Painter's tape is found on the floors and mark where customers can stand 6 ft apart on the outside curb and on the inside. And 10 customers are allowed inside at a time. We ordered the $20 family meal which was a promotion available online or through the app. It was a great value that came with two sides and three entrees. We opted for the usual including orange chicken, beef & broccoli and angus beef ($3.75 extra) along with fried rice and chow mein. Ordering was easy online. I selected a later time for pick up and when my time was up, the order was already waiting for me on a table designated with the first initial of your last name. In the past, Panda Express used be my go to for Americanized Chinese food but this location has been disappointing time and time again. They are way too busy. They seem to prioritize online orders and trying to get them on the phone to order to go is impossible. If you ever come during the lunch or dinner hours, the line is going out the door. If you know you're always busy, maybe you should hire more employees? I get they're overworked but the customer service is usually cold and unenthusiastic. They are rushing to scoop the items and often give less than before. They also had different to go containers without the individual dividers so by the time you get home, all the rice and noodles are drenched from the sauce of your entree. Okay. I never thought I'd be writing a review for Panda Express. But they now have vegan orange chicken made with Beyond meat, and I just had to try it. And you know what? It's pretty good. The Beyond chicken is not as close to real chicken as Beyond hamburgers are to meat. In fact, they don't seem to me to be any improvement over Morning Star chicken pieces. But that's not a complaint! They're still perfectly good. And the sauce on the dish here is sweet and sticky and everything you want in fast food Chinese. Their meals come with sides, and you can pick noodles, fried rice, or "super greens." The super greens are actually Target nice, and then you can get some vegetables in with your meal. Note that most locations aren't serving the Beyond option. There are only five places to get it in the county, and this is the place to come if you're in central SD. read more

I come here about 1-2 per month and although it's a fast food Chinese food chain, I have to say it's a decent option for those nights when you don't feel like cooking during the work week. We can usually get a few 3 item combos with rice and chow mein along with my daughters favorite crab cheese wontons, extra box of fortune cookies and a couple of drinks for less than $30. The place is always packed at lunch and dinner time so the food is always fresh and the service is good even with the crowds. We got to our table and realized there weren't any utensils so my husband goes and asks for a fork and adds that we couldn't eat the food. Now did he have to add that later part, not really but he wasn't being rude about it. We get the utensils... we're halfway done eating, and MY GUY OVER AT THE COUNTER WAAAAALKS ALL THE WAY UP TO US AND SAYS "IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA IT'S A LAW TO NOT OFFER UTENSILS, YOU HAVE TO ASK. THANK YOU, and legit walks away. We were stunned because, my dude, did it bother you that much that you felt the need to take a minute out of your day to tell us that? The food is what you would expect so no surprises here. I just wanted to give a huge show of appreciation for the closing staff on 5/4/24. I was literally the last customer through the door as I suddenly had an unexpected craving for some Panda Express (as I was across the street at the Home Depot for some errands) The staff was extremely patient and incredibly gracious with my order. The young woman who personally helped was genuinely sympathetic that they had run out of several selections but immediately provided some recommendations that turned out to be very tasty. The staff were excellent however, the broccoli was all yellow and had started to spoil instead of green the way it is suppose to be. These five stars are for the young red-haired (strawberry blonde?) woman holding down the fort there tonight. She provided excellent customer service and was cleaning up the messes of other employees. When my food was given to the wrong customer and the young kid at the register who gave it away incorrectly in the first place asked if they "have to remake it" (after it was taken away by a customer to their table), she swiftly refilled the order. I am in total agreement with the other yelpers: the staff is consistently outstanding. Every single time anyone walks in that door, one of them yells "Welcome to Panda!" with a smile on their face. They always know my order: large mixed vegetables with two packets of spicy mustard on the side. Wow, I just realized I sound totally anorexic. Anyhow, whenever they are out of an item, they begin making it immediately, and I have never had to wait more than 3 minutes for the food to be made. I strayed past the beginning of the line in that time while all 3 of the employees who weren't cooking or helping saw me but ignored me. Then another person walked in and the female attendant with a crazy amount of eye makeup and a voice like nails on a chalkboard starts taking the order of the man who just walked in. Not his fault so I tell her "hey I was standing here" and she says that next time the line starts back here, "B" you saw me! I try to use the bathroom and the manager Francisco, that "F"r is arguing with the customer in front telling him to calm down but won't open the box of food after the customer asked 10 times straight. When they finally opened the box "F"r tried to say 1/4 of the box was 3 servings of that bomb Az chicken teriyaki. Crew Members took so long to come to the microphone, literally 10 mins. We were saying hello and there wasn't anyone else. I was so annoyed, i am sick at the moment and just wanted a large drink and a bowl of chow mein. then when I got up to the drive thru window, she was so rude. Her name was Jasmin. i know working fast food is stressful and not always easy but I think customer service or even being quicker would help especially if there is no line in the drive thru. Not to mention, we waited at the window for more than 5 mins for two bowls and a drink. Usually Panda will notify people if there is a wait for certain foods, but they didn't tell us that.
