    Cheeseburger regular mustard

The prices just keep going up here and the quality down. My teen asked to go for a shake and grilled cheese so I decided to try their wraps. Both the wrap and shake were not worth the price and extremely disappointing. Sonic used to be a fun reasonably priced treat but not anymore. We go out of our way to get to a Sonic but it's just not worth it anymore.

I was craving desserts, so I decided to try Sonic again after 4 years. I ordered a cheeseburger, fries with honey mustard, and an Oreo cheesecake shake. I went in the late afternoon, and the service was quick, probably because it wasn't busy. The burger was okay, it was a bit on the wetter side, but still worth trying. I really loved the fries with honey mustard, though! The Oreo cheesecake shake was super sweet, definitely a sugar rush but hey, it's dessert. There are still so many desserts I want to try next time. The server was nice, which made the experience even better.

Stopped in and got double burgers for 1.99 on a Monday deal. They were good. The staff was professional and polite. They made sure all my order was there it was hot and wonderful. I will be back. I used there drive thru to get my order it's was fast and they went above and beyond. Thank you. For now I give a 4 star.

    Two Chili Cheese Coney

Yesterday Sonic had to buy one get one on foot-long chili cheese coneys, which is a great deal if you like those counties which I do. So I ordered three chili cheese Coney's, and got three chili cheese Coney free. I always use the application to order my food, which is what I did in this case and when I arrived and checked in, it was several minutes before I got an acknowledgment, and someone was supposedly on their way with my chili cheese coneys. After they acknowledged that they were on their way, I ordered a large order of fries to be paid in cash. And then we sat and waited and waited and waited. I finally pushed the button again and asked what was the holdup. I was told that they were very busy and trying to catch up. But that didn't explain why they said our fries were on the way, and Daisy was bringing them, and she didn't show up immediately or pretty close to immediately since it's about 20 steps to the door. She finally showed up. I handed her a $20 bill and a couple of dollars for a tip as she said she had to go back inside and would bring us the change for the fries. This sort of service is unacceptable even if they're busy, if they're this busy, then they should have more people working, which is probably what the problem is. Three stars today, you guys need to fix these issues.

We decided to get some comfort and have a little drive. It was my first time at Sonic so I was taking it all in. We got some hotdogs and tots. The credit card scanner didn't work so I had to pay when the food was brought up. It was a cool experience, except the confining space in my car.

I was originally going to head to In and Out Burgers in Santee, but after driving there I quickly changed my mind. The drive through was so long, it made me reconsider. I decided to tryAnny's Fine Burgers. I ordered a regular burger with lettuce and tomato plus onion the way my Dad likes, oh and pickles too. I decided to get one also prepared the same way. I normally do not eat red meat because I am a chicken, shrimp, and fish lover but on occasion I will make an exception if a restaurant knows how to make good burgers. I ordered for both of us, but I had to quickly eat mine so I could write this review and satisfy my raging appetite . The girl behind the counter was so friendly and helpful. She brought me a plate and my bag of food. I opened the wrapper and my eyes were in awe because this bigger was large in size and looked fresh. I bit down thinking there was no way I could eat it all. But, I did! I devoured it in five minutes! It was fresh, delicious, and juicy! They seasoned it to perfection . So glad they do not overly salt their burgers. I also ordered a homemade lemonade and a side of fries for my Dad to enjoy. I better go now as I need to deliver this deliciousness to my Dad! Oh I almost forgot, they keep the place so clean and I love the music in the background . Drake was playing! This is on my favorite burger list! You need to try this hidden gem in Santee, California.

Pioneer Bbq smokes their meats with white oak which gives their meats a smoky flavor without the bitter aftertaste. Pork baby back ribs were tender and had a smoky aroma and flavor from the white oak.  Dry rub gave the ribs a bit of sweetness from the brown sugar and some spice from the black pepper.  Very tasty. Prime beef brisket was tender and juicy.  Peppercorn based dry rub and the smoky flavor combined with the high quality beef into some delicious brisket. Staff was nice and efficient.  I'll miss this place Chef Hanis created.  I was told I could get the same Texas style bbq at a sister restaurant Del's Hideout which employs the same Executive Chef Tim Eylens.  It was back in 2011 I first sampled Chef Hanis food at Carnitas Snack Shack.  Best carnitas I ever had.  It's been since 2023 when I last saw Chef Hanis at the now closed Carbon Bbq.  I hope he is doing well. https://www.hungryones.com/2023/08/carbon-bbq/ To absent friends, lost loves, old gods, and the season of mists; and may each and every one of us always give the devil his due. (This is literally the only place I've found that has carajillos on the menu.) Brussels sprouts are crisp but not greasy. I ordered a side of gyros and got a decent-sized portion. The weather is perfect in the spring for outdoor dining. There are shades for privacy since the restaurant's got grocery store traffic. The throwback rock music suits the establishment, and isn't too loud if you want a good convo. There are also lots of TVs both inside and out. Today's server, Lizzy, was so amazing! Super attentive, patient with questions, and quick to offer refills. And so relaxed and cheerful for a Friday afternoon! Thanks for a really nice dining experience, Lizzy!

So we got back a second time and sit down to order, "Chicken and waffles please" - they are out of chicken. Oof! Strike 1. That sucks. She was disappointed but she got something else and we shrugged it off. Then about 2 weeks back we came in again... this time I asked first, "Do you have chicken for the chicken and waffles?" They are out of waffles. Oof! Strike 2! And isn't it just batter? I don't get it. We didn't stay that time because my daughter was visibly sad this time. So I think we are done trying or else this just becomes a running gag we try to get out of, like Groundhogs Day or something... Atmosphere: It's cozy inside. I love all of the details, like the wood carvings and all of the bear stuff. It's like you're in a log cabin. And I like that they have paper menus and throw them away (because plastic reusable menus are germ magnets). The newspaper-esque theme is pretty cool too. Price: It's no more expensive than say, Dennys or Ihop. Middle of the road and they have lots of options. A decent meal for two - 50$. Service: Each time we have been, the servers have been great. Nice servers and even when the guy had to tell us they were out of chicken, he was super apologetic. No complaints on the service. Overall: It's a nice place... when they have the advertised food. So I honestly don't know if we will be back or not. Maybe we will give it a shot but I don't want my daughter to be disappointed again. I get it, if it was something they only made 50 of a day, I'd understand. But... chicken and waffles? Hmmm...
