We just had the most amazing lunch banquet for my mother's special birthday. We had a party of 27 at 3 large tables. We ordered too much food(as we always do), but each dish came out freshly made and delicious. Our favorites were honey walnut shrimp, Mongolian beef, spicy eggplant and tofu, and bok choy with mushrooms. The attentiveness of the entire staff was second to none, and everyone commented how we were treated so responsively and pleasantly as we carried on for over two hours.  We would heartily recommend the Panda Inn for your special occasion (or just for a great meal)! read more

If you ask for any changes on a dish you have to really stress it. I've been 4-5 times and I usually ask for dressing on the side and no wonton strips on the salad- I have yet to get it on the first try. I've only sent it back 2 of the times for a fix so maybe I'm part of the problem if they think people will just take it even if a little off. Love the fortune cookies though. read more

Last but not least a very simple dessert bar. I do think the price was high for what I got. Knock off a few bucks and it would of been worth it. Ive been to other Sunday Brunch buffets that offer more. I didn't waste any time packing my plate with Orange chicken, house beef, mu shu pork, salad and pork buns. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I came with a group of 10 people. We ordered a ton of food with plenty of leftovers and each paid less than $25! The panda beef was my favorite - small, crispy pieces of beef in a sweet, tangy sauce. It was a little too sweet for my taste but still delicious. I also really loved the braised string beans - I am a huge garlic lover and they were loaded with garlic! The honey walnut shrimp came highly recommended - I thought it was good, but not good enough to justify ordering 2 dishes for our table of 10 people. It was just a little underwhelming. We also ordered orange chicken and lo mein. Everything was tasty and portions were generous. The difference between the "regular" and "family" sized portion is significant. I wish there was one in between or maybe that the regular was just slightly bigger. The best touch is at the end, with the white chocolate covered fortune cookies. There's something about going to an express Asian food I don't like, maybe because I grew up going to eat at a small restaurant that served the best sweet and sour pork, they served big chunks of crispy pork with big chunks of pineapple. I love going to a nice sit down restaurant to admire the decorative statues or paintings, this place is beautifully decorated. They have great service the servers use matching uniforms, they are very friendly and polite. We ordered the Spicy trio it was delicious. This restaurant it's right in the same center where my clinic is, I do think it is due for a new paint job because it looks a little abandoned. I'm glad my mother knew otherwise, from now on whenever I have a craving for Asian food I will be coming back here. read more

Star is for the friendly helpful staff only. The food on the other hand is bleh. Zero stars if I could. I used to eat here almost on a biweekly basis and had team dinners here every now and then. Granted, I haven't eaten here in almost 10 years but wow has it changed. Everything is just cloyingly sweet and so redundant. Why change your recipes? Not everyone likes "orange sauce" and now all my past favorites have gone from a soy based sauce to "orange this" or "spicy orange that". I have been to panda inn back in the day, not this location but the one off the 60 I believe. Man I was excited because I remember it being so good, but I was disappointed. I ordered the house rice and it was bland. The pork in it was so off putting that I couldn't eat it. I put it in the fridge because I don't believe in throwing out food. It was over priced for the small amount of rice you get. The garlic noodles were dry and didn't taste like garlic one bit. The shrimp over power the dish. Again another small amount for the price. 4 stars for the food and 5 stars for keeping the tables clean and santized after each seating and servers wearing face shields. My first dine-in since start of the pandemic, feeling a bit apprehensive but the reduced capacity and cleanliness of the dining room made it a good, safe experience. I really like coming here during lunch on the weekdays. I think their lunch specials are awesome. Yes, it still has the regular Panda Express taste, but they have different things on the menu and all is tasty! The combo also comes with hot tea, side salad, your choice of soup and an egg roll. Visited the Panda Inn in La Habra about 2 weeks ago. The food quality was sensational. Since it was a large gathering and items were presented "family style" we had the opportunity to indulge in 9-10 dishes. Every one of them was top notch, seasoned perfectly and served warm. Their wait staff was always one step ahead of needed service and we were treated warmly throughout our time there. Despite the fact that this particular Panda branch is about 90 minutes from my home I do expect to return there again. read more

Think upscale Panda Express... We were staying at a nearby hotel and needed to find a place with take out to get dinner and bring it back to our rooms. We ordered a family size meal, with an appetizer and separate meal. It took a lot longer than expected, but was well worth the wait. The garlic noodles with chicken are to die for! They also included unique fortune cookies that were partially dipped in white chocolate. I know this is part of the Panda Express family, but the food here is leaps and bounds better than Express. All I can say is we usually come here for family get together's and every time we've gone here, the service is always top notch. That's usually hard to find in Chinese restaurants. The place is upscale and very clean. We haven't had a bad experience with the quality and taste of the food. Prices are comparable to other large scale Chinese restaurants. Since the other upscale Chinese restaurant we go to, Royal Garden in Artesia has closed permanently, we will be having our events here more often. read more

I haven't been back to Panda Inn in years and was hesitant when my bf suggested it. My exact words were "but it's basically an overpriced Panda Express!" Alas, with no better ideas and at the point of starvation, I reluctantly agreed. The place is just as I remembered and I immediately regretted my decision as I realized I was the only Asian person in the dining room. Sigh. We got the crispy calamari appetizer along with the honey walnut shrimp and orange chicken (regular size). The food was solid and as expected. The service was prompt and our food came out fairly quickly. We got fortune cookies that were partially dipped in white chocolate with our check; that was a nice touch. Overall, food is solid though a bit overpriced in my opinion. I don't mind dropping money on great food but $75 for dinner for two on a weeknight was a bit much especially when the quality was only slightly better than Panda Express. Suffice to say we probably won't be returning for another few more years. P.S. don't forget to check into Yelp to get six free fortune cookies!
