Went to get a quick bite before going to the movie at the Vancouver Mall. 8700 NE Vancouver Mall Dr., Vancouver, WA. They had a very small selection and looks like it's been sitting out for a while, must have been near closing time, 7:30pm. Ordered the walnut chicken, mushroom chicken and noodles. No crisp in the shrimp coating and soggy dough inside. The cook went way overboard on the salt with the chicken and mushroom. I couldn't eat it. The noodles were really al dente, way too much oil, no chapstick need here. I'm giving them a one for the staff a the counter , they were pleasant and courteous. This chicken is so dried out and hard that my plastic fork broke when trying to stab into the chicken. Bad idea if you're pregnant and you're craving the thing they forget. I wish I could say there is a restaurant around that has authentic or even great tasting Chinese food around here, but I have not come across it. My family is sold on Panda Express Walnut Shrimp, Orange Chicken, and Teriyaki Chicken. I know it is Americanized, but until I have something that is reminiscent of my grandmother's cooking or dim sum in San Francisco, I am sticking with Panda. They have improved significantly. I think the pandemic forced them to re-evaluate their drive through wait line. However, one time they still seemed to have forgotten to deliver my meal as they served two cars before us even though one parked afyerward, the store looked empty inside and we waited a good 20min. read more

The service at this location is horrible I worked at the battleground location a couple years ago and this is not something you you are trained to do by leaving a customer waiting for basically 25 minutes at the window. They informed us that our chow mein needed to be cooked again and that it would be no more than a 5 to 7 minute wait however, as customers kept coming in, they continue to serve them and I understand serving the customer that is right in front of you however, during training, you are taught to take care of the customer that came to you first, especially when you are fully staffed there were three people that went through the drive-through after us and we're gone before us even well parked like we were now I understand they might not have been waiting for the same food as us. However, this customer service is definitely astonishing and from being a pervious employee of the panda express chain. I know that this is something that they are not taught to do and should be held accountable for their actions the night shift crew for this night needs to pull their head out and screw it on straight or at least quit hitting the pen on their break. read more

I ordered a plate to deliver to my partner, but when she received it, it had no chow mein in it. The two entrees were there but no chow mein, only veggies. She needed the carbs from the chow mein because she's diabetic and her blood sugar was extremely low. Horrible customer service. I thought it would be a one time thing and the other reviewers were over exaggerating but it was constant every time I went. They don't say hi or how are you they literally say what do want and catch an attitude every time. There's a specific worker there who shows the worst attitude (Caucasian, teen or young adult, can't tell if boy or girl but I think boy and has an androgynous voice, worked at the drive thru at around 2:30-3pm). They were so rude, will find out their name to report to management. Their food used to be good but their portions are wack and sometimes the noodles and beef broccoli are cold and they always run out of some kind of item. I ended up only ordering a drink and when I drove off I realized it was wrong and I wasn't given a receipt or a straw. Beijing Beef - A spicy dish again similar to Orange Chicken (I really did not know as I've never had either one of these dishes before) that was atrocious. It was on the cooler side and the breading to meat ratio was way off giving loss to both value and flavor. I would not recommend this dish after this experience. Too bad as I really liked the kick that it had. 3. Fried Rice - was just ok. With all the ingredients I would have expected more in the flavor department. The drive through will give you smaller portions there was literally only 3 pieces of shrimp and I paid an extra 1.25$ for it.... 8 times out 10 get your order wrong. Always check your order. Very rarely do I give 4 stars to fast food restaurants but I've had plenty high quality dining experiences here that I had to write a review. The food is ALWAYS fresh. They let you sample anything you want. And the dining area is always spotless! This is a newer chain and I think management knows how to run a top notch fast food joint. We ordered pretty much the same thing for four plates very simple and we repeated ourselves to make sure she heard us right and she responded with "yea that's what I said". When we got our food it was just thrown in the bag and was missing some of the sauces that we had asked for. They need to work on their customer service. I went there last night and placed my order. I was told to wait for one of the items I ordered. After 30 minutes of waiting, I asked where my order was, as some customers who had arrived after I got there had already received their food and left. Upon asking the employee what happened to my order, I was told they had lost it. Not only that, they didn't have the pepper chicken I wanted. When I finally did received my order, I brought it home only to find a miserable serving of the entree, and tons of chow mein. How cheap is that? This has got to be the worst Panda Express I've ever been to. Whoever the manager is is not doing this company any favors. I will Never go to this location again. Have been here a few times before as we live around the corner, but it has been awhile. Never had an issue before. Anyway, ordered two dinners to go and opened it when I got home. Everything else looked fine but the chow mein looked different. After one bite I realized why. They are Top Ramen noodles. The chow mien here is one of the few foods my daughter reliably eats (she's autistic and gets set in her food-ways), so we've been regulars here about 3x a week. As of today, we will not return. About 25% of the time they screw up an order. Most of the time I shrug is off. I can eat the sweetfire chicken even though I ordered (and paid for) the honey walnut shrimp. If they forget the teriyaki chicken, all right, I'll live. They screwed up last time I was there too, but I was too tired to care. But today they left out my daughter's entire meal. That alone isn't what made me decide I'm finished here. I drove back to get her food, and had to demand they remake the rest of the order too. 40 minutes had lapsed between getting it initially, getting home, getting my daughter settled down, realizing her food was absent, getting her back into the car, and back down there. you'd think a customer shouldn't have to demand that cooled food should be remade when it only cooled because of having to go get their mistake fixed. Not finished yet. The manager was pretty rude about it. Instead of apologizing, he made excuses. "Oh, it was a rush." There was one car behind me in the drive thru when I first went, and I could see inside that they were empty. That's no rush. I pointed that out, and he shrugged. So I get my new order, get to the car, peek into the bag, notice i don't have the little container for the third entree of my own order, slightly open the white container to see if it was all in there, saw a corner of a shrimp and a piece of teriyaki chicken...but he had left out my orange chicken. That's right, folks. The fixed order was still messed up, and this time the manager had no one to blame. No one in the drive thru, literally no other customers in the store at all. I go back inside, pretty mad, I admit. By this point, it had been over an hour since I initially ordered. He shrugged while another employee laughed and shook her head. My daughter was very hungry and confused about why she hadn't yet had anything to eat. I don't bother checking the order again. I was hungry and my blood sugar was low. I sped me and my daughter home and pull everything out of the bag. I knew I had her chow mien, which was the most important thing at that point. But my honey walnut shrimp entree had a paltry two shrimp, and they left out the teriyaki sauce for the teriyaki chicken even though I had ordered extra. The fixed-fixed order was still wrong. So, as for quality, I can confirm that the food is often dry. About half the time the orange chicken is so dry I can hardly bite into it. The teriyaki and pepper chicken are usually moist. The broccoli in the broccoli beef is usually soggy. About a quarter of the time the chow mien is fairly dry, and the fried rice is usually slightly dry, but okay with soy or teriyaki sauce on it. The quality is definitely not up to par with other Pandas. I might still patronize other Pandas, but today was the final straw at this one. read more
