All the food here is amazing i love the garlic chicken most tho i enjoyed the fourtune cookie milk tea so much im not sure what the flavor of tea is but its so good i've came here just for the drink lol. This is my first time here, and was charmed with the decor. There was a lot of parking at this business park location, so no worries about door dings or tight parking. Once at the restaurant, we were sat in a private room for the 10 of us, and enjoyed the ambiance of this unique restaurant. The food is a little less tasty than the food at Pasadena Panda Inn, and believe it was a tad salty and presentation lacking. As for service, we had a wonderful server, who was on her A Game, with refills and serving on par with top restaurants. We Visited the restaurant for the first time with my family for Sunday night dinner. I joined the waiting list on Yelp while I was 10 minutes away from the restaurant. As I approached the counter to let them know that I have arrived. A young hostess tells me really it's not your time yet. It's only been 7 minutes. We said that's fine, Just following instructions to check in when we show up to the restaurant. About five minutes later, she calls me over and asked me who added me to the list. I proceed to tell her that I joined the waiting list on the yelp. Rudely, she replied, "we don't use yelp"I told her that it was interacting with me sending me messages and now her tone became more aggressive, "telling me we don't use yelp" and to join the waiting list. I'll be 30 minutes. At this point, I was already irritated due to her attitude towards me for something that I believe it's not my fault. Some advice please remove the joint waitlist option from Yelp if you're not using it anymore. And no point was a host apologetic or offer any solutions. It was more of trying to prove a point that they don't use yelp and I have to wait. Finally, we got our seat for four and we proceeded to have dinner. The ambiance was OK a little bit busy and the servers were a little confused because there was a couple of them that came over to ask for my drink order and if we had ordered so there was a little bit of back-and-forth on that. The food was just OK. The food like a little bit of flavor and it wasn't much different than going to a panda express. We thought there would be more flavor and the experience would be much better since it was a full dine in restaurant. It was my husband's and my first time at Panda Inn, and we absolutely loved it! The service was top tier from the moment we walked in from the friendly host to the gentleman who took our order at the bar while we waited to be seated. Mat (I'm not sure if he was a manager) made sure everything came out to our liking and gave us some really great recommendations. I had lunch here last week and I'm very disappointed with the quality of food now from about 5 years ago. I ordered the wonton soup and it came in a small bowl and instead of the usual bokchoy for the vegetables, it had spinach instead! Who serves that in a wonton soup? That's not all, the wonton was filled with little to nothing meat mixed with cilantro. I'm betting this is the same wonton soup mix from Costco's frozen items because I've had it before and never liked the taste of it. This soup never tasted prepared in the kitchen at all. The egg rolls were horrible. Yes it was crispy on the outside but my goodness, the vegetables were soggy inside! The beef broccoli had more broccoli than the beef itself. Seems like they are cutting corners on everything they serve now. Quality of food is not worth what you're paying for. You bet, this will be my last time eating here. read more

Panda Inn has already established itself as the elevated Panda Express experience...to me, it's always curious to make those small comparisons. Overall, the food is very good...some tastes like what they have at da X'Press but the presentation is of course different being an actual sit-down full-service restaurant. Service was fast and food came out quickly (our family member pre-order everything). Everything tasted great! Service was good, not overly friendly/outgoing vibes but they were all obviously holding it down as it was a very busy Sunday lunchtime. Ample parking lot in front. Honestly all the dishes are pretty good but I especially love the ginger fish with scallion. However I also really like the sizzling rice soup and egg drop soup. read more

I was introduced to this place by one of my long time best friends. I've had my kids baptism reception here, celebrated numerous family birthdays and anniversaries. It's a special place for me. There a lot of items on the menu but I'm somewhat a creature of habit and these are the only items I order from here: Beef and broccoli: the meat is always so tender and the broccoli steamed to perfection. I've had it other places where everything is just tough and not enjoyable because of so much chewing lol Orange chicken: it's orange chicken but it's good Honey walnut shrimp: The best in my opinion. The shrimps were huge. It has a little crunch coating to it and it wasn't overwhelmed with mayo. This is my favorite dish here. Pan fried noodles: Doused with so much flavor. So good but I think I will try the chow fun noodles or lo mein next time. The pan fried noodles had too much crunch for me. The ambiance gives off 80's/90's Asian vibes. The restaurant is very big with beautiful traditional design and setup. Our server was so friendly and attentive throughout our visit. We ordered the Panda Beef, Lemon Chicken, Beef Lo Mein, Chicken fried rice, Crispy Garlic Chicken, & Honey Walnut Shrimp. The portions were all perfect for sharing and the dishes were all tasty and flavorful. The servers were so kind and even packed up our leftovers for us! There are multiple dining rooms so they can accommodate a lot of people at one time, but plan accordingly if you have a group larger than 4, I would recommend making a reservation. I tried the tofu and eggplant lunch special and it was so delicious! The flavors were beyond what I had expected, the portion was perfect, I loved that it was served with soup and an egg roll. Best Honey Walnut Shrimp! Been eating at Panda Inn since the 90s when they had their location in San Diego. Now I go to the one in La Palma since it's the only one in OC. Jean and Bobbi were excellent for my party of six celebrating Galentine's and the Lunar New Year. In addition to the honey walnut shrimp, we also ordered chicken salad, crab wonton, panda beef, orange chicken, pan fried noodles, and fish in black bean sauce. Great dishes. This is a popular spot for Americanized Chinese cuisine. I want to say the satisfaction level as far as food went was mediocre at best. Service was quite efficient considering we were a very large group (40+) of adults, teens plus little children. Kudos to the staff for bringing out the dishes in succession with no mishaps. The orange chicken here is so different from what other Asian restaurants offer: the sauce here was quite dark, and the added dried red peppers made me think it was Kung Pao chicken. The braised green bean with garlic dish is quite good. We also had chow mein, which had a very dark sauce , which I did not find appealing. Every-time we go, it's usually about 15 of us, and they accommodate us very well. We usually order in feast style, and our plates come out clean. This time, we ordered the Orange Chicken, Panda Beef (which is amazing !), the Fried Rice, Walnut Shrimp, Steamed Shrimp and more. It all tasted: incredible, you can't go wrong with anything you order here! Sat in the bar where a man who said he was a Mgr and had fixed us drinks before came to serve us. My wife's drink slipped off the bar and broke. He went and apparently asked someone else what to do. He charged us for the lost drink and we left. He would not replace it without another charge. He said he answered to a higher up. We have never gone back and never will. Yum with a side dish of delish! My husband and I decided to stop in for lunch as we always look at these locations knowing they are the parent of Panda Express (I think that's how you say it) and wondered what it would be like. We are super pleased to say that we had a fantastic time as the staff was super amazing and understanding when our near 1 year old was being noisy and decided to take me for a walk around the restaurant as well as the food being so good. The restaurant also had a really beautiful look and gave the perfect feel of Chinese cuisine restaurant. My husband and I were even talking about how we would most likely want to make this our lunch spot anytime we had to take our son to his doctors appointments the food was that good and the service was that amazing.
