I had a typical meal here at Panda Express. The only thing different this time I ordered back by popular demand the Fire Cracker Chicken, with a Broccoli Beef, and some noodles and vegetables instead of rice. The meal was good. The fire cracker's chicken was tender and well flavored with its sauce. Seasoning was good and the heat from the chili was mild. The red peppers had a nice crunch and good flavors. The broccoli beef was a mix bag given some of the broccoli was cooked just right and then some pieces were way overdone, soggy, and discolored. The beef was good with a tender and juicy texture for the most part and a mild Asian flavor. I always get the noodles in lieu of rice when I come to these types of places. I waited for the freshly made noodles and I was glad I did. They arrived piping hot with a light brown salt with just the right amount of seasoning. The noodles had a nice texture to them too, not over cooked. The employees here were friendly enough. I liked that one of them came over to check on me and asked if I needed anything. read more

This is the second time this is happened I did a take out order of Beijing beef and it is so dry I can't even get my fork in it... It's disgusting! If you go here make sure you check your food... Because I called and the person in charge so that's how it's supposed to be! If I didn't have to be at work I would turn around and basically dump it out on the counter it's so disgusting and she was so rude! To drink I had the pomegranate cranberry light drink from Sobe which was from the soda fountain. I literally had like four or five refills. It was definitely a hot day and needed to hydrate my body. I am more thirsty than hungry when the weather is hot! The inside was clean. When we got inside, it wasn't busy but I would say 30 minutes later, there was a crowd forming inside. The workers here definitely keep this place clean. The restrooms were kept clean also. You need a code to punch in to use the restrooms. Make sure you ask. I'm a huge fan of panda express. Usually. I get that we're all stuck at home, not able to even go to the park, let alone enjoy some delicious kung pao chicken and chow mein. BUT... if I'm able to leave a yelp review in the time it even takes to load your online ordering page - there is seriously something wrong. Ok, no biggie, can't order online. That's frustrating, disappointing even. And no, it's not my computer -- because, again, I can leave a yelp review faster than your website is taking to load. Even switched from chrome to safari... nope. So, being the resourceful person I am, let's call the store! .... I was picking up an order for Uber Eats that was supposed to be ready when I arrived, and they hadn't even started the order until 5 minutes after I gave them the name for the order. I waited 20 minutes in a nearly empty store for an order that should have had no wait. This is something that can cause delivery drivers to lose tips or their jobs. This place is ok. We've kinda been on a Panda Express binge. The honey walnut shrimp which I highly recommend is always out. There's always a wait time no matter which one we go too. The majority of the tables in the restaurant was clean but few we're dirty. There were only forks available but nothing else. No napkins, chopsticks, straws, or other utensils. The lines were long as there was only one person preparing food and one cashiering. There was a worker in the back just standing there when she could've made use of her time. The person taking our order got one of our orders incorrect despite repeating it to her. Luckily, the girl working cashier corrected it for us before we left. Given the fact that Panda Express is considered fast food and *gasp* it's actually healthier than any fast food burger joint, gives this place the upper hand to start off with. My main concern with this specific location is that after 7pm, they run dangerously low on the tofu & eggplant dish. So low in fact, that today while getting my meal, instead of heaping on all the glory atop some rice, there was barely enough for a spoonful of wonderfulness.... this has been a reoccurring upset for the past few months. Fortunately for them, it's a tasty delight when properly stocked. My only other complaint is named "cream cheese wonton", if you've had them at Pick Up Stix, then you too are aware of Stix superiority.. and I shant fail to mention that for about the same price, you get double as many (crispier and better tasting) wontons at Pick Up Stix... I went to this place in Jan 2018, (wrongfully) assuming that the food would be greasy and the ingredients not very fresh. In the past two months plus, I have been to this place nine times. Why? Their food is fresh; the place is clean; you can see their fresh vegetables in large bins in their see-through refrigerator right next to their open-kitchen area. What is even more satisfying? The workers are very, very friendly. They smile all the time. They are courteous. They work hard to please you. Yes, I had a stereotypical opinion about Chinese dishes before. So I walk into this place and I am the only one in line, and a worker in front of me is dishing up some food. Does not look at me or say some one will be right with you and takes his food out into the dinning area and starts eating. Meanwhile a 4 or 5 girls are standing at the other end talking and a minute or two minutes goes by before one walks up to me clearly not happy and asks