, I was able to walk up to the counter and was greeted by a friendly employee who took my order. I ended up getting a 'bigger plate' with chow mein, orange chicken, teriyaki chicken (no sauce), and potstickers. All the food was fresh and hot. The employees who helped me were very fast and they got the job done. After I got my food, I sat down and enjoyed my meal in the restaurant. I noticed during my time there that the line picked up. Great timing, on my part. My food was delicious and was everything I wanted at that moment. Obviously that was a lot of food so I was able to take my leftovers home and enjoy it for later on that day. Overall, I enjoyed my visit. The restaurant was clean, it wasn't crowded, the employees were friendly and fast, and the food was delicious. No complaints! I'll be back soon when my panda craving kicks in again! read more

The noodles, while still good chewy texture, it is so bland now. The Beijing beef is gummy. The chicken with string beans... Well the string beans are too stringy. Like chewing a blade of grass. Must have been old And not the young tender ones. Stay away from this place and spend your hard earned money elsewhere. read more

Decided to mix it with chowmein which was not very bad. 3 stars just because the wait was very long but the quality is not all that great. Super disappointed. Waited over an hour for my online order tonight and it wasn't even correct. I did check my order before leaving and had to go back in for the spring rolls they failed to give me. Multiple people who placed online orders tonight waited 30 plus minutes past the time of the pick up. I overheard a few customer asking for a refund and the process for a refund was to take down the customers information and they would receive a call tomorrow when their refund is processed. Overall I would recommend shutting down online orders if you are to overwhelmed and be get better organized. I truly just wanted to get my money back but I had a hungry family waiting. Rancho Cordova location had limited variety. Everything was very bland, almost tasteless. I am not sure if the limited variety is due to the pandemic but was disappointed. I want to start off saying I love panda express. But I walked into some of the worst looking food, and there were numerous used toothpicks in the rice I was about to order for my son. Very slow service. 5 employees behind counter not attending to customers and just talking to each other. Employees are constantly crashing into each other and not paying attention to what is going on. The chef placed a new batch of food on the counter and it sat there for 5 minutes because no one was paying attention. They move slow all together. Grabbing trays, scooping out food, placing food on plate, closing trays, putting food in bag. I watched employees scoop and place the wrong item on a plate and then dumped it back in the serving bowl. Then, placed the correct item where the old one was. I spent 45 minutes here for 2 panda bowls. Food is the same as it is at any other panda. But they really need to get a good assembly line in order. Oh and I got 6 pieces of chicken in my bowl. I came here with my daughter to have lunch...and my timing was bad. I ordered the 2 entrees and these entrees I got were my favourites. Unfortunately, I forgot to check the food before ordering...and what I was given was a mix of the old and new batches of the dishes I ordered. (This happens when the dish is almost finished and a newly cooked batch comes in. They put the new batch in and pour the old over the new). I ordered Mushroom Chicken and String Bean Chicken (Holy Week...so no red meats...Ha-ha-ha!). Some of the string beans were all soggy and some were nice and crisp. Same with the mushrooms and the courgettes. So my tip of the day: Check for the tell-tale signs that the old food batch was mixed in with the new... Don't worry, Panda...I still love you...Ha-ha-ha! read more
