The Asian girl (bear in mind I am Asian as well) behind the counter was pretty off putting, and simply said asked what I wanted and hastily put in it-- more like threw it in and have me a half portion of Kung Pao chicken versus the full portion of Orange Chicken which I'm grateful for.. I haven't been to this Panda Express for about a year. Today's visit was a fail in several areas: 1. Safe food handing: The server dropped the food carton on the floor, picked it up, and began to fill it with food before I stopped her. A customer should NEVER be given something that has been on the floor. 2. Portion control: I ordered several large entrees. They were out of a couple of them, and asked me if I was OK with waiting while they made a fresh batch. I said I was. They were ALMOST out of a couple others, but for those they just scraped out what was left in the pan, filled the cartons 2/3 full, and then charged me full price plus the additional premium entree charge. Not cool. I was waiting anyway. They could have made more and filled the cartons, or offered to top them off with another entree, or offered me a discount for the partial portions. 3. Food temperature: They scooped everything into the cartons before making the rest of my order, and it sat there getting cold for 10 or 15 minutes. 4. Food taste: Undercooked, bland and under-seasoned. I wish I had gone to one of the local not-a-chain Chinese restaurants. I would have gotten much better value for my money. read more

When I got home, my food was soggy. It looked like it was put in to to go plate, they closed the lid and turned it upside down and shook it all together. Cleanest Panda I've been to. The food is consistent and usually all stocked up - never have to wait to get any dishes refilled. The staff is veryfriendly. Sodas can be hit or miss, though. Do recommend! read more

If you've been to one, you've been to them all pretty much. The food is what you'd expect from Panda Express. The workers are friendly and try to serve you as quickly as possible. They obviously have their rushes so don't get upset if you have to wait a bit to be served or for your favorite entree if they ran out. read more

Would give this shit hole of a Panda Express negative stars if I could. I'm giving this review with a bias because I've worked fast food/restaurants I know how these online order/ pos systems work. Went in today an hour and a half or so before closing. It was busy, long line out the door. I decide I'm gonna sit down in an empty seat and make an online order, I didn't mind waiting because I understand that when things are busy and hectic, things take a while.. that's fine. What's not fine is when I'm sitting here watching all of your employees work on the customers placing order in the store, as well as people picking up doordash/ online orders for an hour, and when I ask two of your employees if my order had been started or what's going on, I get ignored for another 10 minutes. They finally tell me they don't have spring rolls (which is funny because I watched them fill multiple other orders and refill the tray multiple times before I went up and said something) so I told the idiot at the counter I just wanted a refund. He tells me to cancel on the app and deal with it that way, I say absolutely not you're gonna give me my money back now or make up for it in other food. So as a compromise for the spring rolls I tell them to just give me orange chicken since that's one the only thing they have readily available. They go to bag my stuff up and I tried to tell the guy thanks and he just ignored me, I should told him fuck you too at that point. I realize they forgot my honey walnut shrimp (it was a side to a bigger plate I ordered) a different employee tells me it's gonna be 15 minutes and I tell the dude I'm trying to go the fuck home, so he just gives me another medium side of orange chicken. Come home and pull my boxes out of my bag to find blood on the box, absolutely fucking disgusting I will not be returning to this shit hole establishment. Be careful y'all, who knows how many orders they intentionally ignore, and how much blood they got in mine and other peoples food because they don't know how to handle a knife. Sometimes you just want some Panda. We have two here in town and this is the easier of the two for me to get to. The seating isn't as plentiful here as the one on Foothill, but it's fine. The food turns over quick and I've not ever had something here I thought was worse than any other location I've been to. My go to is fried rice, as I think their noodles are disgusting. Obviously the orange chicken is good, but I also like the honey walnut shrimp, the teryaki chicken is actually really good without sauce, and their angus steak is nice too. The portions for the premium items are not usually as hearty as the generla items, so if you're looking for quantity that may not be your best bet. Getting a bowl is a good choice if you want a lot more rice, and always ask for it to-go, otherwise they put less on a plate. The kids who work here all have been polite and service is usually quick. There is no real spot for a large line to form up without people bunching up and blocking the door which happens often, so that's too bad. But all in all I think this place is fine. The bathrooms have been clean and they always have a full tank of iced tea! read more

I've frequented this location for at least 4 years, usually visiting once a month, sometimes weekly in spurts. The location is super convenient being off Los Osos Valley Road, near Costco, and having a large parking lot. The food is usually good, as PE food is prepared by a formula with standard ingredients sourced from Corporate, like McDonald's, so it's pretty hard for workers to mess it up. That said, the service at this location is hit or miss; the servers/cashiers are usually friendly and attentive, but the cooks really need to step up their game. More often than not, the two cooks are standing around goofing off, on their phone or chatting with each other or servers, while several food trays are obviously near empty. I would guess 8 times out of 10 that I and other customers have to wait around 5-8 mins for at least 1 entree that's run out to be cooked. This was happening fairly often pre-COVID and seems to have only gotten worse. I've never run into this situation at the Foothill Blvd location on the other side of town - they always seem to have everything fully stocked. Sometimes you can see even the servers getting a bit anxious/frustrated, watching customers stacking up and getting irritated with the extra wait. I rarely see a manager/supervisor in the restaurant, so maybe the issue is that these cooks need closer supervision to stay on top of things? No free wi-fi, but there are 3-4 tables outside near a fountain if you are concerned about eating inside during COVID. Well I guess going at 3:30 is not a good time to drop in and grab something for dinner later. The food had been sitting for awhile, which is unlike most Panda Express, but I did not pay enough attention while ordering. So grabbed an all veggie (which they were all over cooked and soggy), a double order of teriyaki chicken, which again was a bit dry from sitting out too long under the heat lamps and a small side of orange chicken, super crunchy and not moist at all. All in all not my typical experience from Panda. The silver lining was the two female employees who helped me could not have been nicer. So maybe try them again a little closer to dinner or lunch instead of mid day. But good job on hiring friendly staff!! read more

I love dishes like sweet & sour pork; chicken; orange chicken that are done well - meaning they are "twice fried" which gives you that wonderful crunchy batter around the meat while covered with a sweet & sour, or savory sauce. Panda is one of my favorite places to go for a quick bite but the past few times I've been to the store on Los Osos road they have taken at least 20 minutes, mind you I under stand there are lines but this time there was no line. The woman at the front took a woman's order passed it to the next person then proceeded to go grab her keys, not work keys but car keys, and walked out of the store. She was gone for nearly 5 minutes before coming back. After the woman came back there was one more person in front of me and he got his order. Now my turn. I asked the woman for Honey Walnut Shrimp and Orange Chicken. She waited till I was almost checking out to tell me they had run out of shrimp all together. The last thing that ticked me off was I asked for soy sauce and Seder & sour sauce. The man checking me out did not provide me with either instead he gave me chili sauce. I have never had such good service and such good food and a can express. There were out of one of the sides and with in a couple minutes they had me in out to eat my dinner and I'm so happy. I'm not sure of the crews names but everyone did there part to help my boyfriend and I through. I'm not sure if it's because were out of town but this place seems awesome!!!!