what I want. Well, I'll start things off by saying I never have a problem ever with Panda Express food. The problem I often have is with Service. Today was one of those days I pull up out front and there's a phone number listed on the Internet to call. I called that phone number and a voice recording indicates that I press 2 to get a team member to be. PI called eight times until finally someone answered the phone and then hung it up. I finally and I'm disabled by the way, so it's very difficult for me to do what I did, but I trek inside cane in hand to confront the situation because it really irritated me that no one would take my call. What if I wanted to complain about my food. I purchased 10 minutes before and I was already home. What if I wanted the number for corporate, what if I had eaten something choked and been taken to a hospital and something was bad in the food that caused this to happen so many things require a company of the size to have a manager that answers the phone and Warren employee who answers the phone to address the situation's when I walked in there was not one customer in the establishment But there was seven employees standing around and a manager named Carlos with a computer in his hand doing a stock check I assume. when I made my situation aware, Carlos cowered into the office and stayed away and made the other people address my situation until I finally told them I wanted to speak to him directly he came out, knowing exactly what he had done And began apologizing for not taking the phone call and apology is not enough I feel disrespected and overall abused by horrible management. If I was panda express corporate I would take this to heart and understand that if Carlos is treating customers like this, when it comes to just taking a phone call, how is he treating as employees and I will mention this as a sidenote, every one of the employees was of Hispanic heritage, which doesn't bother me at all. The only problem is this the entire time I was there they were all speaking to themselves in Spanish, which is extremely rude to be communicating in front of a customer about what the customer is complaining about. I'm all for diversity but how about diversity that has employees that actually speak English in a city like Santee. This is not the Panda Express I frequent. I happen to be in the area and decided to come here. My children love Panda. Our normal order is 3 kids meals, all 3 with white rice, 2 with orange chicken and one with teriyaki chicken and a medium side of broccoli but only the broccoli from the beef and broccoli. In addition to one or more adult entrees. When at our local location they charge me for mixed veggies vs $8 for beef and broccoli when I'm not betting the beef. At this mission George location she said they can't do that, they are not allowed and it just depends on the location and the person who is helping you (in this case the person named Amy who is the manager did not want to help). Did I mention she had authoritative/stern personality, I did not find her welcoming at all. Wait she also decided reprimand her employee outside where we can see everything from our booth window. My children were disappointed bc I did not choose to spend $8 on broccoli alone, it ruined the express for them. I will not be coming back to this location. Mini was outstanding! We have been long time customers, often coming in twice a week because our son loves it so much! We have always felt welcome... that has all changed since the lockdown. The last couple times we have gotten food, the staff has been so rude. They are also completely unconcerned with being ADA compliant. It has been so disappointing. I just ate lunch here. The food usually lives up to fast food chain but not today. The food was a bit flat in flavor. But worse than flavorless food was the fact that there was a bunch of black stuff in the food. I thought a well done pepper, nope! Terrible terrible service! Those girls all need retraining! These girls are very rude, I have been coming here for a year now and I have never felt welcome. I am surprised corporate hasn't gotten involved and let some of these girls go! I would also like to add that they are very immature, I had an issue with my order not being cooked fully, and had mentioned to them that they got my online order wrong at my last visit, and they began whispering to each other like little girls gossiping at a playground as if I did something wrong by addressing it. Please be very careful most of the time their chicken is not cooked, especially the Kung pao and mushroom chicken. I think they're in such a rush to get the food out to keep up with those lines that they don't have time to cook the chicken fully, I can honestly say this is the only Panda Express that gives me a stomachache after I eat there. A busy Panda Express is a good thing. It means the food is constantly being replaced by a fresh batch, and you never have to worry about how long something has been sitting there. It's the only one in the area AND next to the trolley station, so yes, it's busy! Having said that, I'm always greeted with a smile, and the workers always seem to keep things moving. I appreciate that most as I work nearby and pop in for my lunch breaks. Definitely one of the best locations I've been to. Shanghai Angus Steak is one of the best additions in recent years, and I love that there's a new dish to try every couple months. read more
