My wife and I love this place. Last Thursday we went to go see a play downtown, and we stopped here fot dinner before the show. My wife and I ended up ordering combination dinners that were about $17 each. That came with the entree, an egg roll, soup, a crab ragoon, and a choice of chowmein, fried rice, or a mix of both. I ended up getting the honey walnut shrimp. Our soup came out within probably three of four minutes of our order being taken, and our food probably came out in ten minutes or so. The portions here are awesome. They gave my wife and I a small mountain of food. It tasted hot and fresh, and we had to get to-go containers because neither of us could finish our meals. We basically got two meal each for around $40 total. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone on a budget that wants alot of bang for their buck. read more

5 stars! Tried Jade Garden for the first time and I was super impressed! It's tucked back in a strip mall and can be easily missed driving by. The salt and pepper beef was delicious and overall my favorite. The foil chicken was amazing! We also got sweet and sour chicken, and beef chow fun. Everything was great and will be my go to spot for Chinese food from now on. The people were friendly and our take out order was on time. They give it to you in a simple box to carry out food. They do have a cool menu lots of items to choose from. They also have combos, and a lunch special which I enjoy. The food is not highly seasoned which was a plus. I like it when I can just add the amount of season or spiciness I need myself. Very nice staff members, I don't believe they have fountain drinks, but they did have canned drinks and bottled iced tea. They have the regular iced tea which was a little weak for me. Jade Garden is one of my go to spots for Chinese food in Sacramento. They serve you fast as soon as you come walk in the door. It's always a calming experience when you dine as they have the TVs playing and it feels like you're eating at home. As for the food, the portions are always amazing to see. They do not ration over here. The quality of the food is also really great compared to other restaurants. I tend to eat General Tsos chicken at every Chinese restaurant to compare the quality of food, and they really do a great job here. Not too spicy and very delicious. Let me start this review by stating about 20 years ago I got serious food poisoning at a Chinese restaurant. It made me not want to eat this cuisine at all. Well that has changed!!! I was cruising through Yelp and came across this Chinese Restaurant close to my work. The pictures showed some really good looking food. I decided to try it. Sometimes some of the chicken isn't the highest quality, at least not to my taste buds (kinda gamey), but it's overall good in terms of how much food you're getting at the price point. The veggies in any of the food items are usually still crunchy which I really appreciate. I'm not a fan of soggy veggies and this place does well on that front. This hole in a wall Chinese Restaurant in Carmichael was such a pleasant surprise! They have one of the best Combination Fried Noodle in this side of NorCal - comparable to SF Chinese restaurants. Rating is based on service alone, very sweet ladies. Food looks good, but was sub par at best and tastes like I was eating someone's leftovers. Soup was flavorless and very thick, almost like mucus. Great place. We had a group of five on a Saturday night. The restaurant was clean and looked busy. We quickly got a table. We ordered pepper tofu, veggie chowmein, kung pao chicken, sweet peas and mushrooms, triple spicy shrimp(?), and veggie egg rolls. Every thing was served piping hot and freshly prepared. Service was prompt. Ordered crab wontons and chicken egg rolls for appetizers. Wontons were cold as if they were cooked ahead of time then put in a fridge until ordered. Chicken egg rolls never made it to the table but were still on the bill. General Tso chicken was good, perfect amount of heat. Steamed rice was not fresh but the noodles were ok. Inside of the restaurant can use a bit of an update or paint but not as important as the quality of the food. Definitely will not be back. read more

I got a to-go order of salt and pepper wings and wonton soup. The wings are not great. Large chunks of greasy batter and they taste old and freezer burned inside. 10/21/25-We had delivery and it was delicious! We ordered WONTON SOUP with lots of flavor and was a very substantial portion. EGG FOO YOUNG came with lots of veggies surrounding the EFY and the EFY had a nice texture with wonderful flavor. CRAP CHEESE WONTON had a nice crab cream cheese filling and to top off order was the FOILED WRAPPED CHICKEN-yes! Absolutely LOVE their orange chicken. I stubborn upon this family own business when I searched for nearby Chinese restaurants near my office. I phone in my lunch order - orange chicken with chow mien. I showed up in less than 10 minutes and my order was already waiting for me. The employees were kind and greeted me upon entering and when I left. Decided to tip them $5 for a $10 order. I can't wait to try the other dishes in their menu. The sauce was a perfect.
